<verse number='1'>Through <strongs number="8378">desire</strongs>a man, having separated <strongs number="6504">himself</strongs>, <strongs number="1245">seeketh</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="1566">intermeddleth</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="8454">wisdom</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='2'>A <strongs number="3684">fool</strongs>hath <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="2654">delight</strongs>in <strongs number="8394">understanding</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>that his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>may discover <strongs number="1540">itself</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='3'>When the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>, <em> then </em><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="937">contempt</strongs>, and <strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="7036">ignominy</strongs><strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='4'>The <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs><em> are </em><em> as </em><strongs number="6013">deep</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, <em> and </em>the <strongs number="4726">wellspring</strongs>of <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs><em> as </em>a <strongs number="5042">flowing</strongs><strongs number="5158">brook</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='5'><em> It </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>to <strongs number="5375">accept</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">person</strongs>of the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>, to <strongs number="5186">overthrow</strongs>the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs>in <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='6'>A <strongs number="3684">fool</strongs>'s <strongs number="8193">lips</strongs><strongs number="935">enter</strongs>into <strongs number="7379">contention</strongs>, and his <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs><strongs number="7121">calleth</strongs>for <strongs number="4112">strokes</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='7'>A <strongs number="3684">fool</strongs>'s <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="4288">destruction</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8193">lips</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="4170">snare</strongs>of his <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='8'>The <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of a <strongs number="5372">talebearer</strongs><em> are </em>as <strongs number="3859">wounds</strongs>, and <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>go <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>into the innermost <strongs number="2315">parts</strongs>of the <strongs number="990">belly</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='9'><strongs number="1931">He</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>that is <strongs number="7503">slothful</strongs>in his <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>is <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>to him that is a <strongs number="1167">great</strongs><strongs number="4889">waster</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='10'>The <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="5797">strong</strongs><strongs number="4026">tower</strongs>: the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><strongs number="7323">runneth</strongs>into it, and is <strongs number="7682">safe</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='11'>The rich <strongs number="6223">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="1952">wealth</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="5797">strong</strongs><strongs number="7151">city</strongs>, and as a <strongs number="7682">high</strongs><strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>in his own <strongs number="4906">conceit</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='12'><strongs number="6440">Before</strongs><strongs number="7667">destruction</strongs>the <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>of <strongs number="376">man</strongs>is <strongs number="1361">haughty</strongs>, and <strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="3519">honor</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6038">humility</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='13'>He that <strongs number="7725">answereth</strongs>a <strongs number="1697">matter</strongs><strongs number="2962">before</strongs>he <strongs number="8085">heareth</strongs><em> it </em>, <strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="200">folly</strongs>and <strongs number="3639">shame</strongs>unto him. </verse>
<verse number='14'>The <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>will <strongs number="3557">sustain</strongs>his <strongs number="4245">infirmity</strongs>; but a <strongs number="5218">wounded</strongs><strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs>can <strongs number="5375">bear</strongs>? </verse>

<verse number='16'>A <strongs number="120">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="4976">gift</strongs>maketh <strongs number="7337">room</strongs>for him, and <strongs number="5148">bringeth</strongs>him <strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>men. </verse>
