      <verse number='1'>In the <strongs number="8337">six</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirtieth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of the <strongs number="4438">reign</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="1201">Baasha</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="7414">Ramah</strongs>, to the intent that he might <strongs number="5414">let</strongs><strongs number="1115">none</strongs>go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>or come <strongs number="935">in</strongs>to <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>brought <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>and <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 214">treasures</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>and of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1130">Ben</strongs>-hadad <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>, that <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>at <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'><em> There </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="1285">league</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>me and thee, as <em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="996">between</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I have <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>thee <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>and <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>; <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, <strongs number="6565">break</strongs>thy <strongs number="1285">league</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="1201">Baasha</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, that he may <strongs number="5927">depart</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="1130">Ben</strongs>-hadad <strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="834">his</strongs><strongs number="2428">armies</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; and they <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="5859">Ijon</strongs>, and <strongs number="1835">Dan</strongs>, and <strongs number="66">Abel</strongs>-maim, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4543">store</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="5321">Naphtali</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when <strongs number="1201">Baasha</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> it </em>, that he left <strongs number="2308">off</strongs><strongs number="4480 1129">building</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of <strongs number="7414">Ramah</strongs>, and let <strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="4399">work</strongs><strongs number="7673">cease</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>; and they carried <strongs number="5375">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="68">stones</strongs>of <strongs number="7414">Ramah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>thereof, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs><strongs number="1201">Baasha</strongs>was <strongs number="1129">building</strongs>; and he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>therewith <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1387">Geba</strongs>and <strongs number="4709">Mizpah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And at <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs><strongs number="2607">Hanani</strongs>the <strongs number="7203">seer</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, Because thou hast <strongs number="8172">relied</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8172">relied</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>is the <strongs number="2428">host</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs><strongs number="4422">escaped</strongs>out of thine <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1961">Were</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="3569">Ethiopians</strongs>and the <strongs number="3864">Lubims</strongs>a <strongs number="7230">huge</strongs><strongs number="2428">host</strongs>, with <strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="7235">many</strongs><strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>and <strongs number="6571">horsemen</strongs>? yet, because thou didst <strongs number="8172">rely</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, he <strongs number="5414">delivered</strongs>them into thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>run to and <strongs number="7751">fro</strongs>throughout the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, to show himself <strongs number="2388">strong</strongs>in the behalf <strongs number="5973">of</strongs><em> them </em>whose <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="8003">perfect</strongs><strongs number="413">toward</strongs>him. <strongs number="5921 2063">Herein</strongs>thou hast done <strongs number="5528">foolishly</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">therefore</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6258">henceforth</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="3426">have</strongs><strongs number="4421">wars</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>Then <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>was <strongs number="3707">wroth</strongs><strongs number="413">with</strongs>the <strongs number="7203">seer</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">put</strongs>him in a <strongs number="4115">prison</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><em> he </em><em> was </em>in a <strongs number="2197">rage</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him because <strongs number="5921">of</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><em> thing </em>. And <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="7533">oppressed</strongs><em> some </em><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="1697">acts</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>, <strongs number="7223">first</strongs>and <strongs number="314">last</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, they <em> are </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="5612">book</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs>in the <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs>and <strongs number="8672">ninth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of his <strongs number="4438">reign</strongs>was <strongs number="2456">diseased</strongs>in his <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>his <strongs number="2483">disease</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="4605">exceeding</strongs><em> great </em>: <strongs number="1571">yet</strongs>in his <strongs number="2483">disease</strongs>he <strongs number="1875">sought</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>to the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>to the <strongs number="7495">physicians</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, and <strongs number="4191">died</strongs>in the <strongs number="259">one</strongs>and <strongs number="705">fortieth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of his <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And they <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him in his own <strongs number="6913">sepulchers</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he had <strongs number="3738">made</strongs>for himself in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="7901">laid</strongs>him in the <strongs number="4904">bed</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>was <strongs number="4390">filled</strongs>with sweet <strongs number="1314">odors</strongs>and divers <strongs number="2177">kinds</strongs><em> of </em><em> spices </em>prepared by the apothecaries' <strongs number="7543 4842 4639">art</strongs>: and they <strongs number="8313">made</strongs>a <strongs number="5704 3966">very</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="8316">burning</strongs>for him. </verse>
