      <verse number='38'><strongs number="5613">How</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="5548">anointed</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="575">of</strongs><strongs number="3478">Nazareth</strongs>with the <strongs number="40">Holy</strongs><strongs number="4151">Ghost</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs>with <strongs number="1411">power</strongs>: <strongs number="3739">who</strongs>went <strongs number="1330">about</strongs>doing <strongs number="2109">good</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2390">healing</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs>that were <strongs number="2616">oppressed</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1228">devil</strongs>; <strongs number="3754">for</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="2258">was</strongs><strongs number="3326">with</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="2249">we</strongs><strongs number="2070">are</strongs><strongs number="3144">witnesses</strongs>of all <strongs number="3956">things</strongs><strongs number="3739">which</strongs>he <strongs number="4160">did</strongs><strongs number="5037">both</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5561">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2453">Jews</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="2419">Jerusalem</strongs>; <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>they <strongs number="337">slew</strongs>and <strongs number="2910">hanged</strongs><strongs number="1909">on</strongs>a <strongs number="3586">tree</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='40'><strongs number="5126">Him</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>raised <strongs number="1453">up</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5154">third</strongs><strongs number="2250">day</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>showed him <strongs number="1325 846 1096 1717">openly</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='41'><strongs number="3756">Not</strongs>to <strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2992">people</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs>unto <strongs number="3144">witnesses</strongs>chosen <strongs number="4401">before</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <em> even </em>to <strongs number="2254">us</strongs>, <strongs number="3748">who</strongs>did <strongs number="4906">eat</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs>drink <strongs number="4844">with</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>after <strongs number="846">he</strongs><strongs number="450">rose</strongs><strongs number="1537">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3498">dead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='42'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>he <strongs number="3853">commanded</strongs><strongs number="2254">us</strongs>to <strongs number="2784">preach</strongs>unto <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2992">people</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>to <strongs number="1263">testify</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>it <strongs number="2076">is</strongs><strongs number="846">he</strongs>which was <strongs number="3724">ordained</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><em> to </em><em> be </em>the <strongs number="2923">Judge</strongs>of <strongs number="2198">quick</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3498">dead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='43'>To <strongs number="5129">him</strongs>give all the prophets <strongs number="3140 3956 3588 4396">witness</strongs>, that <strongs number="1223">through</strongs><strongs number="846">his</strongs><strongs number="3686">name</strongs><strongs number="3956">whosoever</strongs><strongs number="4100">believeth</strongs><strongs number="1519">in</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>shall <strongs number="2983">receive</strongs><strongs number="859">remission</strongs>of <strongs number="266">sins</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'>While <strongs number="4074">Peter</strongs><strongs number="2089">yet</strongs><strongs number="2980">spake</strongs><strongs number="5023">these</strongs><strongs number="4487">words</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="40">Holy</strongs><strongs number="4151">Ghost</strongs><strongs number="1968">fell</strongs><strongs number="1909">on</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs>them which <strongs number="191">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3056">word</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='45'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>they of the circumcision which <strongs number="4103 1537 4061">believed</strongs>were <strongs number="1839">astonished</strongs>, as many <strongs number="3745">as</strongs>came <strongs number="4905">with</strongs><strongs number="4074">Peter</strongs>, <strongs number="3754">because</strongs>that <strongs number="1909">on</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1484">Gentiles</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>was poured <strongs number="1632">out</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1431">gift</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="40">Holy</strongs><strongs number="4151">Ghost</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='46'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>they <strongs number="191">heard</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="2980">speak</strongs>with <strongs number="1100">tongues</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3170">magnify</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. <strongs number="5119">Then</strongs><strongs number="611">answered</strongs><strongs number="4074">Peter</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='47'><strongs number="1410">Can</strongs>any <strongs number="5100">man</strongs><strongs number="2967">forbid</strongs><strongs number="5204">water</strongs>, that <strongs number="5128">these</strongs>should <strongs number="3361">not</strongs>be <strongs number="907">baptized</strongs>, <strongs number="3748">which</strongs>have <strongs number="2983">received</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="40">Holy</strongs><strongs number="4151">Ghost</strongs>as well <strongs number="2531 2532">as</strongs><strongs number="2249">we</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='48'><strongs number="5037">And</strongs>he <strongs number="4367">commanded</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>to be <strongs number="907">baptized</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3686">name</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>. <strongs number="5119">Then</strongs><strongs number="2065">prayed</strongs>they <strongs number="846">him</strongs>to <strongs number="1961">tarry</strongs><strongs number="5100">certain</strongs><strongs number="2250">days</strongs>. </verse>
