      <verse number='2'>And he <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4124">Moab</strongs>; and the <strongs number="4124">Moabites</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>'s <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5375">brought</strongs><strongs number="4503">gifts</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='6'>Then <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="7760">put</strongs><em> garrisons </em>in <strongs number="758 1834">Syria</strongs>-damascus; and the <strongs number="758">Syrians</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>'s <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5375">brought</strongs><strongs number="4503">gifts</strongs>.       <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3111">Jehoiada</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="3774">Cherethites</strongs>and the <strongs number="6432">Pelethites</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="7223">chief</strongs><strongs number="3027">about</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
