      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="5975">Stand</strongs>in the <strongs number="2691">court</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, which <strongs number="935">come</strongs>to <strongs number="7812">worship</strongs>in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="6680">command</strongs>thee to <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them; <strongs number="1639">diminish</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>a <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='3'>If so <strongs number="194">be</strongs>they will <strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs>, and <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>from his <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">way</strongs>, that I may <strongs number="5162">repent</strongs>me <strongs number="413">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="2803">purpose</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto them <strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="7455">evil</strongs>of their <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And thou shalt <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="518">If</strongs>ye will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me, to <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>in my <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you, </verse>
      <verse number='5'>To <strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of my <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>you, both rising up <strongs number="7925">early</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sending</strongs><em> them </em>, but ye have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then will I <strongs number="5414">make</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>like <strongs number="7887">Shiloh</strongs>, and will <strongs number="5414">make</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>a <strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>So the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Now it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><em> him </em>to <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, that the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="8610">took</strongs>him, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Thou shalt surely <strongs number="4191 4191">die</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="4069">Why</strongs>hast thou <strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs>in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>like <strongs number="7887">Shiloh</strongs>, and <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall be <strongs number="2717">desolate</strongs><strongs number="4480 369">without</strongs>an <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>? And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>were <strongs number="6950">gathered</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>When the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">things</strongs>, then they came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>from the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and sat <strongs number="3427">down</strongs>in the <strongs number="6607">entry</strongs>of the <strongs number="2319">new</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <em> house </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Then <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>and <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="4941">worthy</strongs>to <strongs number="4194">die</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he hath <strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>ye have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>with your <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Then <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>and <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>me to <strongs number="5012">prophesy</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>and <strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>ye have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Therefore <strongs number="6258">now</strongs><strongs number="3190">amend</strongs>your <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>and your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>, and <strongs number="8085">obey</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>your <strongs number="430">God</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="5162">repent</strongs>him <strongs number="413">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="1696">pronounced</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>As for <strongs number="589">me</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I <em> am </em>in your <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>: <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>with me as <strongs number="5869">seemeth</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>and <strongs number="3477">meet</strongs>unto you. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="389">But</strongs>know ye for <strongs number="3045 3045">certain</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>put me to <strongs number="4191 *853">death</strongs>, <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>shall <strongs number="3588">surely</strongs><strongs number="5414">bring</strongs><strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>yourselves, and <strongs number="413">upon</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>thereof: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>of a <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>me <strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>you to <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>in your <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>; <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="4941">worthy</strongs>to <strongs number="4194">die</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he hath <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>us in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>Then rose <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="376">certain</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 2205">elders</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6951">assembly</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="4320">Micah</strongs>the <strongs number="4183">Morasthite</strongs><strongs number="1961 5012">prophesied</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>; <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>shall be <strongs number="2790">plowed</strongs><em> like </em>a <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, and <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">become</strongs><strongs number="5856">heaps</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>as the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>of a <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Did <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>put him at all to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>? did he <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3372">fear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="2470 *853 6440">besought</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5162">repented</strongs>him <strongs number="413">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he had <strongs number="1696">pronounced</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>them?       <verse number='20'>And there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>that <strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs>in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="8098">Shemaiah</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 7157">Kirjath</strongs>-jearim, who <strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And when <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>to put him to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>: but when <strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>it, he was <strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs>, and <strongs number="1272">fled</strongs>, and went <strongs number="935">into</strongs><strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>into <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, <em> namely </em>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="494">Elnathan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5907">Achbor</strongs>, and <em> certain </em><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him <strongs number="413">into</strongs><strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And they fetched <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="223">Urijah</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>him <strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>; who <strongs number="5221">slew</strongs>him with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his dead <strongs number="5038">body</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="6913">graves</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">common</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="389">Nevertheless</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="296">Ahikam</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="8227">Shaphan</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>, that they should <strongs number="1115">not</strongs><strongs number="5414">give</strongs>him into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>to put him to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>. </verse>
