      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1161">Now</strongs><strongs number="1473">I</strongs><strongs number="3972">Paul</strongs><strongs number="846">myself</strongs><strongs number="3870">beseech</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4236">meekness</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1932">gentleness</strongs>of <strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>, <strongs number="3739">who</strongs><strongs number="2596">in</strongs><strongs number="4383">presence</strongs><em><strongs number="*3303">am</strongs></em><strongs number="5011">base</strongs><strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">but</strongs>being <strongs number="548">absent</strongs>am <strongs number="2292">bold</strongs><strongs number="1519">toward</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>I <strongs number="1189">beseech</strongs><em> you, </em>that I may <strongs number="3361">not</strongs>be <strongs number="2292">bold</strongs>when I am <strongs number="3918">present</strongs>with that <strongs number="4006">confidence</strongs>, <strongs number="3739">wherewith</strongs>I <strongs number="3049">think</strongs>to be <strongs number="5111">bold</strongs><strongs number="1909">against</strongs><strongs number="5100">some</strongs>, which <strongs number="3049">think</strongs>of <strongs number="2248">us</strongs><strongs number="5613">as</strongs>if we <strongs number="4043">walked</strongs><strongs number="2596">according</strongs>to the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>though we <strongs number="4043">walk</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>, we do <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="4754">war</strongs><strongs number="2596">after</strongs>the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='4'>( <strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3696">weapons</strongs>of <strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="4752">warfare</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="4559">carnal</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="1415">mighty</strongs>through <strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="4314">to</strongs>the pulling <strongs number="2506">down</strongs>of <strongs number="3794">strongholds</strongs>;) </verse>
      <verse number='5'>Casting <strongs number="2507">down</strongs><strongs number="3053">imaginations</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs>high <strongs number="5313">thing</strongs>that exalteth <strongs number="1869">itself</strongs><strongs number="2596">against</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1108">knowledge</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>bringing into <strongs number="163">captivity</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="3540">thought</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5218">obedience</strongs>of <strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="2192">having</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>a <strongs number="2092">readiness</strongs>to <strongs number="1556">revenge</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="3876">disobedience</strongs>, <strongs number="3752">when</strongs><strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="5218">obedience</strongs>is <strongs number="4137">fulfilled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Do ye look <strongs number="991">on</strongs><strongs number="3588">things</strongs><strongs number="2596">after</strongs>the outward <strongs number="4383">appearance</strongs>? If any <strongs number="1536">man</strongs><strongs number="3982">trust</strongs>to <strongs number="1438">himself</strongs>that he <strongs number="1511">is</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>'s, let him <strongs number="575">of</strongs><strongs number="1438">himself</strongs><strongs number="3049">think</strongs><strongs number="5124">this</strongs><strongs number="3825">again</strongs>, <strongs number="3754">that</strongs>, <strongs number="2531">as</strongs><strongs number="846">he</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>'s, <strongs number="2532">even</strongs><strongs number="3779">so</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="2249">we</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>'s. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1437 5037">though</strongs>I should <strongs number="2744">boast</strongs><strongs number="5100">somewhat</strongs><strongs number="4055">more</strongs><strongs number="4012">of</strongs><strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="1849">authority</strongs>, <strongs number="3739">which</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>hath <strongs number="1325">given</strongs><strongs number="2254">us</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="3619">edification</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="1519">for</strongs><strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="2506">destruction</strongs>, I should <strongs number="3756">not</strongs>be <strongs number="153">ashamed</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="2443">That</strongs>I may <strongs number="3361">not</strongs><strongs number="1380">seem</strongs><strongs number="5613 302">as</strongs>if I would <strongs number="1629">terrify</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="1992">letters</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3754">For</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="1992 *3303">letters</strongs>, <strongs number="5346">say</strongs>they, <em> are </em><strongs number="926">weighty</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2478">powerful</strongs>; <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="4983">bodily</strongs><strongs number="3952">presence</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="772">weak</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="3056">speech</strongs><strongs number="1848">contemptible</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Let such a <strongs number="5108">one</strongs><strongs number="3049">think</strongs><strongs number="5124">this</strongs>, <strongs number="3754">that</strongs>, <strongs number="3634">such</strongs>as we <strongs number="2070">are</strongs>in <strongs number="3056">word</strongs><strongs number="1223">by</strongs><strongs number="1992">letters</strongs>when we are <strongs number="548">absent</strongs>, <strongs number="5108">such</strongs><em> will </em><em> we </em><em> be </em><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>in <strongs number="2041">deed</strongs>when we are <strongs number="3918">present</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>we <strongs number="5111">dare</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>make ourselves of the <strongs number="1469 1438">number</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">or</strongs><strongs number="4793">compare</strongs><strongs number="1438">ourselves</strongs>with <strongs number="5100">some</strongs>that <strongs number="4921">commend</strongs><strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs>: <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="846">they</strongs><strongs number="3354">measuring</strongs><strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs><strongs number="1722">by</strongs><strongs number="1438">themseves</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="4793">comparing</strongs><strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs>among <strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs>, are not <strongs number="4920 3756">wise</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="2249">we</strongs>will <strongs number="3780">not</strongs><strongs number="2744">boast</strongs><strongs number="1519">of</strongs>things without <em> our </em><strongs number="280">measure</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="2596">according</strongs>to <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3358">measure</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2583">rule</strongs><strongs number="3739">which</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs>hath <strongs number="3307">distributed</strongs>to <strongs number="2254">us</strongs>, a <strongs number="3358">measure</strongs>to <strongs number="2185">reach</strongs><strongs number="2532">even</strongs><strongs number="891">unto</strongs><strongs number="5216">you</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>we stretch not ourselves <strongs number="5239 3756 1438">beyond</strongs><em> our </em><em> measure, </em>as <strongs number="5613">though</strongs>we <strongs number="2185">reached</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>we are <strongs number="5348">come</strongs>as far <strongs number="891">as</strongs>to <strongs number="5216">you</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><em> preaching </em><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2098">gospel</strongs>of <strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="3756">Not</strongs><strongs number="2744">boasting</strongs><strongs number="1519">of</strongs>things without <em> our </em><strongs number="280">measure</strongs>, <em> that </em><em> is, </em><strongs number="1722">of</strongs>other <strongs number="245">men</strongs>'s <strongs number="2873">labors</strongs>; <strongs number="1161">but</strongs><strongs number="2192">having</strongs><strongs number="1680">hope</strongs>, when <strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>is <strongs number="837">increased</strongs>, that we shall be <strongs number="3170">enlarged</strongs><strongs number="1722">by</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs><strongs number="2596">according</strongs>to <strongs number="2257">our</strongs><strongs number="2583">rule</strongs><strongs number="1519 4050">abundantly</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='16'>To preach the <strongs number="2097">gospel</strongs><strongs number="1519">in</strongs>the <em> regions </em><strongs number="5238">beyond</strongs><strongs number="5216">you</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>to <strongs number="2744">boast</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>another <strongs number="245">man</strongs>'s line of <strongs number="2583">things</strongs>made ready to our <strongs number="1519 2092">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>he that <strongs number="2744">glorieth</strongs>, let him <strongs number="2744">glory</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>. </verse>
