      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="8553">Timnath</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>a <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>in <strongs number="8553">Timnath</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 1323">daughters</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And he came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>a <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>in <strongs number="8553">Timnath</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 1323">daughters</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>: <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="3947">get</strongs>her for me to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Then his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <em> Is </em><em> there </em><strongs number="369">never</strongs>a <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>among the <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>of thy <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>, or among <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="1980">goest</strongs>to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>a <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>of the <strongs number="6189">uncircumcised</strongs><strongs number="4480 6430">Philistines</strongs>? And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="3947">Get</strongs>her for me; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">she</strongs>pleaseth me <strongs number="3474 5869">well</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>But his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs><strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> was </em>of the <strongs number="4480 3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>an <strongs number="8385">occasion</strongs>against the <strongs number="4480 6430">Philistines</strongs>: for at <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>had <strongs number="4910">dominion</strongs>over <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>Then went Samson <strongs number="3381 8123">down</strongs>, and his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, to <strongs number="8553">Timnath</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs>of <strongs number="8553">Timnath</strongs>: and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, a <strongs number="3715">young</strongs><strongs number="738">lion</strongs><strongs number="7580">roared</strongs><strongs number="7125">against</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And the <strongs number="7307">Spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>came <strongs number="6743">mightily</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, and he <strongs number="8156">rent</strongs>him as he would have <strongs number="8156">rent</strongs>a <strongs number="1423">kid</strongs>, and <em> he </em><em> had </em><strongs number="3972 369">nothing</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>: but he <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>or his <strongs number="517">mother</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">what</strongs>he had <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='8'>And after a <strongs number="4480 3117">time</strongs>he <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>her, and he turned <strongs number="5493">aside</strongs>to <strongs number="7200">see</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4658">carcass</strongs>of the <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>: and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> was </em>a <strongs number="5712">swarm</strongs>of <strongs number="1682">bees</strongs>and <strongs number="1706">honey</strongs>in the <strongs number="1472">carcass</strongs>of the <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And he <strongs number="7287">took</strongs>thereof <strongs number="413">in</strongs>his <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>, and went <strongs number="1980 1980">on</strongs><strongs number="398">eating</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>and <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>, and he <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>them, and they did <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>: but he <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>them <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="7287">taken</strongs>the <strongs number="1706">honey</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 1472">carcass</strongs>of the <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>So his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>: and <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>a <strongs number="4960">feast</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3651">so</strongs>used the young <strongs number="970">men</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when they <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>him, that they <strongs number="3947">brought</strongs><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="4828">companions</strongs>to <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, I will <strongs number="4994">now</strongs>put <strongs number="2330">forth</strongs>a <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>unto you: <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye can certainly <strongs number="5046 5046">declare</strongs>it me within the <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>of the <strongs number="4960">feast</strongs>, and find <em> it </em><strongs number="4672">out</strongs>, then I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>you <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="5466">sheets</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="2487">change</strongs>of <strongs number="899">garments</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='13'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="3201 3808">cannot</strongs><strongs number="5046">declare</strongs><em> it </em>me, then shall <strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="5466">sheets</strongs>and <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="2487">change</strongs>of <strongs number="899">garments</strongs>.       <verse number='14'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, Out of the <strongs number="4480 398">eater</strongs>came <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="3978">meat</strongs>, and out of the <strongs number="4480 5794">strong</strongs>came <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="4966">sweetness</strongs>. And they <strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="5046">expound</strongs>the <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>on the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, that they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, <strongs number="6601">Entice</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="376">husband</strongs>, that he may <strongs number="5046">declare</strongs>unto us <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>, <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>we <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs>thee and thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>: have ye <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>us to take that we <strongs number="3423">have</strongs>? <em> is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> so </em>? </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs><strongs number="1058">wept</strongs><strongs number="5921">before</strongs>him, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Thou dost <strongs number="7535">but</strongs><strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>me, and <strongs number="157">lovest</strongs>me <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>: thou hast put <strongs number="2330">forth</strongs>a <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5046">told</strongs><em> it </em>me.       <verse number='19'>And the <strongs number="7307">Spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6743">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, and he went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="831">Ashkelon</strongs>, and <strongs number="5221">slew</strongs><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="2488">spoil</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>change of <strongs number="2487">garments</strongs>unto them which <strongs number="5046">expounded</strongs>the <strongs number="2420">riddle</strongs>. And his <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">kindled</strongs>, and he went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>But <strongs number="8123">Samson</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><em> given </em>to his <strongs number="4828">companion</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>he had used as his <strongs number="7462">friend</strongs>. </verse>
