      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5087">vowed</strongs>a <strongs number="5088">vow</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="518">If</strongs>thou wilt indeed <strongs number="5414 5414">deliver</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>into my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, then I will utterly <strongs number="2763">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs>to the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and delivered <strongs number="5414">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3669">Canaanites</strongs>; and they utterly <strongs number="2763">destroyed</strongs>them and their <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>: and he <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="2767">Hormah</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='22'>Let me <strongs number="5674">pass</strongs>through thy <strongs number="776">land</strongs>: we will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5186">turn</strongs>into the <strongs number="7704">fields</strongs>, or into the <strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs>; we will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><em> of </em>the <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>of the <strongs number="875">well</strongs>: <em> but </em>we will go <strongs number="1980">along</strongs>by the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <em> high </em><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, <strongs number="5704 834">until</strongs>we be <strongs number="5674">past</strongs>thy <strongs number="1366">borders</strongs>. </verse>
