      <verse number='1'><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8147 6240">twelve</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="2572">fifty</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>But <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, like unto the <strongs number="8441">abominations</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had cast <strongs number="3423">out</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>For he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3169">Hezekiah</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>had broken <strongs number="5422">down</strongs>, and he reared <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>for <strongs number="1168">Baalim</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">made</strongs><strongs number="842">groves</strongs>, and <strongs number="7812">worshiped</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and <strongs number="5647">served</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Also he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whereof</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, In <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>shall my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>for <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>in the <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="2691">courts</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>caused <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>to <strongs number="5674">pass</strongs>through the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in the <strongs number="1516">valley</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2011">Hinnom</strongs>: also he observed <strongs number="6049">times</strongs>, and used <strongs number="5172">enchantments</strongs>, and used <strongs number="3784">witchcraft</strongs>, and dealt <strongs number="6213">with</strongs>a familiar <strongs number="178">spirit</strongs>, and with <strongs number="3049">wizards</strongs>: he <strongs number="6213">wrought</strongs><strongs number="7235">much</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, to provoke him to <strongs number="3707">anger</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And he <strongs number="7760">set</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a carved <strongs number="6459">image</strongs>, the <strongs number="5566">idol</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>, in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, of <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>had <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>and <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, In <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs>before <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7626">tribes</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, will I <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><strongs number="5865">forever</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="3808">Neither</strongs>will I any <strongs number="3254">more</strongs><strongs number="5493">remove</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7272">foot</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>from out <strongs number="4480 5921">of</strongs>the <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="5975">appointed</strongs>for your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>; so <strongs number="7535 518">that</strongs>they will take <strongs number="8104">heed</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>them, according to the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="8451">law</strongs>and the <strongs number="2706">statutes</strongs>and the <strongs number="4941">ordinances</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>So <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>made <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to <strongs number="8582">err</strongs>, <em> and </em>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="7451">worse</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="8045">destroyed</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: but they would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7181">hearken</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Wherefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>them the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the host <strongs number="6635">of</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3920">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>among the <strongs number="2336">thorns</strongs>, and <strongs number="631">bound</strongs>him with <strongs number="5178">fetters</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">carried</strongs>him to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And when he was in <strongs number="6887">affliction</strongs>, he <strongs number="2470">besought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6440 3068">LORD</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and humbled <strongs number="3665">himself</strongs><strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And <strongs number="6419">prayed</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him: and he was <strongs number="6279">entreated</strongs>of him, and <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>his <strongs number="8467">supplication</strongs>, and brought him <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>into his <strongs number="4438">kingdom</strongs>. Then <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Now <strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="3651">this</strongs>he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>a <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs><strongs number="2435">without</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, on the west <strongs number="4628">side</strongs>of <strongs number="1521">Gihon</strongs>, in the <strongs number="5158">valley</strongs>, even to the entering <strongs number="935">in</strongs>at the <strongs number="1709">fish</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>and compassed <strongs number="5437">about</strongs><strongs number="6077">Ophel</strongs>, and raised it up a very great <strongs number="1361 3966">height</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="2428">war</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1219">fenced</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And he took <strongs number="5493">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5236">strange</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5566">idol</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altars</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>in the <strongs number="2022">mount</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs><em> them </em>out <strongs number="2351">of</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And he <strongs number="1129">repaired</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="2076">sacrificed</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs><strongs number="8002">peace</strongs><strongs number="2077">offerings</strongs>and thank <strongs number="8426">offerings</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">commanded</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>to <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="61">Nevertheless</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>did <strongs number="2076">sacrifice</strongs><strongs number="5750">still</strongs>in the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>, <em> yet </em>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="7535">only</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Now the <strongs number="3499">rest</strongs>of the acts <strongs number="1697">of</strongs><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="2374">seers</strongs>that <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him in the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, they <em> are </em><em> written </em><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">book</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>His <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs>also, and <em> how </em><em> God </em>was <strongs number="6279">entreated</strongs>of him, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="2403">sin</strongs>, and his <strongs number="4604">trespass</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4725">places</strongs><strongs number="834">wherein</strongs>he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>, and set <strongs number="5975">up</strongs><strongs number="842">groves</strongs>and graven <strongs number="6456">images</strongs>, <strongs number="6440">before</strongs>he was <strongs number="3665">humbled</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, they <em> are </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="5921">among</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">sayings</strongs>of the <strongs number="2335">seers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>So <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, and they <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him in his own <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>: and <strongs number="526">Amon</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="526">Amon</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8147">two</strongs>and <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>But he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>: for <strongs number="526">Amon</strongs><strongs number="2076">sacrificed</strongs>unto <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the carved <strongs number="6456">images</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>, and <strongs number="5647">served</strongs>them; </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And humbled not <strongs number="3808 3665">himself</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, as <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>had humbled <strongs number="3665">himself</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">but</strongs><strongs number="526">Amon</strongs><strongs number="819">trespassed</strongs>more and <strongs number="7235">more</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="7194">conspired</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>him, and <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs>him in his own <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>But the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="5221">slew</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>them that had <strongs number="7194">conspired</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="526">Amon</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>made Josiah his son <strongs number="4427 *853 2977 1121">king</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
