      <verse number='1'>And there shall come <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>a <strongs number="2415">rod</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 1503">stem</strongs>of <strongs number="3448">Jesse</strongs>, and a <strongs number="5342">Branch</strongs>shall <strongs number="6509">grow</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 8328">roots</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>and <strongs number="998">understanding</strongs>, the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>and <strongs number="1369">might</strongs>, the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>and of the <strongs number="3374">fear</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And shall make him of quick <strongs number="7306">understanding</strongs>in the <strongs number="3374">fear</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>after the <strongs number="4758">sight</strongs>of his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="3198">reprove</strongs>after the <strongs number="4926">hearing</strongs>of his <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But with <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>shall he <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs>, and <strongs number="3198">reprove</strongs>with <strongs number="4334">equity</strongs>for the <strongs number="6035">meek</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>with the <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>of his <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>, and with the <strongs number="7307">breath</strongs>of his <strongs number="8193">lips</strongs>shall he <strongs number="4191">slay</strongs>the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>the <strongs number="232">girdle</strongs>of his <strongs number="4975">loins</strongs>, and <strongs number="530">faithfulness</strongs>the <strongs number="232">girdle</strongs>of his <strongs number="2504">reins</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>The <strongs number="2061">wolf</strongs>also shall <strongs number="1481">dwell</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3532">lamb</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5246">leopard</strongs>shall lie <strongs number="7257">down</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="1423">kid</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5695">calf</strongs>and the young <strongs number="3715">lion</strongs>and the <strongs number="4806">fatling</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>; and a <strongs number="6996">little</strongs><strongs number="5288">child</strongs>shall <strongs number="5090">lead</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="6510">cow</strongs>and the <strongs number="1677">bear</strongs>shall <strongs number="7462">feed</strongs>; their young <strongs number="3206">ones</strongs>shall lie <strongs number="7257">down</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>: and the <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>shall <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="8401">straw</strongs>like the <strongs number="1241">ox</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And the <strongs number="3243">sucking</strongs>child shall <strongs number="8173">play</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="2352">hole</strongs>of the <strongs number="6620">asp</strongs>, and the weaned <strongs number="1580">child</strongs>shall <strongs number="1911">put</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="6848">cockatrice</strongs>'s <strongs number="3975">den</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>They shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7489">hurt</strongs><strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="6944">holy</strongs><strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>shall be <strongs number="4390">full</strongs>of the <strongs number="1844">knowledge</strongs>of <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, as the <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs><strongs number="3680">cover</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>there shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="8328">root</strongs>of <strongs number="3448">Jesse</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>shall <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs>for an <strongs number="5251">ensign</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; <strongs number="413">to</strongs>it shall the <strongs number="1471">Gentiles</strongs><strongs number="1875">seek</strongs>: and his <strongs number="4496">rest</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="3519">glorious</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <em> that </em>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>shall set his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="3254">again</strongs>the second <strongs number="8145">time</strongs>to <strongs number="7069">recover</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7604">left</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 804">Assyria</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 6624">Pathros</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 3568">Cush</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 5867">Elam</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 8152">Shinar</strongs>, and from <strongs number="4480 2574">Hamath</strongs>, and from the <strongs number="4480 339">islands</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And he shall set <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>an <strongs number="5251">ensign</strongs>for the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="622">assemble</strongs>the <strongs number="5080">outcasts</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and gather <strongs number="6908">together</strongs>the <strongs number="5310">dispersed</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 702">four</strongs><strongs number="3671">corners</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>The <strongs number="7068">envy</strongs>also of <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>shall <strongs number="5493">depart</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6887">adversaries</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>shall be cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>: <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7065">envy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6887">vex</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>But they shall <strongs number="5774">fly</strongs>upon the <strongs number="3802">shoulders</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>toward the <strongs number="3220">west</strongs>; they shall <strongs number="962">spoil</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1121">them</strongs>of the <strongs number="6924">east</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="4916">lay</strongs>their <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>upon <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>and <strongs number="4124">Moab</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs>shall <strongs number="4928">obey</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall utterly <strongs number="2763">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3956">tongue</strongs>of the <strongs number="4714">Egyptian</strongs><strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>; and with his <strongs number="5868">mighty</strongs><strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>shall he <strongs number="5130">shake</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="5104">river</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>it in the <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="5158">streams</strongs>, and make <em> men </em>go <strongs number="1869">over</strongs><strongs number="5275">dry</strongs>-shod. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And there shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="4546">highway</strongs>for the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7604">left</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 804">Assyria</strongs>; like <strongs number="834">as</strongs>it <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>to <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>that he came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
