      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs><strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>of <strongs number="2128">Ziph</strongs>, having <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="977">chosen</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>of <strongs number="2128">Ziph</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='8'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="52">Abishai</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath <strongs number="5462">delivered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thine <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>into thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>: <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>therefore let me <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, with the <strongs number="2595">spear</strongs>even to the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>at <strongs number="259 6471">once</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> smite </em>him the second <strongs number="8138">time</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'><strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="3588 518">furthermore</strongs>, <em> As </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="2416">liveth</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="5062">smite</strongs>him; <strongs number="176">or</strongs>his <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>to <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>; <strongs number="176">or</strongs>he shall <strongs number="3381">descend</strongs>into <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>, and <strongs number="5595">perish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>The <strongs number="4480 3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="2486">forbid</strongs>that I should stretch <strongs number="4480 7971">forth</strongs>mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="4899">anointed</strongs>: but, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>thou <strongs number="6258">now</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2595">spear</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em>at his <strongs number="4763">bolster</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6835">cruse</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>So <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2595">spear</strongs>and the <strongs number="6835">cruse</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>from <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>'s <strongs number="4763">bolster</strongs>; and they got them <strongs number="1980">away</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">no</strongs>man <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><em> it </em>, <strongs number="369">nor</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><em> it </em>, <strongs number="369">neither</strongs><strongs number="6974">awaked</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <em> were </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3463">asleep</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>a deep <strongs number="8639">sleep</strongs>from the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>was <strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them. </verse>
