      <verse number='1'>Then <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">who</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8337 6240">sixteen</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>, and made him <strongs number="4427 *853">king</strongs>in the room <strongs number="8478">of</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="558">Amaziah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1931">He</strongs><strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="359">Eloth</strongs>, and <strongs number="7725">restored</strongs>it to <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, after <strongs number="310">that</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="8337 6240">Sixteen</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="2572">fifty</strongs>and <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. His <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>also <em> was </em><strongs number="3203">Jecoliah</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="558">Amaziah</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And he <strongs number="1961 1875">sought</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="2148">Zechariah</strongs>, who had <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs>in the <strongs number="7200">visions</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: and as long <strongs number="3117">as</strongs>he <strongs number="1875">sought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="430">God</strongs>made him to <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And he went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>and <strongs number="3898">warred</strongs>against the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, and broke <strongs number="6555">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="2996">Jabneh</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="795">Ashdod</strongs>, and <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>about <strongs number="795">Ashdod</strongs>, and among the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5826">helped</strongs>him <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="6163">Arabians</strongs>that <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in <strongs number="1485">Gur</strongs>-baal, and the <strongs number="4586">Mehunims</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And the <strongs number="5984">Ammonites</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="4503">gifts</strongs>to <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>: and his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>spread <strongs number="1980">abroad</strongs><em> even </em><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the entering <strongs number="935">in</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he <strongs number="2388">strengthened</strongs><em> himself </em><strongs number="5704 4605">exceedingly</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Moreover <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs><strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="4026">towers</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="6438">corner</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="1516">valley</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="4740">turning</strongs><em> of </em><em> the </em><em> wall </em>, and <strongs number="2388">fortified</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>Also he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="4026">towers</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">desert</strongs>, and <strongs number="2672">digged</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="953">wells</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he <strongs number="1961">had</strongs><strongs number="7227">much</strongs><strongs number="4735">cattle</strongs>, both in the low <strongs number="8219">country</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="4334">plains</strongs>: <strongs number="406">husbandmen</strongs><em> also </em>, and <strongs number="3755">vinedressers</strongs>in the <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3760">Carmel</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he <strongs number="1961 157">loved</strongs><strongs number="127">husbandry</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Moreover <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>a <strongs number="2428">host</strongs>of fighting <strongs number="6213 4421">men</strongs>, that went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>to <strongs number="6635">war</strongs>by <strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="4557">number</strongs>of their <strongs number="6486">account</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="3273">Jeiel</strongs>the <strongs number="5608">scribe</strongs>and <strongs number="4641">Maaseiah</strongs>the <strongs number="7860">ruler</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="2608">Hananiah</strongs>, <em> one </em>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="4480 8269">captains</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>The <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="4557">number</strongs>of the <strongs number="7218">chief</strongs>of the <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>of the mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>of <strongs number="2428">valor</strongs><em> were </em>two <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>and <strongs number="8337">six</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs><strongs number="3559">prepared</strongs>for them throughout <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs><strongs number="4043">shields</strongs>, and <strongs number="7420">spears</strongs>, and <strongs number="3553">helmets</strongs>, and <strongs number="8302">habergeons</strongs>, and <strongs number="7198">bows</strongs>, and <strongs number="7050">slings</strongs><em> to </em><em> cast </em><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And he <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="2810">engines</strongs>, <strongs number="4284">invented</strongs>by cunning <strongs number="2803">men</strongs>, to <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="4026">towers</strongs>and <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6438">bulwarks</strongs>, to <strongs number="3384">shoot</strongs><strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs>and <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>withal.       <verse number='16'>But when he was <strongs number="2394">strong</strongs>, his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>was lifted <strongs number="1361">up</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="7843">destruction</strongs>: for he <strongs number="4603">transgressed</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>his <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">went</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>of <strongs number="7004">incense</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>went <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>him, and <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him <strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs><strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> were </em>valiant <strongs number="1121 2428">men</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And they <strongs number="5975 5921">withstood</strongs><strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <em> It </em><em> appertaineth </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>unto thee, <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>, to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>to the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="175">Aaron</strongs>, that are <strongs number="6942">consecrated</strongs>to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>: go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="4720">sanctuary</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="4603">trespassed</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><em> shall </em><em> it </em><em> be </em>for thine <strongs number="3519">honor</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Then <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>was <strongs number="2196">wroth</strongs>, and <em> had </em>a <strongs number="4730">censer</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>to burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>: and while he was <strongs number="2196">wroth</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, the <strongs number="6883">leprosy</strongs>even rose <strongs number="2224">up</strongs>in his <strongs number="4696">forehead</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 5921">beside</strongs>the <strongs number="7004">incense</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="7218">chief</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, <strongs number="6437">looked</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>him, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6879">leprous</strongs>in his <strongs number="4696">forehead</strongs>, and they thrust him <strongs number="926">out</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>; yea, <strongs number="1931">himself</strongs><strongs number="1765">hasted</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>to go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="5060">smitten</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="6879">leper</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of his <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in a <strongs number="2669">several</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <em> being </em>a <strongs number="6879">leper</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he was cut <strongs number="1504">off</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and <strongs number="3147">Jotham</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="8199">judging</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>Now the <strongs number="3499">rest</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697">acts</strongs>of <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs>, <strongs number="7223">first</strongs>and <strongs number="314">last</strongs>, did <strongs number="3470">Isaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="531">Amoz</strongs>, <strongs number="3789">write</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>So <strongs number="5818">Uzziah</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, and they <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>of the <strongs number="6900">burial</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> belonged </em>to the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">He</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6879">leper</strongs>: and <strongs number="3147">Jotham</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
