      <verse number='22'>And <strongs number="430">God</strongs>'s <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">kindled</strongs><strongs number="3588">because</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>: and the <strongs number="4397">angel</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="3320">stood</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>for an <strongs number="7854">adversary</strongs>against him. Now <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>was <strongs number="7392">riding</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>his <strongs number="860">ass</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="5288">servants</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him. </verse>

      <verse number='37'>And <strongs number="1111">Balak</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs>, Did I <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>earnestly <strongs number="7971 7971">send</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee to <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>thee? <strongs number="4100">wherefore</strongs><strongs number="1980">camest</strongs>thou <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me? am I not <strongs number="3201 3808">able</strongs><strongs number="552">indeed</strongs>to promote thee to <strongs number="3513">honor</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='38'>And <strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="1111">Balak</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Lo</strongs>, I am <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee: have I <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>any power at <strongs number="3201 3201">all</strongs>to <strongs number="1696">say</strongs>any <strongs number="3972">thing</strongs>? the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="7760">putteth</strongs>in my <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>, that shall I <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And <strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="1111">Balak</strongs>, and they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>unto <strongs number="7155">Kirjath</strongs>-huzoth. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>And <strongs number="1111">Balak</strongs><strongs number="2076">offered</strongs><strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs>and <strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>, and <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>to <strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs>, and to the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='41'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>on the <strongs number="1242">morrow</strongs>, that <strongs number="1111">Balak</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1109">Balaam</strongs>, and brought him <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>into the high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, that <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>he might <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>the <strongs number="7097">utmost</strongs><em> part </em>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
