      <verse number='2'><strongs number="7535">Only</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="2076">sacrificed</strongs>in high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>there was <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="1129">built</strongs>unto the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs><strongs number="1992">those</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="157">loved</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">walking</strongs>in the <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>: <strongs number="7535">only</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="2076">sacrificed</strongs>and burnt <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>in high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="1391">Gibeon</strongs>to <strongs number="2076">sacrifice</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><em> was </em>the <strongs number="1419">great</strongs>high <strongs number="1116">place</strongs>: a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>did <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5927">offer</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>In <strongs number="1391">Gibeon</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>in a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>: and <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="7592">Ask</strongs><strongs number="4100">what</strongs>I shall <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>thee. </verse>

      <verse number='11'>And <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="3282 834">Because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7592">asked</strongs>for thyself <strongs number="7227">long</strongs><strongs number="3117">life</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>hast <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs><strongs number="6239">riches</strongs>for thyself, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>hast <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs>the <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>of thine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>; but hast <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs>for thyself <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs>to <strongs number="8085">discern</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>; </verse>

      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="518">if</strongs>thou wilt <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>in my <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>, to <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>my <strongs number="2706">statutes</strongs>and my <strongs number="4687">commandments</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>did <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>, then I will <strongs number="748">lengthen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="3364">awoke</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> it </em><em> was </em>a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>. And he <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="727">ark</strongs>of the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs>of the <strongs number="136">LORD</strongs>, and offered <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">offered</strongs>peace <strongs number="8002">offerings</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>a <strongs number="4960">feast</strongs>to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="227">Then</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>there <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="802">women</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> were </em><strongs number="2181">harlots</strongs>, <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, and <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="994">O</strongs>my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>, <strongs number="589">I</strongs>and <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; and I was delivered of a <strongs number="3205">child</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>her in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>the <strongs number="7992">third</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>after that I was <strongs number="3205">delivered</strongs>, that <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs>was <strongs number="3205">delivered</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>: and <strongs number="587">we</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>; <em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="2114">stranger</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>us in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="2108">save</strongs><strongs number="587">we</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">child</strongs><strongs number="4191">died</strongs>in the <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>; <strongs number="834">because</strongs>she <strongs number="7901 5921">overlaid</strongs>it. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And she <strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>at <strongs number="8432 3915">midnight</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 681">beside</strongs>me, while thine <strongs number="519">handmaid</strongs><strongs number="3463">slept</strongs>, and <strongs number="7901">laid</strongs>it in her <strongs number="2436">bosom</strongs>, and <strongs number="7901">laid</strongs>her <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs><strongs number="1121">child</strongs>in my <strongs number="2436">bosom</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And when I <strongs number="6965">rose</strongs>in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>to give my child <strongs number="3242 *853 1121">suck</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, it was <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>: but when I had <strongs number="995 413">considered</strongs>it in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, it <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I did <strongs number="3205">bear</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And the <strongs number="312">other</strongs><strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">Nay</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs><em> is </em>thy <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>. And <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">No</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>the <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs><em> is </em>thy <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>.
