      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3289">consulted</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="505">thousands</strongs>and <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, <em> and </em>with <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="5057">leader</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="518">If</strongs><em> it </em><em> seem </em><strongs number="2895">good</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>you, and <em> that </em><em> it </em><em> be </em><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, let us <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="6555">abroad</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>our <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>every where, <em> that </em><em> are </em><strongs number="7604">left</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>them <em> also </em>to the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs><em> which </em><em> are </em>in their <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="4054">suburbs</strongs>, that they may gather <strongs number="6908">themselves</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>us: </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And let us bring <strongs number="5437">again</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of our <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>us: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>we <strongs number="1875">inquired</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>at it in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of <strongs number="7586">Saul</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>that they would <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="3651">so</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>was <strongs number="3474">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>So <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="6950">gathered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>together, <strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="7883">Shihor</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="935">entering</strongs>of <strongs number="2574">Hemath</strongs>, to <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 7157">Kirjath</strongs>-jearim. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, to <strongs number="1173">Baalah</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> is </em>, <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="7157">Kirjath</strongs>-jearim, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> belonged </em>to <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, to bring <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that <strongs number="3427">dwelleth</strongs><em> between </em>the <strongs number="3742">cherubims</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whose</strongs><strongs number="8034">name</strongs>is <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><em> on </em><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And they <strongs number="7392">carried</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>a <strongs number="2319">new</strongs><strongs number="5699">cart</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="41">Abinadab</strongs>: and <strongs number="5798">Uzza</strongs>and <strongs number="283">Ahio</strongs><strongs number="5090">drove</strongs>the <strongs number="5699">cart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="7832">played</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> their </em><strongs number="5797">might</strongs>, and with <strongs number="7892">singing</strongs>, and with <strongs number="3658">harps</strongs>, and with <strongs number="5035">psalteries</strongs>, and with <strongs number="8596">timbrels</strongs>, and with <strongs number="4700">cymbals</strongs>, and with <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And when they <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1637">threshingfloor</strongs>of <strongs number="3592">Chidon</strongs>, <strongs number="5798">Uzza</strongs>put <strongs number="7971">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>to <strongs number="270">hold</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs><strongs number="8058">stumbled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And the <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">kindled</strongs>against <strongs number="5798">Uzza</strongs>, and he <strongs number="5221 5921">smote</strongs>him, <strongs number="5921 834">because</strongs>he <strongs number="7971">put</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>: and <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>he <strongs number="4191">died</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">displeased</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="6555">made</strongs>a <strongs number="6556">breach</strongs>upon <strongs number="5798">Uzza</strongs>: wherefore <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>is <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="6560">Perez</strongs>-uzza <strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>was <strongs number="3372">afraid</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="1963">How</strongs>shall I <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> home </em><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me? </verse>
      <verse number='13'>So <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="5493">brought</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs><em> home </em><strongs number="413">to</strongs>himself <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, but carried it <strongs number="5186">aside</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="5654">Obed</strongs>-edom the <strongs number="1663">Gittite</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="3427">remained</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">family</strongs>of <strongs number="5654">Obed</strongs>-edom in his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="2320">months</strongs>. And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="5654">Obed</strongs>-edom, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had. </verse>
