      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="3027">by</strongs><strongs number="4401">Malachi</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>I have <strongs number="157">loved</strongs>you, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. Yet ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Wherein</strongs>hast thou <strongs number="157">loved</strongs>us? <em> Was </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6215">Esau</strongs><strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>'s <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: yet I <strongs number="157">loved</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And I <strongs number="8130">hated</strongs><strongs number="6215">Esau</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">laid</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>and his <strongs number="5159">heritage</strongs><strongs number="8077">waste</strongs>for the <strongs number="8568">dragons</strongs>of the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="3588">Whereas</strongs><strongs number="123">Edom</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>, We are <strongs number="7567">impoverished</strongs>, but we will <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>and <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>the desolate <strongs number="2723">places</strongs>; <strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="1992">They</strongs>shall <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>, but <strongs number="589">I</strongs>will throw <strongs number="2040">down</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>them, The <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>of <strongs number="7564">wickedness</strongs>, and, The <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>against <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="2194">indignation</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And your <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>shall <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>, and <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>will be <strongs number="1431">magnified</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>A <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="3513">honoreth</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="1">father</strongs>, and a <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>his <strongs number="113">master</strongs>: <strongs number="518">if</strongs>then <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> be </em>a <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="346">where</strongs><em> is </em>mine <strongs number="3519">honor</strongs>? and <strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> be </em>a <strongs number="113">master</strongs>, <strongs number="346">where</strongs><em> is </em>my <strongs number="4172">fear</strongs>? <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>unto you, O <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, that <strongs number="959">despise</strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>.       <verse number='7'>Ye <strongs number="5066">offer</strongs><strongs number="1351">polluted</strongs><strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>mine <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>; and ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Wherein</strongs>have we <strongs number="1351">polluted</strongs>thee? In that ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, The <strongs number="7979">table</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="959">contemptible</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And <strongs number="3588">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="5066">offer</strongs>the <strongs number="5787">blind</strongs>for <strongs number="2076">sacrifice</strongs>, <em> is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>? and <strongs number="3588">if</strongs>ye <strongs number="5066">offer</strongs>the <strongs number="6455">lame</strongs>and <strongs number="2470">sick</strongs>, <em> is </em><em> it </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>? <strongs number="7126">offer</strongs>it <strongs number="4994">now</strongs>unto thy <strongs number="6346">governor</strongs>; will he be <strongs number="7521">pleased</strongs>with thee, <strongs number="176">or</strongs><strongs number="5375">accept</strongs>thy <strongs number="6440">person</strongs>? <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">you</strongs>, <strongs number="2470">beseech</strongs><strongs number="410">God</strongs>that he will be <strongs number="2603">gracious</strongs>unto us: <strongs number="2063">this</strongs>hath <strongs number="1961">been</strongs>by your <strongs number="4480 3027">means</strongs>: will he <strongs number="5375">regard</strongs><strongs number="4480">your</strongs><strongs number="6440">persons</strongs>? <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="4310">Who</strongs><em> is </em><em> there </em><strongs number="1571">even</strongs>among you that would <strongs number="5462">shut</strongs>the <strongs number="1817">doors</strongs><em> for </em><em> naught </em>? <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>do ye <strongs number="215">kindle</strongs><em> fire </em>on mine <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>for <strongs number="2600">naught</strongs>. I have <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="2656">pleasure</strongs>in you, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>will I <strongs number="7521">accept</strongs>an <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>at your <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 4217">rising</strongs>of the <strongs number="8121">sun</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the going <strongs number="3996">down</strongs>of the same my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">Gentiles</strongs>; and in <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="6999">incense</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="5066">offered</strongs>unto my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, and a <strongs number="2889">pure</strongs><strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="1419">great</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>But <strongs number="859">ye</strongs>have <strongs number="2490">profaned</strongs>it, in that ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, The <strongs number="7979">table</strongs>of the <strongs number="136">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1351">polluted</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5108">fruit</strongs>thereof, <em> even </em>his <strongs number="400">meat</strongs>, <em> is </em><strongs number="959">contemptible</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Ye <strongs number="559">said</strongs>also, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, what a <strongs number="4972 8513">weariness</strongs><em> is </em><em> it </em>! and ye have snuffed <strongs number="5301">at</strongs>it, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>; and ye <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="1497">torn</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6455">lame</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2470">sick</strongs>; thus ye <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>an <strongs number="4503">offering</strongs>: should I <strongs number="7521">accept</strongs>this of your <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>? <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>But <strongs number="779">cursed</strongs><em> be </em>the <strongs number="5230">deceiver</strongs>, which <strongs number="3426">hath</strongs>in his <strongs number="5739">flock</strongs>a <strongs number="2145">male</strongs>, and <strongs number="5087">voweth</strongs>, and <strongs number="2076">sacrificeth</strongs>unto the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>a corrupt <strongs number="7843">thing</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="4428">King</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, and my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3372">dreadful</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>. </verse>
