      <verse number='1'>In <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>was Hezekiah <strongs number="2470 2396">sick</strongs>unto <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>. And <strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="531">Amoz</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, Set thine house in <strongs number="6680 1004">order</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>shalt <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2421">live</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="5437">turned</strongs>his <strongs number="6440">face</strongs><strongs number="413">toward</strongs>the <strongs number="7023">wall</strongs>, and <strongs number="6419">prayed</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I beseech <strongs number="577">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">how</strongs>I have <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee in <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>and with a <strongs number="8003">perfect</strongs><strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, and have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>in thy <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>. And <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="1058">wept</strongs><strongs number="1419 1065">sore</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Then <strongs number="1961">came</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1980">Go</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, I have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs>, I have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="1832">tears</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3254">add</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>thy <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="2568 6240">fifteen</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And I will <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>thee and <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>: and I will <strongs number="1598 5921">defend</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="226">sign</strongs>unto thee <strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he hath <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will bring <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6738">shadow</strongs>of the <strongs number="4609">degrees</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>is gone <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>in the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs><strongs number="4609">dial</strongs>of <strongs number="271">Ahaz</strongs>, <strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="4609">degrees</strongs><strongs number="322">backward</strongs>. So the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs><strongs number="7725">returned</strongs><strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="4609">degrees</strongs>, by <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="4609">degrees</strongs>it was gone <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>The <strongs number="4385">writing</strongs>of <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, when he had been <strongs number="2470">sick</strongs>, and was <strongs number="2421">recovered</strongs>of his <strongs number="4480 2483">sickness</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>in the cutting <strongs number="1824">off</strongs>of my <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, I shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>to the <strongs number="8179">gates</strongs>of the <strongs number="7585">grave</strongs>: I am <strongs number="6485">deprived</strongs>of the <strongs number="3499">residue</strongs>of my <strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>I <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7200">see</strongs>the <strongs number="3050">LORD</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="3050">LORD</strongs>, in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs>: I shall <strongs number="5027">behold</strongs><strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of the <strongs number="2309">world</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Mine <strongs number="1755">age</strongs>is <strongs number="5265">departed</strongs>, and is <strongs number="1540">removed</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>me as a <strongs number="7473">shepherd</strongs>'s <strongs number="168">tent</strongs>: I have cut <strongs number="7088">off</strongs>like a <strongs number="707">weaver</strongs>my <strongs number="2416">life</strongs>: he will cut me <strongs number="1214">off</strongs>with pining <strongs number="4480 1803">sickness</strongs>: from <strongs number="4480 3117">day</strongs><em> even </em><strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="3915">night</strongs>wilt thou make an <strongs number="7999">end</strongs>of me. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>I <strongs number="7737">reckoned</strongs><strongs number="5704">till</strongs><strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, <em> that </em>, as a <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>will he <strongs number="7665">break</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs>: from <strongs number="4480 3117">day</strongs><em> even </em><strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="3915">night</strongs>wilt thou make an <strongs number="7999">end</strongs>of me. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Like a <strongs number="5483">crane</strongs><em> or </em>a <strongs number="5693">swallow</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>did I <strongs number="6850">chatter</strongs>: I did <strongs number="1897">mourn</strongs>as a <strongs number="3123">dove</strongs>: mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><strongs number="1809">fail</strongs><em> with </em><em> looking </em><strongs number="4791">upward</strongs>: O <strongs number="136">LORD</strongs>, I am <strongs number="6234">oppressed</strongs>; <strongs number="6149">undertake</strongs>for me. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="4100">What</strongs>shall I <strongs number="1696">say</strongs>? he hath both <strongs number="559">spoken</strongs>unto me, and <strongs number="1931">himself</strongs>hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><em> it </em>: I shall go <strongs number="1718">softly</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="4751">bitterness</strongs>of my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>O <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">by</strongs>these <em> things </em><em> men </em><strongs number="2421">live</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2004">these</strongs><em> things </em><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2416">life</strongs>of my <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>: so wilt thou <strongs number="2492">recover</strongs>me, and make me to <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, for <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>I had great <strongs number="4751 4843">bitterness</strongs>: but <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>hast in <strongs number="2836">love</strongs>to my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs><em> delivered </em><em> it </em>from the <strongs number="4480 7845">pit</strongs>of <strongs number="1097">corruption</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="2399">sins</strongs><strongs number="310">behind</strongs>thy <strongs number="1460">back</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="7585">grave</strongs><strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="3034">praise</strongs>thee, <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>can <em> not </em><strongs number="1984">celebrate</strongs>thee: they that go <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>into the <strongs number="953">pit</strongs><strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="7663">hope</strongs><strongs number="413">for</strongs>thy <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>The <strongs number="2416">living</strongs>, the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>shall <strongs number="3034">praise</strongs>thee, as I <em> do </em>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: the <strongs number="1">father</strongs>to the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>shall make <strongs number="3045 413">known</strongs>thy <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> was </em><em> ready </em>to <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>me: therefore we will sing my <strongs number="5059">songs</strongs>to the stringed <strongs number="5058">instruments</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of our <strongs number="2416">life</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>For <strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>had <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Let them <strongs number="5375">take</strongs>a <strongs number="1690">lump</strongs>of <strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, and lay <em> it </em>for a <strongs number="4799">plaster</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="7822">boil</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="2421">recover</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>also had <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="226">sign</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>I shall go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>? </verse>
