      <verse number='12'>And he <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>and <strongs number="935">departed</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">came</strongs>to <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>. <em> And </em>as <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em>at the shearing <strongs number="1044">house</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="4672">met</strongs>with <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>of <strongs number="274">Ahaziah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4310">Who</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>? And they <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="587">We</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>of <strongs number="274">Ahaziah</strongs>; and we go <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="7965">salute</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of the <strongs number="1377">queen</strongs>. </verse>

And they <strongs number="8610">took</strongs>them <strongs number="2416">alive</strongs>, and <strongs number="7819">slew</strongs>them <strongs number="413">at</strongs>the <strongs number="953">pit</strongs>of the shearing <strongs number="1044">house</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="8147">two</strongs>and <strongs number="705">forty</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="7604">left</strongs>he <strongs number="376">any</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And when he was <strongs number="1980">departed</strongs><strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>, he lighted <strongs number="4672">on</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3082">Jehonadab</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7394">Rechab</strongs><em> coming </em>to <strongs number="7122">meet</strongs>him: and he <strongs number="1288">saluted</strongs>him, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him, <strongs number="3426">Is</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thine <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>my <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thy <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>? And <strongs number="3082">Jehonadab</strongs><strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, It <strongs number="3426">is</strongs>. And he <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><em> him </em>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; and he took him <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him <strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="4818">chariot</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">Come</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me, and <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>my <strongs number="7068">zeal</strongs>for the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. So they made him <strongs number="7392">ride</strongs>in his <strongs number="7393">chariot</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And when he <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>, he <strongs number="5221">slew</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>that <strongs number="7604">remained</strongs>unto <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>in <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">till</strongs>he had <strongs number="8045">destroyed</strongs>him, according to the <strongs number="1697">saying</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="6908">gathered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>together, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs><strongs number="5647">served</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>a <strongs number="4592">little</strongs>; <em> but </em><strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs>shall <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>him <strongs number="7235">much</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="7121">call</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="5647">servants</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>; let <strongs number="376 408">none</strongs>be <strongs number="6485">wanting</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I have a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs><em> to </em><em> do </em>to <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>; <strongs number="3605 834">whosoever</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6485">wanting</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2421">live</strongs>. But <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> it </em>in <strongs number="6122">subtlety</strongs>, to the <strongs number="4616">intent</strongs>that he might <strongs number="6">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5647">worshipers</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="6942">Proclaim</strongs>a solemn <strongs number="6116">assembly</strongs>for <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>. And they <strongs number="7121">proclaimed</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>through <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5647">worshipers</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>, so that there was <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="7604">left</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. And they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>was <strongs number="4390">full</strongs>from one <strongs number="6310">end</strongs>to <strongs number="6310">another</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4458">vestry</strongs>, Bring <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="3830">vestments</strongs>for <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5647">worshipers</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>. And he brought them <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="4403">vestments</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="935">went</strongs>, and <strongs number="3082">Jehonadab</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7394">Rechab</strongs>, into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto the <strongs number="5647">worshipers</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, <strongs number="2664">Search</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">look</strongs><strongs number="6435">that</strongs>there <strongs number="3426">be</strongs><strongs number="6311">here</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>you none of the <strongs number="4480 5650">servants</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>the <strongs number="5647">worshipers</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs><strongs number="905">only</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And when they went <strongs number="935">in</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">offer</strongs><strongs number="2077">sacrifices</strongs>and burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>, <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="7760">appointed</strongs><strongs number="8084">fourscore</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="2351">without</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <em> If </em><strongs number="376">any</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs>have <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="5921">into</strongs>your <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs><strongs number="4422">escape</strongs>, <em> he </em><em> that </em><em> letteth </em><em> him </em><em> go </em>, his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="8478">for</strongs>the <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>of him. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as soon as he had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="6213">offering</strongs>the burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>, that <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>to the <strongs number="7323">guard</strongs>and to the <strongs number="7991">captains</strongs>, Go <strongs number="935">in</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5221">slay</strongs>them; let <strongs number="376 408">none</strongs>come <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>. And they <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them with the <strongs number="6310">edge</strongs>of the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>; and the <strongs number="7323">guard</strongs>and the <strongs number="7991">captains</strongs>cast <em> them </em><strongs number="7993">out</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And they brought <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4676">images</strongs>out of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and <strongs number="8313">burned</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And they broke <strongs number="5422">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4676">image</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and broke <strongs number="5422">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">made</strongs>it a draught <strongs number="4163">house</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>Thus <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="8045">destroyed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'><strongs number="7535">Howbeit</strongs><em> from </em>the <strongs number="2399">sins</strongs>of <strongs number="3379">Jeroboam</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5028">Nebat</strongs>, <strongs number="834">who</strongs>made <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>to <strongs number="2398">sin</strongs>, <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="5493">departed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">after</strongs>them, <em> to </em><em> wit </em>, the <strongs number="2091">golden</strongs><strongs number="5695">calves</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em>in <strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em>in <strongs number="1835">Dan</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs>, <strongs number="3282 834">Because</strongs>thou hast done <strongs number="2895">well</strongs>in <strongs number="6213">executing</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, <em> and </em>hast <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em>in mine <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>, thy <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of the <strongs number="7243">fourth</strongs><em> generation </em>shall <strongs number="3427">sit</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'>But <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs>took no <strongs number="8104 3808">heed</strongs>to <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>in the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>: for he <strongs number="5493">departed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>the <strongs number="2403">sins</strongs>of <strongs number="3379">Jeroboam</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>made <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>to <strongs number="2398">sin</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>In <strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="2490">began</strongs>to cut Israel <strongs number="7096 3478">short</strongs>: and <strongs number="2371">Hazael</strongs><strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">coasts</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; </verse>

      <verse number='35'>And <strongs number="3058">Jehu</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>: and they <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him in <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>. And <strongs number="3059">Jehoahaz</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
