      <verse number='2'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye, O <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="7379">controversy</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="386">strong</strongs><strongs number="4146">foundations</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath a <strongs number="7379">controversy</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and he will <strongs number="3198">plead</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>O my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>have I <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>unto thee? and <strongs number="4100">wherein</strongs>have I <strongs number="3811">wearied</strongs>thee? <strongs number="6030">testify</strongs>against me. </verse>

      <verse number='7'>Will the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>be <strongs number="7521">pleased</strongs>with <strongs number="505">thousands</strongs>of <strongs number="352">rams</strongs>, <em> or </em>with ten <strongs number="7233">thousands</strongs>of <strongs number="5158">rivers</strongs>of <strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>? shall I <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>my <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs><em> for </em>my <strongs number="6588">transgression</strongs>, the <strongs number="6529">fruit</strongs>of my <strongs number="990">body</strongs><em> for </em>the <strongs number="2403">sin</strongs>of my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='8'>He hath <strongs number="5046">showed</strongs>thee, O <strongs number="120">man</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">what</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>; and <strongs number="4100">what</strongs>doth the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1875">require</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>thee, <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="4941">justly</strongs>, and to <strongs number="157">love</strongs><strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs>, and to <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs><strongs number="6800">humbly</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>? </verse>

      <verse number='10'>Are <strongs number="786">there</strongs><strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>the <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>of <strongs number="7562">wickedness</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7332">scant</strongs><strongs number="374">measure</strongs><em> that </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2194">abominable</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Shall I count <em> them </em><strongs number="2135">pure</strongs>with the <strongs number="7562">wicked</strongs><strongs number="3976">balances</strongs>, and with the <strongs number="3599">bag</strongs>of <strongs number="4820">deceitful</strongs><strongs number="68">weights</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="834">For</strongs>the rich <strongs number="6223">men</strongs>thereof are <strongs number="4390">full</strongs>of <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>thereof have <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>, and their <strongs number="3956">tongue</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7423">deceitful</strongs>in their <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Therefore <strongs number="1571">also</strongs>will <strongs number="589">I</strongs>make <em> thee </em><strongs number="2470">sick</strongs>in <strongs number="5221">smiting</strongs>thee, in making <em> thee </em><strongs number="8074">desolate</strongs>because <strongs number="5921">of</strongs>thy <strongs number="2403">sins</strongs>. </verse>
