      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1945">Woe</strongs>unto them that <strongs number="2710">decree</strongs><strongs number="205">unrighteous</strongs><strongs number="2711">decrees</strongs>, and that <strongs number="3789">write</strongs><strongs number="5999">grievousness</strongs><em> which </em>they have <strongs number="3789">prescribed</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='2'>To turn <strongs number="5186">aside</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">needy</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1779">judgment</strongs>, and to take <strongs number="1497">away</strongs>the <strongs number="4941">right</strongs>from the <strongs number="6041">poor</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, that <strongs number="490">widows</strongs>may <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>their <strongs number="7998">prey</strongs>, and <em> that </em>they may <strongs number="962">rob</strongs>the <strongs number="3490">fatherless</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>will ye <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="6486">visitation</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="7722">desolation</strongs><em> which </em>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 4801">far</strongs>? <strongs number="5921">to</strongs><strongs number="4310">whom</strongs>will ye <strongs number="5127">flee</strongs>for <strongs number="5833">help</strongs>? and <strongs number="575">where</strongs>will ye <strongs number="5800">leave</strongs>your <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="1115">Without</strongs>me they shall bow <strongs number="3766">down</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="616">prisoners</strongs>, and they shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="2026">slain</strongs>.       <verse number='5'>O <strongs number="804">Assyrian</strongs>, the <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>of mine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4294">staff</strongs>in their <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>is mine <strongs number="2195">indignation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>him against a <strongs number="2611">hypocritical</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of my <strongs number="5678">wrath</strongs>will I give him a <strongs number="6680">charge</strongs>, to <strongs number="7997">take</strongs>the <strongs number="7998">spoil</strongs>, and to <strongs number="962">take</strongs>the <strongs number="957">prey</strongs>, and to tread them <strongs number="4823">down</strongs>like the <strongs number="2563">mire</strongs>of the <strongs number="2351">streets</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'><strongs number="834">As</strongs>my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>hath <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>the <strongs number="4467">kingdoms</strongs>of the <strongs number="457">idols</strongs>, and whose graven <strongs number="6456">images</strongs>did excel them of <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>and of <strongs number="4480 8111">Samaria</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Shall I <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>and her <strongs number="457">idols</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs><strongs number="6213">do</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>and her <strongs number="6091">idols</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Wherefore it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="3588">when</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>hath <strongs number="1214">performed</strongs>his <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="4639">work</strongs>upon <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>and on <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, I will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>the <strongs number="6529">fruit</strongs>of the <strongs number="1433">stout</strongs><strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">and</strongs>the <strongs number="8597">glory</strongs>of his <strongs number="7312">high</strongs><strongs number="5869">looks</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>he <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>, By the <strongs number="3581">strength</strongs>of my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>I have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><em> it </em>, and by my <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I am <strongs number="995">prudent</strongs>: and I have <strongs number="5493">removed</strongs>the <strongs number="1367">bounds</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and have <strongs number="8154">robbed</strongs>their <strongs number="6259">treasures</strongs>, and I have put <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>like a <strongs number="47">valiant</strongs><em> man </em>: </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>hath <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>as a <strongs number="7064">nest</strongs>the <strongs number="2428">riches</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: and as one <strongs number="622">gathereth</strongs><strongs number="1000">eggs</strongs><em> that </em><em> are </em><strongs number="5800">left</strongs>, have <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="622">gathered</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>; and there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs>that <strongs number="5074">moved</strongs>the <strongs number="3671">wing</strongs>, or <strongs number="6475">opened</strongs>the <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>, or <strongs number="6850">peeped</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>Shall the <strongs number="1631">axe</strongs>boast <strongs number="6286">itself</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>him that <strongs number="2672">heweth</strongs>therewith? <em> or </em>shall the <strongs number="4883">saw</strongs>magnify <strongs number="1431">itself</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>him that <strongs number="5130">shaketh</strongs>it? as if the <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>should shake <em> itself </em><strongs number="5130">against</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>them that lift it <strongs number="7311">up</strongs>, <em> or </em>as if the <strongs number="4294">staff</strongs>should lift <strongs number="7311">up</strongs><em> itself, </em><em> as </em><em> if </em><em> it </em><em> were </em><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="6086">wood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>shall the <strongs number="113">Lord</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">Lord</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>among his fat <strongs number="4924">ones</strongs><strongs number="7332">leanness</strongs>; and <strongs number="8478">under</strongs>his <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>he shall <strongs number="3344">kindle</strongs>a <strongs number="3350">burning</strongs>like the <strongs number="3350">burning</strongs>of a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="216">light</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and his Holy <strongs number="6918">One</strongs>for a <strongs number="3852">flame</strongs>: and it shall <strongs number="1197">burn</strongs>and <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>his <strongs number="7898">thorns</strongs>and his <strongs number="8068">briers</strongs>in <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And shall <strongs number="3615">consume</strongs>the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of his <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>, and of his fruitful <strongs number="3759">field</strongs>, both <strongs number="4480 5315">soul</strongs>and <strongs number="1320">body</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as when a <strongs number="5263">standard</strongs>-bearer <strongs number="4549">fainteth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And the <strongs number="7605">rest</strongs>of the <strongs number="6086">trees</strongs>of his <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="4557">few</strongs>, that a <strongs number="5288">child</strongs>may <strongs number="3789">write</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <em> that </em>the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and such as are <strongs number="6413">escaped</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>, shall <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="3254">again</strongs><strongs number="8172">stay</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him that <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them; but shall <strongs number="8172">stay</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the Holy <strongs number="6918">One</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, in <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>The <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>, <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1368">mighty</strongs><strongs number="410">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="518">though</strongs>thy <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as the <strongs number="2344">sand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, <em> yet </em>a <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of them shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>: the <strongs number="3631">consumption</strongs><strongs number="2782">decreed</strongs>shall <strongs number="7857">overflow</strongs>with <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>shall <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>a <strongs number="3617">consumption</strongs>, even <strongs number="2782">determined</strongs>, in the <strongs number="7130">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, O my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>that <strongs number="3427">dwellest</strongs>in <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>, be <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 804">Assyrian</strongs>: he shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>thee with a <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>, and shall lift <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>his <strongs number="4294">staff</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee, after the <strongs number="1870">manner</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>a <strongs number="4213">very</strongs><strongs number="4592">little</strongs>while, and the <strongs number="2195">indignation</strongs>shall <strongs number="3615">cease</strongs>, and mine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>their <strongs number="8399">destruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>shall stir <strongs number="5782">up</strongs>a <strongs number="7752">scourge</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>him according to the <strongs number="4347">slaughter</strongs>of <strongs number="4080">Midian</strongs>at the <strongs number="6697">rock</strongs>of <strongs number="6159">Oreb</strongs>: and <em> as </em>his <strongs number="4294">rod</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, so shall he lift it <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>after the <strongs number="1870">manner</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <em> that </em>his <strongs number="5448">burden</strongs>shall be taken <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>thy <strongs number="7926">shoulder</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5923">yoke</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>thy <strongs number="6677">neck</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5923">yoke</strongs>shall be <strongs number="2254">destroyed</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="8081">anointing</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>He is <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs><strongs number="5857">Aiath</strongs>, he is <strongs number="5674">passed</strongs>to <strongs number="4051">Migron</strongs>; at <strongs number="4363">Michmash</strongs>he hath laid <strongs number="6485">up</strongs>his <strongs number="3627">carriages</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='29'>They are gone <strongs number="5674">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4569">passage</strongs>: they have taken up their <strongs number="4411">lodging</strongs>at <strongs number="1387">Geba</strongs>; <strongs number="7414">Ramah</strongs>is <strongs number="2729">afraid</strongs>; <strongs number="1390">Gibeah</strongs>of <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>is <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'>Lift <strongs number="6670">up</strongs>thy <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, O <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="1554">Gallim</strongs>: cause it to be <strongs number="7181">heard</strongs>unto <strongs number="3919">Laish</strongs>, O <strongs number="6041">poor</strongs><strongs number="6068">Anathoth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'><strongs number="4088">Madmenah</strongs>is <strongs number="5074">removed</strongs>; the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="1374">Gebim</strongs>gather themselves to <strongs number="5756">flee</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>As <strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>shall he <strongs number="5975">remain</strongs>at <strongs number="5011">Nob</strongs>that <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: he shall <strongs number="5130">shake</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><em> against </em>the <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>, the <strongs number="1389">hill</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="113">Lord</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, shall <strongs number="5586">lop</strongs>the <strongs number="6288">bough</strongs>with <strongs number="4637">terror</strongs>: and the high <strongs number="7312">ones</strongs>of <strongs number="6967">stature</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>hewn <strongs number="1438">down</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1364">haughty</strongs>shall be <strongs number="8213">humbled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>And he shall cut <strongs number="5362">down</strongs>the <strongs number="5442">thickets</strongs>of the <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>with <strongs number="1270">iron</strongs>, and <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>by a mighty <strongs number="117">one</strongs>. </verse>
