      <verse number='1'><strongs number="5101">What</strongs>shall we <strongs number="2046">say</strongs><strongs number="3767">then</strongs>that <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="3962">father</strongs>, as <strongs number="2596">pertaining</strongs>to the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>, hath <strongs number="2147">found</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs><strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs>were <strongs number="1344">justified</strongs><strongs number="1537">by</strongs><strongs number="2041">works</strongs>, he <strongs number="2192">hath</strongs><em> whereof </em>to <strongs number="2745">glory</strongs>; <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="4314">before</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="5101">what</strongs><strongs number="3004">saith</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1124">Scripture</strongs>? <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="4100">believed</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>it was <strongs number="3049">counted</strongs>unto <strongs number="846">him</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="1161">Now</strongs>to him that <strongs number="2038">worketh</strongs>is <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3408">reward</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="3049">reckoned</strongs><strongs number="2596">of</strongs><strongs number="5485">grace</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="2596">of</strongs><strongs number="3783">debt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>to him that <strongs number="2038">worketh</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><strongs number="4100">believeth</strongs><strongs number="1909">on</strongs>him that <strongs number="1344">justifieth</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="765">ungodly</strongs>, <strongs number="848">his</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>is <strongs number="3049">counted</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='7'><em> Saying, </em><strongs number="3107">Blessed</strongs><em> are </em>they <strongs number="3739">whose</strongs><strongs number="458">iniquities</strongs>are <strongs number="863">forgiven</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3739">whose</strongs><strongs number="266">sins</strongs>are <strongs number="1943">covered</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="3107">Blessed</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="435">man</strongs>to <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>will <strongs number="3364">not</strongs><strongs number="3049">impute</strongs><strongs number="266">sin</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'><em> Cometh </em><strongs number="3778">this</strongs><strongs number="3108">blessedness</strongs><strongs number="3767">then</strongs><strongs number="1909">upon</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4061">circumcision</strongs><em> only, </em><strongs number="2228">or</strongs><strongs number="1909">upon</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="203">uncircumcision</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>? <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>we <strongs number="3004">say</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>was <strongs number="3049">reckoned</strongs>to <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='11'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>he <strongs number="2983">received</strongs>the <strongs number="4592">sign</strongs>of <strongs number="4061">circumcision</strongs>, a <strongs number="4973">seal</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs><strongs number="3588">which</strongs><em> he </em><em> had </em><em> yet </em>being uncircumcised: <strongs number="1722 203">that</strongs><strongs number="846">he</strongs>might <strongs number="1511">be</strongs>the <strongs number="3962">father</strongs>of <strongs number="3956">all</strongs>them that <strongs number="4100">believe</strongs>, though they be not <strongs number="1223 203">circumcised</strongs>; that <strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>might be <strongs number="3049">imputed</strongs>unto <strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='13'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs>, that <strongs number="846">he</strongs>should <strongs number="1511">be</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2818">heir</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2889">world</strongs>, <em> was </em><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>to <strongs number="11">Abraham</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">or</strongs>to <strongs number="848">his</strongs><strongs number="4690">seed</strongs>, <strongs number="1223">through</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="1223">through</strongs>the <strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>of <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs><strongs number="3588">they</strongs>which are <strongs number="1537">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3551">law</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="2818">heirs</strongs>, <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>is made <strongs number="2758">void</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs>made of none <strongs number="2673">effect</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="1063">Because</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="2716">worketh</strongs><strongs number="3709">wrath</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs><strongs number="3757">where</strongs><strongs number="3756">no</strongs><strongs number="3551">law</strongs><strongs number="2076">is</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3761">no</strongs><strongs number="3847">transgression</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='17'>( <strongs number="2531">As</strongs>it is <strongs number="1125">written</strongs>, I have <strongs number="5087">made</strongs><strongs number="4571">thee</strongs>a <strongs number="3962">father</strongs>of <strongs number="4183">many</strongs><strongs number="1484">nations</strongs>,) <strongs number="2713">before</strongs>him <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>he <strongs number="4100">believed</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, who <strongs number="2227">quickeneth</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3498">dead</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2564">calleth</strongs>those things which <strongs number="5607">be</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>as <strongs number="5613">though</strongs>they <strongs number="5607">were</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='19'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>being not <strongs number="770 3361">weak</strongs>in <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, he <strongs number="2657">considered</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>his <strongs number="1438">own</strongs><strongs number="4983">body</strongs><strongs number="2235">now</strongs><strongs number="3499">dead</strongs>, when he <strongs number="5225">was</strongs><strongs number="4225">about</strongs>a hundred years <strongs number="1541">old</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">neither</strongs>yet <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3500">deadness</strongs>of <strongs number="4564">Sarah</strongs>'s <strongs number="3388">womb</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="*1161">He</strongs><strongs number="1252">staggered</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1519">at</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1860">promise</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>through <strongs number="570">unbelief</strongs>; <strongs number="235">but</strongs>was <strongs number="1743">strong</strongs>in <strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, <strongs number="1325">giving</strongs><strongs number="1391">glory</strongs>to <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>; </verse>
