      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7892">song</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs><em> that </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>him out of the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and out of the <strongs number="4480 3709">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>, and my <strongs number="4686">fortress</strongs>, and my <strongs number="6403">deliverer</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='3'>The <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of my <strongs number="6697">rock</strongs>; in him will I <strongs number="2620">trust</strongs>: <em> he </em><em> is </em>my <strongs number="4043">shield</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7161">horn</strongs>of my <strongs number="3468">salvation</strongs>, my high <strongs number="4869">tower</strongs>, and my <strongs number="4498">refuge</strongs>, my <strongs number="3467">savior</strongs>; thou <strongs number="3467">savest</strongs>me from <strongs number="4480 2555">violence</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>I will call <strongs number="7121">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> who </em><em> is </em>worthy to be <strongs number="1984">praised</strongs>: so shall I be <strongs number="3467">saved</strongs>from mine <strongs number="4480 341">enemies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3588">When</strongs>the <strongs number="4867">waves</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs><strongs number="661">compassed</strongs>me, the <strongs number="5158">floods</strongs>of <strongs number="1100">ungodly</strongs>men made me <strongs number="1204">afraid</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'>The <strongs number="2256">sorrows</strongs>of <strongs number="7585">hell</strongs>compassed me <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>; the <strongs number="4170">snares</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs><strongs number="6923">prevented</strongs>me; </verse>
      <verse number='7'>In my <strongs number="6862">distress</strongs>I called <strongs number="7121">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: and he did <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 1964">temple</strongs>, and my <strongs number="7775">cry</strongs><em> did </em><em> enter </em>into his <strongs number="241">ears</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Then the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs><strongs number="1607">shook</strongs>and <strongs number="7493">trembled</strongs>; the <strongs number="4146">foundations</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs><strongs number="7264">moved</strongs>and <strongs number="1607">shook</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he was <strongs number="2734">wroth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>There went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>a <strongs number="6227">smoke</strongs>out of his <strongs number="639">nostrils</strongs>, and <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs><strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>: <strongs number="1513">coals</strongs>were <strongs number="1197">kindled</strongs><strongs number="4480">by</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>He <strongs number="5186">bowed</strongs>the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>also, and came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>; and <strongs number="6205">darkness</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>his <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And he <strongs number="7392">rode</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>a <strongs number="3742">cherub</strongs>, and did <strongs number="5774">fly</strongs>: and he was <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3671">wings</strongs>of the <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And he <strongs number="7896">made</strongs><strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs><strongs number="5521">pavilions</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>him, <strongs number="2841">dark</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, <em> and </em>thick <strongs number="5645">clouds</strongs>of the <strongs number="7834">skies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Through the <strongs number="4480 5051">brightness</strongs><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>him were <strongs number="1513">coals</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs><strongs number="1197">kindled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7481">thundered</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and the most <strongs number="5945">High</strongs><strongs number="5414">uttered</strongs>his <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And he sent <strongs number="7971">out</strongs><strongs number="2671">arrows</strongs>, and <strongs number="6327">scattered</strongs>them; <strongs number="1300">lightning</strongs>, and <strongs number="2000">discomfited</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And the <strongs number="650">channels</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs>, the <strongs number="4146">foundations</strongs>of the <strongs number="8398">world</strongs>were <strongs number="1540">discovered</strongs>, at the <strongs number="1606">rebuking</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, at the <strongs number="4480 5397">blast</strongs>of the <strongs number="7307">breath</strongs>of his <strongs number="639">nostrils</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>He <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 4791">above</strongs>, he <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>me; he <strongs number="4871">drew</strongs>me out of many <strongs number="4480 4325 7227">waters</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='18'>He <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>me from my strong <strongs number="4480 341 5794">enemy</strongs>, <em> and </em>from them that <strongs number="4480 8130">hated</strongs>me: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they were too <strongs number="553">strong</strongs><strongs number="4480">for</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>They <strongs number="6923">prevented</strongs>me in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of my <strongs number="343">calamity</strongs>: but the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>my <strongs number="4937">stay</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>He brought me <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>also into a large <strongs number="4800 *853">place</strongs>: he <strongs number="2502">delivered</strongs>me, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he <strongs number="2654">delighted</strongs>in me. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1580">rewarded</strongs>me according to my <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>: according to the <strongs number="1252">cleanness</strongs>of my <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>hath he <strongs number="7725">recompensed</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I have <strongs number="8104">kept</strongs>the <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7561">wickedly</strongs>departed from my <strongs number="4480 430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="4941">judgments</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>me: and <em> as </em><em> for </em>his <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs>, I did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5493">depart</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>I <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>also <strongs number="8549">upright</strongs>before him and have kept <strongs number="8104">myself</strongs>from mine <strongs number="4480 5771">iniquity</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>Therefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7725">recompensed</strongs>me according to my <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>; according to my <strongs number="1252">cleanness</strongs><strongs number="5048">in</strongs>his eye <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="5973">With</strongs>the <strongs number="2623">merciful</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="2616">merciful</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="8549">upright</strongs><strongs number="1368">man</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="8552">upright</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'><strongs number="5973">With</strongs>the <strongs number="2889">pure</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="1305">pure</strongs>; and <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="6141">froward</strongs>thou wilt show thyself <strongs number="6617">unsavory</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>And the <strongs number="6041">afflicted</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>thou wilt <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>: but thine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="7311">haughty</strongs>, <em> that </em>thou mayest bring <em> them </em><strongs number="8213">down</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em>my <strongs number="5216">lamp</strongs>, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="5050">lighten</strongs>my <strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>by thee I have <strongs number="7323">run</strongs>through a <strongs number="1416">troop</strongs>: by my <strongs number="430">God</strongs>have I <strongs number="1801">leaped</strongs>over a <strongs number="7791">wall</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'><em> As </em><em> for </em><strongs number="410">God</strongs>, his <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="8549">perfect</strongs>; the <strongs number="565">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="6884">tried</strongs>: <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="4043">buckler</strongs>to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>them that <strongs number="2620">trust</strongs>in him. </verse>
      <verse number='32'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="410">God</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 1107">save</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>? and <strongs number="4310">who</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6697">rock</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 1107">save</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='33'><strongs number="410">God</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="4581">strength</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="2428">power</strongs>: and he <strongs number="5425">maketh</strongs>my <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="8549">perfect</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>He <strongs number="7737">maketh</strongs>my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>like <strongs number="355">hinds</strongs>' <em> feet </em>: and <strongs number="5975">setteth</strongs>me <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>my high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='35'>He <strongs number="3925">teacheth</strongs>my <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>; so that a <strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>of <strongs number="5154">steel</strongs>is <strongs number="5181">broken</strongs>by mine <strongs number="2220">arms</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'>Thou hast also <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>me the <strongs number="4043">shield</strongs>of thy <strongs number="3468">salvation</strongs>: and thy <strongs number="6038">gentleness</strongs>hath made me <strongs number="7235">great</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>Thou hast <strongs number="7337">enlarged</strongs>my <strongs number="6806">steps</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>me; so that my <strongs number="7166">feet</strongs>did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4571">slip</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>I have <strongs number="7291">pursued</strongs>mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and <strongs number="8045">destroyed</strongs>them; and turned not <strongs number="3808 7725">again</strongs><strongs number="5704">until</strongs>I had <strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And I have <strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>them, and <strongs number="4272">wounded</strongs>them, that they could <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6965">arise</strongs>: yea, they are <strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>For thou hast <strongs number="247">girded</strongs>me with <strongs number="2428">strength</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>: them that rose <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>against me hast thou <strongs number="3766">subdued</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='41'>Thou hast also <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>me the <strongs number="6203">necks</strongs>of mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, that I might <strongs number="6789">destroy</strongs>them that <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='42'>They <strongs number="8159">looked</strongs>, but <em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>to <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>; <em> even </em><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, but he <strongs number="6030">answered</strongs>them <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='43'>Then did I <strongs number="7833">beat</strongs>them as small as the <strongs number="6083">dust</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, I did <strongs number="1854">stamp</strongs>them as the <strongs number="2916">mire</strongs>of the <strongs number="2351">street</strongs>, <em> and </em>did spread them <strongs number="7554">abroad</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'>Thou also hast <strongs number="6403">delivered</strongs>me from the <strongs number="4480 7379">strivings</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, thou hast <strongs number="8104">kept</strongs>me <em> to </em><em> be </em><strongs number="7218">head</strongs>of the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>: a <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><em> which </em>I <strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>shall <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='45'><strongs number="1121 5236">Strangers</strongs>shall submit <strongs number="3584">themselves</strongs>unto me: as soon as they <strongs number="8085 241">hear</strongs>, they shall be <strongs number="8085">obedient</strongs>unto me. </verse>
      <verse number='46'><strongs number="1121 5236">Strangers</strongs>shall fade <strongs number="5034">away</strongs>, and they shall be <strongs number="2296">afraid</strongs>out of their close <strongs number="4480 4526">places</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='48'>It <em> is </em><strongs number="410">God</strongs>that <strongs number="5414 5360">avengeth</strongs>me, and that bringeth <strongs number="8213">down</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>me, </verse>
      <verse number='49'>And that bringeth me <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>from mine <strongs number="4480 341">enemies</strongs>: thou also hast lifted me up on <strongs number="7311">high</strongs>above them that rose <strongs number="4480 6965">up</strongs>against me: thou hast <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs>me from the violent <strongs number="4480 376 2555">man</strongs>. </verse>
