      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, when <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6583">Pashur</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4441">Melchiah</strongs>, and <strongs number="6846">Zephaniah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4641">Maaseiah</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1875">Inquire</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, of <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>us; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>maketh <strongs number="3898">war</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>us; if so <strongs number="194">be</strongs>that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will <strongs number="6213">deal</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>us according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his wondrous <strongs number="6381">works</strongs>, that he may go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>us. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs>shall ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will turn <strongs number="5437">back</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3627">weapons</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em>in your <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="3898">fight</strongs>against <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <em> against </em>the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>, which <strongs number="6696 5921">besiege</strongs>you <strongs number="4480 2351">without</strongs>the <strongs number="2346">walls</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="622">assemble</strongs>them <strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And I <strongs number="589">myself</strongs>will <strongs number="3898">fight</strongs><strongs number="854">against</strongs>you with an <strongs number="5186">outstretched</strongs><strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>and with a <strongs number="2389">strong</strongs><strongs number="2220">arm</strongs>, even in <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>, and in <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>, and in <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7110">wrath</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And I will <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>, both <strongs number="120">man</strongs>and <strongs number="929">beast</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>of a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="310 3651">afterward</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and such as are <strongs number="7604">left</strongs>in <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>, <strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>, into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of their <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>, and into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of those that <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>their <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>them with the <strongs number="6310">edge</strongs>of the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>; he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2347 5921">spare</strongs>them, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>have <strongs number="2550">pity</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>have <strongs number="7355">mercy</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of <strongs number="2416">life</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>He that <strongs number="3427">abideth</strongs>in <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and by the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>, and by the <strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>: but he that goeth <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, and <strongs number="5307">falleth</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>that <strongs number="6696 5921">besiege</strongs>you, he shall <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>unto him for a <strongs number="7998">prey</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I have <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>against <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>for <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>for <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: it shall be <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and he shall <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs>it with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And touching the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <em> say </em>, <strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='12'>O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="1777">Execute</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, and <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs><em> him </em><em> that </em><em> is </em><strongs number="1497">spoiled</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="6231">oppressor</strongs>, <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>my <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>like <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and <strongs number="1197">burn</strongs>that <strongs number="369">none</strongs>can <strongs number="3518">quench</strongs><em> it </em>, <strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="7455">evil</strongs>of your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I <em> am </em><strongs number="413">against</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>of the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="6697">rock</strongs>of the <strongs number="4334">plain</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; which <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4310">Who</strongs>shall come <strongs number="5181">down</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>us? or <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">enter</strongs>into our <strongs number="4585">habitations</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='14'>But I will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs>you according to the <strongs number="6529">fruit</strongs>of your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and I will <strongs number="3341">kindle</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in the <strongs number="3293">forest</strongs>thereof, and it shall <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>all <strongs number="3605">things</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>it. </verse>
