      <verse number='12'>And when the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> of </em><em> it </em>, the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>gathered themselves <strongs number="6950">together</strongs>at <strongs number="7887">Shiloh</strongs>, to <strongs number="5927">go</strongs>up to <strongs number="6635">war</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>them. </verse>

      <verse number='17'><em> Is </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>of <strongs number="6465">Peor</strongs>too <strongs number="4592">little</strongs>for us, <strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>we are <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2891">cleansed</strongs><strongs number="5704">until</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, although there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="5063">plague</strongs>in the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='18'>But that <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>must turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">following</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>? and it will <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <em> seeing </em><strongs number="859">ye</strongs><strongs number="4775">rebel</strongs><strongs number="3117">today</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that <strongs number="4279">tomorrow</strongs>he will be <strongs number="7107">wroth</strongs><strongs number="413">with</strongs>the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="389">Notwithstanding</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of your <strongs number="272">possession</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="2931">unclean</strongs>, <em> then </em>pass ye <strongs number="5674">over</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="272">possession</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherein</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="4908">tabernacle</strongs><strongs number="7931 8033">dwelleth</strongs>, and take <strongs number="270">possession</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>us: but <strongs number="4775">rebel</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="408">nor</strongs><strongs number="4775">rebel</strongs>against us, in <strongs number="1129">building</strongs>you an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="4480 1107">beside</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>Did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="5912">Achan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2226">Zerah</strongs><strongs number="4603">commit</strongs>a <strongs number="4604">trespass</strongs>in the accursed <strongs number="2764">thing</strongs>, and <strongs number="7110">wrath</strongs><strongs number="1961">fell</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>? and <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="1478">perished</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="259">alone</strongs>in his <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='23'>That we have <strongs number="1129">built</strongs>us an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>to <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 310">following</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, or <strongs number="518">if</strongs>to <strongs number="5927">offer</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>or meat <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>, or <strongs number="518">if</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">offer</strongs><strongs number="8002">peace</strongs><strongs number="2077">offerings</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereon</strongs>, let the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1931">himself</strongs><strongs number="1245">require</strongs><em> it </em>; </verse>

      <verse number='26'>Therefore we <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Let us <strongs number="4994">now</strongs><strongs number="6213">prepare</strongs>to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>us <strongs number="*853"></strongs>an <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>for <strongs number="5930">burnt</strongs>offering, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>for <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='31'>And <strongs number="6372">Phinehas</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="7205">Reuben</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="1410">Gad</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="4519">Manasseh</strongs>, This <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>we <strongs number="3045">perceive</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>us, <strongs number="834">because</strongs>ye have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4603">committed</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4604">trespass</strongs>against the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="227">now</strongs>ye have <strongs number="5337">delivered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>And <strongs number="6372">Phinehas</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="499">Eleazar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5387">princes</strongs>, <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="7205">Reuben</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="1410">Gad</strongs>, out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>, <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3667">Canaan</strongs>, <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and brought them word <strongs number="7725 *853 1697">again</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'>And the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="3190 5869">pleased</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="559">intend</strongs>to go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>them in <strongs number="6635">battle</strongs>, to <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="834">wherein</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="7205">Reuben</strongs>and <strongs number="1410">Gad</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>And the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="7205">Reuben</strongs>and the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="1410">Gad</strongs><strongs number="7121">called</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><em> Ed </em>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="5707">witness</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>us <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
