      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="846">yourselves</strongs>, <strongs number="80">brethren</strongs>, <strongs number="1492">know</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs>entrance <strongs number="1529">in</strongs><strongs number="4314">unto</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs>, <strongs number="3754">that</strongs>it <strongs number="1096">was</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>in <strongs number="2756">vain</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="235">But</strongs><strongs number="2532">even</strongs>after that we had suffered <strongs number="4310">before</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>were shamefully <strongs number="5195">entreated</strongs>, <strongs number="2531">as</strongs>ye <strongs number="1492">know</strongs>, <strongs number="1722">at</strongs><strongs number="5375">Philippi</strongs>, we were <strongs number="3955">bold</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>to <strongs number="2980">speak</strongs><strongs number="4314">unto</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2098">gospel</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="1722">with</strongs><strongs number="4183">much</strongs><strongs number="73">contention</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="3874">exhortation</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="4106">deceit</strongs>, <strongs number="3761">nor</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="167">uncleanness</strongs>, <strongs number="3777">nor</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="1388">guile</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="235">But</strongs><strongs number="2531">as</strongs>we were <strongs number="1381">allowed</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>to be put in <strongs number="4100">trust</strongs>with <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2098">gospel</strongs>, even <strongs number="3779">so</strongs>we <strongs number="2980">speak</strongs>; <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="5613">as</strongs><strongs number="700">pleasing</strongs><strongs number="444">men</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, which <strongs number="1381">trieth</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="2588">hearts</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='15'>Who both <strongs number="615 2532">killed</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>their <strongs number="2398">own</strongs><strongs number="4396">prophets</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>have <strongs number="1559">persecuted</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>they <strongs number="700">please</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>are <strongs number="1727">contrary</strongs>to <strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="444">men</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="2967">Forbidding</strongs><strongs number="2248">us</strongs>to <strongs number="2980">speak</strongs>to <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1484">Gentiles</strongs><strongs number="2443">that</strongs>they might be <strongs number="4982">saved</strongs>, to fill <strongs number="378">up</strongs><strongs number="848">their</strongs><strongs number="266">sins</strongs><strongs number="3842">always</strongs>: <strongs number="1161">for</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3709">wrath</strongs>is <strongs number="5348">come</strongs><strongs number="1909">upon</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5056">uttermost</strongs>. </verse>
