      <verse number='2'>That the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>the second <strongs number="8145">time</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he had <strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him at <strongs number="1391">Gibeon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, I have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs>and thy <strongs number="8467">supplication</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="2063">made</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me: I have <strongs number="6942">hallowed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>, to <strongs number="7760">put</strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>; and mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>and mine <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="3605 3117">perpetually</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='8'>And at <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <em> which </em><strongs number="1961">is</strongs><strongs number="5945">high</strongs>, every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that <strongs number="5674">passeth</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>it shall be <strongs number="8074">astonished</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="8319">hiss</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Why</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="3602">thus</strongs>unto <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and to <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>? </verse>

      <verse number='10'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 7097">end</strongs>of <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, <strongs number="834">when</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>had <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='11'>( <em> Now </em><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="6865">Tyre</strongs>had <strongs number="5375">furnished</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>with <strongs number="730">cedar</strongs><strongs number="6086">trees</strongs>and <strongs number="1265">fir</strongs><strongs number="6086">trees</strongs>, and with <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="2656">desire</strongs>,) that <strongs number="227">then</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="1551">Galilee</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs>came <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6865">Tyre</strongs>to <strongs number="7200">see</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>had <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>him; and they <strongs number="3474 5869">pleased</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>to the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="3967 6242">sixscore</strongs><strongs number="3603">talents</strongs>of <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="1697">reason</strongs>of the <strongs number="4522">levy</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5927">raised</strongs>; for to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and his own <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="4407">Millo</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="2674">Hazor</strongs>, and <strongs number="4023">Megiddo</strongs>, and <strongs number="1507">Gezer</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><em> For </em><strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>had gone <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1507">Gezer</strongs>, and <strongs number="8313">burnt</strongs>it with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and <strongs number="2026">slain</strongs>the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs>that <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>it <em> for </em>a <strongs number="7964">present</strongs>unto his <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>, <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1507">Gezer</strongs>, and <strongs number="1032">Beth</strongs>-horon the <strongs number="8481">nether</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="1191">Baalath</strongs>, and <strongs number="8412">Tadmor</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="4543">store</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>, and <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>for his <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>, and <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>for his <strongs number="6571">horsemen</strongs>, and that <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="2836">desired</strongs>to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of his <strongs number="4475">dominion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><em> And </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><em> that </em><em> were </em><strongs number="3498">left</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="567">Amorites</strongs>, <strongs number="2850">Hittites</strongs>, <strongs number="6522">Perizzites</strongs>, <strongs number="2340">Hivites</strongs>, and <strongs number="2983">Jebusites</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='21'>Their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>were <strongs number="3498">left</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>them in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>also were <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3201">able</strongs>utterly to <strongs number="2763">destroy</strongs>, upon those did <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5927">levy</strongs>a tribute of <strongs number="4522 5647">bondservice</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>But of the <strongs number="4480 1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>did <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5414">make</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5650">bondmen</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">but</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and his <strongs number="7991">captains</strongs>, and <strongs number="8269">rulers</strongs>of his <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>, and his <strongs number="6571">horsemen</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="428">These</strongs><em> were </em>the <strongs number="8269">chief</strongs>of the <strongs number="5324">officers</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>'s <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>, <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>and <strongs number="2572">fifty</strongs>, which bare <strongs number="7287">rule</strongs>over the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>that <strongs number="6213">wrought</strongs>in the <strongs number="4399">work</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="389">But</strongs><strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>'s <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her <strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> Solomon </em>had <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>for her: <strongs number="227">then</strongs>did he <strongs number="1129">build</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4407">Millo</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="6471">times</strongs>in a <strongs number="8141">year</strongs>did <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5927">offer</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>and peace <strongs number="8002">offerings</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and he burnt <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs><strongs number="854">upon</strongs>the altar <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>.       <verse number='26'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs>a navy of <strongs number="590">ships</strongs>in <strongs number="6100">Ezion</strongs>-geber, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="854">beside</strongs><strongs number="359">Eloth</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="8193">shore</strongs>of the <strongs number="5488">Red</strongs><strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="123">Edom</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>in the <strongs number="590">navy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, <strongs number="376 591">shipmen</strongs>that had <strongs number="3045">knowledge</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>And they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="211">Ophir</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">fetched</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs><strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>, <strongs number="702">four</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>and <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="3603">talents</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. </verse>
