      <verse number='1'>But it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>within a <strongs number="4480 3117">while</strongs>after, in the <strongs number="3117">time</strongs>of <strongs number="2406">wheat</strongs><strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>, that <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="6485">visited</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>with a <strongs number="1423 5795">kid</strongs>; and he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I will go <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>my <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>into the <strongs number="2315">chamber</strongs>. But her <strongs number="1">father</strongs>would <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5414">suffer</strongs>him to go <strongs number="935">in</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And her <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I verily <strongs number="559 559">thought</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou hadst utterly <strongs number="8130 8130">hated</strongs>her; therefore I <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>her to thy <strongs number="4828">companion</strongs>: <em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>her <strongs number="6996">younger</strongs><strongs number="269">sister</strongs><strongs number="2896">fairer</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>she? <strongs number="1961">take</strongs>her, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="8478">instead</strongs>of her. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>concerning them, <strongs number="6471">Now</strongs>shall I be more <strongs number="5352">blameless</strongs>than the <strongs number="4480 6430">Philistines</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">though</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="6213 5973">do</strongs>them a <strongs number="7451">displeasure</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>and <strongs number="3920">caught</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs><strongs number="7776">foxes</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="3940">firebrands</strongs>, and <strongs number="6437">turned</strongs><strongs number="2180">tail</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="2180">tail</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="3940">firebrand</strongs>in the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="2180">tails</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And when he had <strongs number="1197">set</strongs>the <strongs number="3940">brands</strongs>on <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, he let <em> them </em><strongs number="7971">go</strongs>into the standing <strongs number="7054">corn</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, and burnt <strongs number="1197">up</strongs>both the <strongs number="4480 1430">shocks</strongs>, and <strongs number="5704">also</strongs>the standing <strongs number="7054">corn</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="2132">olives</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Then the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4310">Who</strongs>hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>? And they <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>, the <strongs number="2860">son</strongs>-in-law of the <strongs number="8554">Timnite</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he had <strongs number="3947">taken</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>her to his <strongs number="4828">companion</strongs>. And the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="8313">burnt</strongs>her and her <strongs number="1">father</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="518">Though</strongs>ye have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">yet</strongs>will I be <strongs number="5358">avenged</strongs>of you, and after <strongs number="310">that</strongs>I will <strongs number="2308">cease</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And he <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them <strongs number="7785">hip</strongs><strongs number="5921">and</strongs><strongs number="3409">thigh</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="4347">slaughter</strongs>: and he went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>and <strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in the <strongs number="5585">top</strongs>of the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs><strongs number="5862">Etam</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="2583">pitched</strongs>in <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and spread <strongs number="5203">themselves</strongs>in <strongs number="3896">Lehi</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Why</strongs>are ye come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>us? And they <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, To <strongs number="631">bind</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>are we come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>to him <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>to us. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Then <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="3381">went</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5585">top</strongs>of the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs><strongs number="5862">Etam</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>to <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>, <strongs number="3045">Knowest</strongs>thou <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="4910">rulers</strongs>over us? <strongs number="4100">what</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><em> that </em>thou hast <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto us?       <verse number='12'>And they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, We are come <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="631">bind</strongs>thee, that we may <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>thee into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>. And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="7650">Swear</strongs>unto me, <strongs number="6435">that</strongs>ye will not <strongs number="6293">fall</strongs>upon me <strongs number="859">yourselves</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And they <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">No</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>we will bind thee <strongs number="631 631">fast</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>thee into their <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>: but surely we will not <strongs number="4191 3808 4191">kill</strongs>thee. And they <strongs number="631">bound</strongs>him with <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="2319">new</strongs><strongs number="5688">cords</strongs>, and brought him <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><em> And </em>when <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="3896">Lehi</strongs>, the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="7321">shouted</strongs><strongs number="7125">against</strongs>him: and the <strongs number="7307">Spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>came <strongs number="6743">mightily</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, and the <strongs number="5688">cords</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>his <strongs number="2220">arms</strongs><strongs number="1961">became</strongs>as <strongs number="6593">flax</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>was <strongs number="1197">burnt</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and his <strongs number="612">bands</strongs><strongs number="4549">loosed</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And he <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>a <strongs number="2961">new</strongs><strongs number="3895">jawbone</strongs>of an <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>, and put <strongs number="7971">forth</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>it, and <strongs number="5221">slew</strongs>a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>therewith. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, With the <strongs number="3895">jawbone</strongs>of an <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>, heaps upon <strongs number="2565 2565">heaps</strongs>, with the <strongs number="3895">jaw</strongs>of an <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>have I <strongs number="5221">slain</strongs>a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when he had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs>, that he cast <strongs number="7993">away</strongs>the <strongs number="3895">jawbone</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="7437">Ramath</strongs>-lehi. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And he was sore <strongs number="6770 3966">athirst</strongs>, and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs><strongs number="413">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs>hast <strongs number="5414">given</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="8668">deliverance</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>: and <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>shall I <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>for <strongs number="6772">thirst</strongs>, and <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="6189">uncircumcised</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='19'>But <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="1234">cleaved</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a hollow <strongs number="4388">place</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em>in the <strongs number="3895">jaw</strongs>, and there <strongs number="3318">came</strongs><strongs number="4325">water</strongs><strongs number="4480">therefrom</strongs>; and when he had <strongs number="8354">drunk</strongs>, his <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>came <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>, and he <strongs number="2421">revived</strongs>: <strongs number="5921 3651">wherefore</strongs>he <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>thereof <strongs number="5875">En</strongs>-hakkore, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em>in <strongs number="3896">Lehi</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And he <strongs number="8199">judged</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>. </verse>
