      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6242">Twenty</strongs>and <strongs number="2568">five</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>he when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>; and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs>and <strongs number="8672">nine</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. His <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>'s <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>also <em> was </em><strongs number="21">Abi</strongs>, the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="2148">Zachariah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="3477">right</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="1931">He</strongs><strongs number="5493">removed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>, and <strongs number="7665">broke</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4676">images</strongs>, and cut <strongs number="3772">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="842">groves</strongs>, and broke in <strongs number="3807">pieces</strongs>the <strongs number="5178">brazen</strongs><strongs number="5175">serpent</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="1961">did</strongs>burn <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>to it: and he <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>it <strongs number="5180">Nehushtan</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>He <strongs number="982">trusted</strongs>in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; so that <strongs number="310">after</strongs>him <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs>like <strongs number="3644">him</strongs>among <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, nor <em> any </em><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1961">were</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>For he <strongs number="1692">cleaved</strongs>to the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="5493">departed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">following</strongs>him, but <strongs number="8104">kept</strongs>his <strongs number="4687">commandments</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him; <em> and </em>he <strongs number="7919">prospered</strongs><strongs number="3605 834">whithersoever</strongs>he went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>: and he <strongs number="4775">rebelled</strongs>against the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, and <strongs number="5647">served</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1931">He</strongs><strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="5804">Gaza</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1366">borders</strongs>thereof, from the <strongs number="4480 4026">tower</strongs>of the <strongs number="5341">watchmen</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4013">fenced</strongs><strongs number="5892">city</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>in the <strongs number="7243">fourth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">which</strongs><em> was </em>the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="1954">Hoshea</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="425">Elah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="8022">Shalmaneser</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>, and <strongs number="6696 5921">besieged</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And at the <strongs number="4480 7097">end</strongs>of <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>they <strongs number="3920">took</strongs>it: <em> even </em>in the <strongs number="8337">sixth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="8672">ninth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="1954">Hoshea</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>was <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>did carry <strongs number="1540">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>unto <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>, and <strongs number="5148">put</strongs>them in <strongs number="2477">Halah</strongs>and in <strongs number="2249">Habor</strongs><em> by </em>the <strongs number="5104">river</strongs>of <strongs number="1470">Gozan</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of the <strongs number="4074">Medes</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="5921 834">Because</strongs>they <strongs number="8085">obeyed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, but <strongs number="5674">transgressed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>the <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>, and would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs><em> them </em>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="6213">do</strongs><em> them </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Now in the <strongs number="702 6240">fourteenth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>did <strongs number="5576">Sennacherib</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1219">fenced</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="8610">took</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>to <strongs number="3923">Lachish</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, I have <strongs number="2398">offended</strongs>; <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>me: <strongs number="*853"></strongs>that <strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou <strongs number="5414">puttest</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>me will I <strongs number="5375">bear</strongs>. And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs><strongs number="7760">appointed</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs><strongs number="3603">talents</strongs>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="3603">talents</strongs>of <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs><em> him </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>that was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>At <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>did <strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>cut <strongs number="7112">off</strongs><em> the </em><em> gold </em><em> from </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1817">doors</strongs>of the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <em> from </em>the <strongs number="547">pillars</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>had <strongs number="6823">overlaid</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>it to the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8661">Tartan</strongs>and <strongs number="7249">Rabsaris</strongs>and <strongs number="7262">Rab</strongs>-shakeh <strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="3923">Lachish</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="2396">Hezekiah</strongs>with a <strongs number="3515">great</strongs><strongs number="2426">host</strongs>against <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. And they went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>and <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. And when they were come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>and <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs>by the <strongs number="8585">conduit</strongs>of the <strongs number="5945">upper</strongs><strongs number="1295">pool</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="4546">highway</strongs>of the <strongs number="3526">fuller</strongs>'s <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='25'>Am I <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4480 1107">without</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>to <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs>it?
