      <verse number='1'>There <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>also a <strongs number="1486">lot</strongs>for the <strongs number="4294">tribe</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em>the <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>; <em> to </em><em> wit </em>, for <strongs number="4353">Machir</strongs>the <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, the <strongs number="1">father</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">because</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>, therefore he <strongs number="1961">had</strongs><strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>and <strongs number="1316">Bashan</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>There <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>also <em> a </em><em> lot </em>for the <strongs number="3498">rest</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>by their <strongs number="4940">families</strongs>; for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="44">Abiezer</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="2507">Helek</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="844">Asriel</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="7928">Shechem</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="2660">Hepher</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="8061">Shemida</strongs>: <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> were </em>the <strongs number="2145">male</strongs><strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>by their <strongs number="4940">families</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>But <strongs number="6765">Zelophehad</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2660">Hepher</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4353">Machir</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, <strongs number="1961">had</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs><strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>: and <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="8034">names</strongs>of his <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>, <strongs number="4244">Mahlah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5270">Noah</strongs>, <strongs number="2295">Hoglah</strongs>, <strongs number="4435">Milcah</strongs>, and <strongs number="8656">Tirzah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And they came <strongs number="7126">near</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and <strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5126">Nun</strongs>, and <strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="5387">princes</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>to <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>us an <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>our <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>. Therefore <strongs number="413">according</strongs>to the <strongs number="6310">commandment</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>he <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>them an <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>the <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>of their <strongs number="1">father</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And there <strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="6235">ten</strongs><strongs number="2256">portions</strongs>to <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, <strongs number="905">beside</strongs>the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>and <strongs number="1316">Bashan</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em>on the other <strongs number="5676">side</strongs><strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>had an <strongs number="5157 5159">inheritance</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>: and the <strongs number="3498">rest</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="1366">coast</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 836">Asher</strongs>to <strongs number="4366">Michmethah</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> lieth </em><strongs number="5921 6440">before</strongs><strongs number="7927">Shechem</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>went <strongs number="1980">along</strongs><strongs number="413">on</strongs>the right <strongs number="3225">hand</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="5887">En</strongs>-tappuah. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><em> Now </em><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="8599">Tappuah</strongs>: but <strongs number="8599">Tappuah</strongs><strongs number="413">on</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><em> belonged </em>to the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And the <strongs number="1366">coast</strongs><strongs number="3381">descended</strongs>unto the <strongs number="5158">river</strongs><strongs number="7071">Kanah</strongs>, <strongs number="5045">southward</strongs>of the <strongs number="5158">river</strongs>: <strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>: the <strongs number="1366">coast</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>also <em> was </em>on the north <strongs number="4480 6828">side</strongs>of the <strongs number="5158">river</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8444">outgoings</strongs>of it <strongs number="1961">were</strongs>at the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="5045">Southward</strongs><em> it </em><em> was </em><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>'s, and <strongs number="6828">northward</strongs><em> it </em><em> was </em><strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>'s, and the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs><strongs number="1961">is</strongs>his <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>; and they met <strongs number="6293">together</strongs>in <strongs number="836">Asher</strongs>on the <strongs number="4480 6828">north</strongs>, and in <strongs number="3485">Issachar</strongs>on the <strongs number="4480 4217">east</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="1961">had</strongs>in <strongs number="3485">Issachar</strongs>and in <strongs number="836">Asher</strongs><strongs number="1052">Beth</strongs>-shean and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and <strongs number="2991">Ibleam</strongs>and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="1756">Dor</strongs>and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="5874">Endor</strongs>and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="8590">Taanach</strongs>and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="4023">Megiddo</strongs>and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="5316">countries</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Yet the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs><strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>drive <strongs number="3423">out</strongs><em> the </em><em> inhabitants </em><em> of </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="428">those</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>; but the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs><strongs number="2974">would</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in <strongs number="2088">that</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Yet it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>were waxen <strongs number="2388">strong</strongs>, that they <strongs number="5414">put</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs>to <strongs number="4522">tribute</strongs>; but did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>utterly drive them <strongs number="3423 3423">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="854">unto</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="4069">Why</strongs>hast thou <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>me <em> but </em><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="1486">lot</strongs>and <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="2256">portion</strongs>to <strongs number="5159">inherit</strongs>, seeing <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>a <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">forasmuch</strongs>as the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs>me <strongs number="834 5704 3541">hitherto</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs><strongs number="559 413">answered</strongs>them, <strongs number="518">If</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> be </em>a <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <em> then </em>get thee <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to the <strongs number="3293">wood</strongs><em> country </em>, and cut <strongs number="1254">down</strongs>for thyself <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="6522">Perizzites</strongs>and of the <strongs number="7497">giants</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">if</strongs><strongs number="2022">mount</strongs><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>be too <strongs number="213">narrow</strongs>for thee. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="2022">hill</strongs>is <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4672">enough</strongs>for us: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs>that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>have <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>of <strongs number="1270">iron</strongs>, <em> both </em><em> they </em><strongs number="834">who</strongs><em> are </em>of <strongs number="1052">Beth</strongs>-shean and her <strongs number="1323">towns</strongs>, and <em> they </em><strongs number="834">who</strongs><em> are </em>of the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>of <strongs number="3157">Jezreel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="3091">Joshua</strongs><strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>, <em> even </em>to <strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>and to <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><em> art </em>a <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="3581">power</strongs>: thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="1486">lot</strongs><em> only </em>: </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">But</strongs>the <strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>thine; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="3293">wood</strongs>, and thou shalt cut it <strongs number="1254">down</strongs>: and the <strongs number="8444">outgoings</strongs>of it shall <strongs number="1931">be</strongs>thine: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>thou shalt drive <strongs number="3423">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">though</strongs>they have <strongs number="1270">iron</strongs><strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3588">though</strongs><strongs number="1931">they</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="2389">strong</strongs>. </verse>
