      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs>, <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6855">Zipporah</strongs>, <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, <strongs number="310">after</strongs>he had sent her <strongs number="7964">back</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And her <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>; of <strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="259">one</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="1648">Gershom</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I have <strongs number="1961">been</strongs>an <strongs number="1616">alien</strongs>in a <strongs number="5237">strange</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="259">other</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="461">Eliezer</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <em> said </em><em> he, </em><em> was </em>mine <strongs number="5828">help</strongs>, and <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>me from the <strongs number="4480 2719">sword</strongs>of <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs>, <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, <strongs number="935">came</strongs>with his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>and his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, <strongs number="834 8033">where</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="2583">encamped</strongs>at the <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, <strongs number="589">I</strongs>thy <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs>am <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee, and thy <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, and her <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>her. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs>his <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, and did <strongs number="7812">obeisance</strongs>, and <strongs number="5401">kissed</strongs>him; and they <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs><strongs number="376">each</strongs><strongs number="7453">other</strongs>of <em> their </em><strongs number="7965">welfare</strongs>; and they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>into the <strongs number="168">tent</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="5608">told</strongs>his <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>and to the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>'s <strongs number="182">sake</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8513">travail</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>had come <strongs number="4672">upon</strongs>them by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and <em> how </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs><strongs number="2302">rejoiced</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2896">goodness</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>to <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>he had <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1288">Blessed</strongs><em> be </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>you out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs>, and out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>, <strongs number="834">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>I <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1419">greater</strongs>than <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>in the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">wherein</strongs>they dealt <strongs number="2102">proudly</strongs><em> he </em><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">above</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="3503">Jethro</strongs>, <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>a burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>and <strongs number="2077">sacrifices</strongs>for <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: and <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, to <strongs number="398">eat</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law <strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>on the <strongs number="4480 4283">morrow</strongs>, that <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="3427">sat</strongs>to <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="6153">evening</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto his <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, <strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me to <strongs number="1875">inquire</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3588">When</strongs>they <strongs number="1961">have</strongs>a <strongs number="1697">matter</strongs>, they <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me; and I <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="376">one</strongs>and <strongs number="7453">another</strongs>, and I do make <em> them </em><strongs number="3045">known</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2706">statutes</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8451">laws</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>' <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, The <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="6213">doest</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Thou wilt surely wear <strongs number="5034 5034">away</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">both</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">and</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>this <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><em> is </em>too <strongs number="3515">heavy</strongs><strongs number="4480">for</strongs>thee; thou art <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3201">able</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">perform</strongs>it thyself <strongs number="905">alone</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="8085">Hearken</strongs><strongs number="6258">now</strongs>unto my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, I will give thee <strongs number="3289">counsel</strongs>, and <strongs number="430">God</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee: <strongs number="1961">Be</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>for the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>to <strongs number="4136 430">Godward</strongs>, that <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>mayest <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">causes</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And thou shalt <strongs number="2094">teach</strongs>them <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2706">ordinances</strongs>and <strongs number="8451">laws</strongs>, and shalt <strongs number="3045">show</strongs>them <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>wherein they must <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4640">work</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>they must <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>Moreover <strongs number="859">thou</strongs>shalt <strongs number="2372">provide</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="2428">able</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>, such as <strongs number="3373">fear</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>, <strongs number="8130">hating</strongs><strongs number="1215">covetousness</strongs>; and <strongs number="7760">place</strongs><em> such </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>them, <em> to </em><em> be </em><strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="505">thousands</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="2572">fifties</strongs>, and <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="6235">tens</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And let them <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>at <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="6256">seasons</strongs>: and it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1697">matter</strongs>they shall <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee, but <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="6996">small</strongs><strongs number="1697">matter</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs>shall <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>: so shall it be <strongs number="7043">easier</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">for</strongs>thyself, and they shall <strongs number="5375">bear</strongs><em> the </em><em> burden </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>, and <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="6680">command</strongs>thee <em> so </em>, then thou shalt be <strongs number="3201">able</strongs>to <strongs number="5975">endure</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="935">go</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>their <strongs number="4725">place</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>So <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs>to the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of his <strongs number="2859">father</strongs>-in-law, and <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="559">said</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs><strongs number="977">chose</strongs><strongs number="2428">able</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">made</strongs>them <strongs number="7218">heads</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="505">thousands</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="2572">fifties</strongs>, and <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of <strongs number="6235">tens</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And they <strongs number="8199">judged</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>at <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="6256">seasons</strongs>: the <strongs number="7186">hard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1697">causes</strongs>they <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, but <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="6996">small</strongs><strongs number="1697">matter</strongs>they <strongs number="8199">judged</strongs><strongs number="1992">themselves</strongs>. </verse>
