      <verse number='1'>In his <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>: then he <strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>and <strongs number="4775">rebelled</strongs>against him. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>against him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldees</strongs>, and <strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>of the <strongs number="758">Syrians</strongs>, and <strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>of the <strongs number="4124">Moabites</strongs>, and <strongs number="1416">bands</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="5983">Ammon</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>them against <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>to <strongs number="6">destroy</strongs>it, according to the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="3027">by</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="389">Surely</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="6310">commandment</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><em> this </em>upon <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, to <strongs number="5493">remove</strongs><em> them </em>out <strongs number="4480 5921">of</strongs>his <strongs number="6440">sight</strongs>, for the <strongs number="2403">sins</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="1571">also</strongs>for the <strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="8210">shed</strongs>: for he <strongs number="4390">filled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>with <strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>; which the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="14">would</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5545">pardon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>Now the <strongs number="3499">rest</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697">acts</strongs>of <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs>, <em> are </em><strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="5612">book</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697 3117">chronicles</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='6'>So <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>: and <strongs number="3078">Jehoiachin</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs><strongs number="3318">came</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3254">again</strongs>any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>had <strongs number="3947">taken</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 5104">river</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4480 5158">river</strongs><strongs number="6578">Euphrates</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1961">pertained</strongs>to the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="3078">Jehoiachin</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8083 6240">eighteen</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="2320">months</strongs>. And his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5179">Nehushta</strongs>, the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="494">Elnathan</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>At <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>of <strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>against <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>was <strongs number="935 4692">besieged</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>did <strongs number="6696 5921">besiege</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="3078">Jehoiachin</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>, and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5631">officers</strongs>: and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs>him in the <strongs number="8083">eighth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of his <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And he carried <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and the <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and cut in <strongs number="7112">pieces</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3627">vessels</strongs>of <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>in the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And he carried <strongs number="1540">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>of <strongs number="2428">valor</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="1540">captives</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2796">craftsmen</strongs>and <strongs number="4525">smiths</strongs>: <strongs number="3808">none</strongs><strongs number="7604">remained</strongs>, <strongs number="2108">save</strongs>the poorest <strongs number="1803">sort</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And he carried <strongs number="1540">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3078">Jehoiachin</strongs>to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5631">officers</strongs>, and the <strongs number="352">mighty</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <em> those </em><strongs number="1980">carried</strongs>he into <strongs number="1473">captivity</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="2428">might</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>, and <strongs number="2796">craftsmen</strongs>and <strongs number="4525">smiths</strongs>a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> that </em><em> were </em><strongs number="1368">strong</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="6213">apt</strongs>for <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, even them the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="1473">captive</strongs>to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="4427">made</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4983">Mattaniah</strongs>his father's <strongs number="1730">brother</strongs><strongs number="4427">king</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>, and <strongs number="5437">changed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>to <strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs>and <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="259 6240">eleven</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. And his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="2537">Hamutal</strongs>, the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 3841">Libnah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="5921">through</strongs>the <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>and <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>he had cast them <strongs number="7993 *853">out</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>his <strongs number="6440">presence</strongs>, that <strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4775">rebelled</strongs>against the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
