      <verse number='1'>To the chief <strongs number="5329">Musician</strongs>, <em> A </em><em> Psalm </em>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, the <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">who</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7892">song</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><em> that </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>him from the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and from the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>: And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7355">love</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, my <strongs number="2391">strength</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>, and my <strongs number="4686">fortress</strongs>, and my <strongs number="6403">deliverer</strongs>; my <strongs number="410">God</strongs>, my <strongs number="6697">strength</strongs>, in whom I will <strongs number="2620">trust</strongs>; my <strongs number="4043">buckler</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7161">horn</strongs>of my <strongs number="3468">salvation</strongs>, <em> and </em>my high <strongs number="4869">tower</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>I will <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>upon the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> who </em><em> is </em><em> worthy </em>to be <strongs number="1984">praised</strongs>: so shall I be <strongs number="3467">saved</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>The <strongs number="2256">sorrows</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs><strongs number="661">compassed</strongs>me, and the <strongs number="5158">floods</strongs>of ungodly <strongs number="1100">men</strongs>made me <strongs number="1204">afraid</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>The <strongs number="2256">sorrows</strongs>of <strongs number="7585">hell</strongs>compassed me <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>: the <strongs number="4170">snares</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs><strongs number="6923">prevented</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>In my <strongs number="6862">distress</strongs>I called <strongs number="7121">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7768">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: he <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 1964">temple</strongs>, and my <strongs number="7775">cry</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>him, <em> even </em>into his <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Then the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs><strongs number="1607">shook</strongs>and <strongs number="7493">trembled</strongs>; the <strongs number="4146">foundations</strongs>also of the <strongs number="2022">hills</strongs><strongs number="7264">moved</strongs>and were <strongs number="1607">shaken</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he was <strongs number="2734">wroth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>There went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>a <strongs number="6227">smoke</strongs>out of his <strongs number="639">nostrils</strongs>, and <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs><strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>: <strongs number="1513">coals</strongs>were <strongs number="1197">kindled</strongs><strongs number="4480">by</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>He <strongs number="5186">bowed</strongs>the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>also, and came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>: and <strongs number="6205">darkness</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>his <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And he <strongs number="7392">rode</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>a <strongs number="3742">cherub</strongs>, and did <strongs number="5774">fly</strongs>: yea, he did <strongs number="1675">fly</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3671">wings</strongs>of the <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>He <strongs number="7896">made</strongs><strongs number="2824">darkness</strongs>his secret <strongs number="5643">place</strongs>; his <strongs number="5521">pavilion</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>him <em> were </em><strongs number="2824">dark</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs><em> and </em>thick <strongs number="5645">clouds</strongs>of the <strongs number="7834">skies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>At the <strongs number="4480 5051">brightness</strongs><em> that </em><em> was </em><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>him his thick <strongs number="5645">clouds</strongs><strongs number="5674">passed</strongs>, <strongs number="1259">hail</strongs><em> stones </em>and <strongs number="1513">coals</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>also <strongs number="7481">thundered</strongs>in the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5945">Highest</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>his <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>; <strongs number="1259">hail</strongs><em> stones </em>and <strongs number="1513">coals</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Yea, he sent <strongs number="7971">out</strongs>his <strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs>, and <strongs number="6327">scattered</strongs>them; and he shot <strongs number="7232">out</strongs><strongs number="1300">lightnings</strongs>, and <strongs number="2000">discomfited</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>Then the <strongs number="650">channels</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>were <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4146">foundations</strongs>of the <strongs number="8398">world</strongs>were <strongs number="1540">discovered</strongs>at thy <strongs number="4480 1606">rebuke</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, at the <strongs number="4480 5397">blast</strongs>of the <strongs number="7307">breath</strongs>of thy <strongs number="639">nostrils</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>He <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 4791">above</strongs>, he <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>me, he <strongs number="4871">drew</strongs>me out of many <strongs number="4480 4325 7227">waters</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>He <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>me from my <strongs number="5794">strong</strongs><strongs number="4480 341">enemy</strongs>, and from them which <strongs number="4480 8130">hated</strongs>me: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they were too <strongs number="553">strong</strongs><strongs number="4480">for</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>They <strongs number="6923">prevented</strongs>me in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of my <strongs number="343">calamity</strongs>: but the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>my <strongs number="4937">stay</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>He brought me <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>also into a large <strongs number="4800">place</strongs>; he <strongs number="2502">delivered</strongs>me, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he <strongs number="2654">delighted</strongs>in me. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1580">rewarded</strongs>me according to my <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>; according to the <strongs number="1252">cleanness</strongs>of my <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>hath he <strongs number="7725">recompensed</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I have <strongs number="8104">kept</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>wickedly <strongs number="7561">departed</strongs>from my <strongs number="4480 430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="4941">judgments</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>me, and I did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>put <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>his <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>I <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>also <strongs number="8549">upright</strongs><strongs number="5973">before</strongs>him, and I kept <strongs number="8104">myself</strongs>from mine <strongs number="4480 5771">iniquity</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>Therefore hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7725">recompensed</strongs>me according to my <strongs number="6664">righteousness</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="1252">cleanness</strongs>of my <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs><strongs number="5048">in</strongs>his <strongs number="5869">eyesight</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'><strongs number="5973">With</strongs>the <strongs number="2623">merciful</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="2616">merciful</strongs>; <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>an <strongs number="8549">upright</strongs><strongs number="1399">man</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="8552">upright</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="5973">With</strongs>the <strongs number="1305">pure</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="1305">pure</strongs>; and <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="6141">froward</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="6617">froward</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>thou <strongs number="859">wilt</strongs><strongs number="3467">save</strongs>the <strongs number="6041">afflicted</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; but wilt bring <strongs number="8213">down</strongs><strongs number="7311">high</strongs><strongs number="5869">looks</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>wilt <strongs number="215">light</strongs>my <strongs number="5216">candle</strongs>: the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>will <strongs number="5050">enlighten</strongs>my <strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>by thee I have run <strongs number="7323">through</strongs>a <strongs number="1416">troop</strongs>; and by my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>have I leaped <strongs number="1801">over</strongs>a <strongs number="7791">wall</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'><em> As </em><em> for </em><strongs number="410">God</strongs>, his <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="8549">perfect</strongs>: the <strongs number="565">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>is <strongs number="6884">tried</strongs>: <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="4043">buckler</strongs>to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>those that <strongs number="2620">trust</strongs>in him. </verse>
      <verse number='31'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="433">God</strongs><strongs number="4480 1107">save</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>? or <strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6697">rock</strongs><strongs number="2108">save</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='32'><em> It </em><em> is </em><strongs number="410">God</strongs>that <strongs number="247">girdeth</strongs>me with <strongs number="2428">strength</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">maketh</strongs>my <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="8549">perfect</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'>He <strongs number="7737">maketh</strongs>my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>like <strongs number="355">hinds</strongs>' <em> feet </em>, and <strongs number="5975">setteth</strongs>me <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>my high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>He <strongs number="3925">teacheth</strongs>my <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, so that a <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>of <strongs number="5154">steel</strongs>is <strongs number="5181">broken</strongs>by mine <strongs number="2220">arms</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='35'>Thou hast also <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>me the <strongs number="4043">shield</strongs>of thy <strongs number="3468">salvation</strongs>: and thy right <strongs number="3225">hand</strongs>hath holden me <strongs number="5582">up</strongs>, and thy <strongs number="6038">gentleness</strongs>hath made me <strongs number="7235">great</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'>Thou hast <strongs number="7337">enlarged</strongs>my <strongs number="6806">steps</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>me, that my <strongs number="7166">feet</strongs>did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4571">slip</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>I have <strongs number="7291">pursued</strongs>mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and <strongs number="5381">overtaken</strongs>them: <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>did I turn <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="5704">till</strongs>they were <strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='40'>Thou hast also <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>me the <strongs number="6203">necks</strongs>of mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>; that I might <strongs number="6789">destroy</strongs>them that <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>me. </verse>

      <verse number='43'>Thou hast <strongs number="6403">delivered</strongs>me from the <strongs number="4480 7379">strivings</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; <em> and </em>thou hast <strongs number="7760">made</strongs>me the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>: a <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><em> whom </em>I have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3045">known</strongs>shall <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>me. </verse>
