      <verse number='1'><strongs number="8085">Hear</strongs>ye <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="595">I</strongs>take <strongs number="5375">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you, <em> even </em>a <strongs number="7015">lamentation</strongs>, O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>The <strongs number="1330">virgin</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>is <strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs>; she shall <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="3254">more</strongs><strongs number="6965">rise</strongs>: she is <strongs number="5203">forsaken</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>her <strongs number="127">land</strongs>; <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>to raise her <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>; The <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>that went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><em> by </em>a <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>shall <strongs number="7604">leave</strongs>a <strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>, and that which went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><em> by </em>a <strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>shall <strongs number="7604">leave</strongs><strongs number="6235">ten</strongs>, to the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="1875">Seek</strongs>ye me, and ye shall <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='5'>But <strongs number="1875">seek</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="935">enter</strongs>into <strongs number="1537">Gilgal</strongs>, and <strongs number="5674">pass</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to <strongs number="884">Beer</strongs>-sheba: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1537">Gilgal</strongs>shall surely go into <strongs number="1540 1540">captivity</strongs>, and <strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">come</strongs>to <strongs number="205">naught</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="1875">Seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and ye shall <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>; <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>he break <strongs number="6743">out</strongs>like <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>, and <strongs number="398">devour</strongs><em> it </em>, and <em> there </em><em> be </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>to <strongs number="3518">quench</strongs><em> it </em>in <strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Ye who <strongs number="2015">turn</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>to <strongs number="3939">wormwood</strongs>, and leave <strongs number="5117">off</strongs><strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='8'><em> Seek </em><em> him </em>that <strongs number="6213">maketh</strongs>the seven <strongs number="3598">stars</strongs>and <strongs number="3685">Orion</strongs>, and <strongs number="2015">turneth</strongs>the shadow of <strongs number="6757">death</strongs>into the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>, and maketh the day <strongs number="2821 3117">dark</strongs>with <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>: that <strongs number="7121">calleth</strongs>for the <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, and poureth them <strongs number="8210">out</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='9'>That <strongs number="1082">strengtheneth</strongs>the <strongs number="7701">spoiled</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5974">strong</strongs>, so that the <strongs number="7701">spoiled</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="4013">fortress</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>They <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>him that <strongs number="3198">rebuketh</strongs>in the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>, and they <strongs number="8581">abhor</strongs>him that <strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs><strongs number="8549">uprightly</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3282">Forasmuch</strongs><strongs number="3651">therefore</strongs>as your <strongs number="1318">treading</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>him <strongs number="4864">burdens</strongs>of <strongs number="1250">wheat</strongs>: ye have <strongs number="1129">built</strongs><strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>of hewn <strongs number="1496">stone</strongs>, but ye shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in them; ye have <strongs number="5193">planted</strongs><strongs number="2531">pleasant</strongs><strongs number="3754">vineyards</strongs>, but ye shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8354">drink</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>of them. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>your <strongs number="7227">manifold</strongs><strongs number="6588">transgressions</strongs>and your <strongs number="6099">mighty</strongs><strongs number="2403">sins</strongs>: they <strongs number="6887">afflict</strongs>the <strongs number="6662">just</strongs>, they <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>a <strongs number="3724">bribe</strongs>, and they turn <strongs number="5186">aside</strongs>the <strongs number="34">poor</strongs>in the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs><em> from </em><em> their </em><em> right </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>the <strongs number="7919">prudent</strongs>shall keep <strongs number="1826">silence</strongs>in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">it</strongs><em> is </em>an <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="1875">Seek</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, and <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="4616">that</strongs>ye may <strongs number="2421">live</strongs>: and <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>you, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>ye have <strongs number="559">spoken</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="8130">Hate</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, and <strongs number="157">love</strongs>the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, and <strongs number="3322">establish</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>in the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>: it may <strongs number="194">be</strongs>that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>will be <strongs number="2603">gracious</strongs>unto the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs>; <strongs number="4553">Wailing</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="7339">streets</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2351">highways</strongs>, <strongs number="1930">Alas</strongs>! <strongs number="1930">alas</strongs>! and they shall <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>the <strongs number="406">husbandman</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="60">mourning</strongs>, and such as are <strongs number="3045">skillful</strongs>of <strongs number="5092">lamentation</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="4553">wailing</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1945">Woe</strongs>unto you that <strongs number="183">desire</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>! to what <strongs number="4100">end</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2088">it</strongs>for you? the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="216">light</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>As <strongs number="834">if</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>did <strongs number="5127">flee</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">from</strongs>a <strongs number="738">lion</strongs>, and a <strongs number="1677">bear</strongs><strongs number="6293">met</strongs>him; or <strongs number="935">went</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="5564">leaned</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="7023">wall</strongs>, and a <strongs number="5175">serpent</strongs><strongs number="5391">bit</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><em> Shall </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="2822">darkness</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="216">light</strongs>? even very <strongs number="651">dark</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5051">brightness</strongs>in it? </verse>
      <verse number='21'>I <strongs number="8130">hate</strongs>, I <strongs number="3988">despise</strongs>your feast <strongs number="2282">days</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7306">smell</strongs>in your solemn <strongs number="6116">assemblies</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="3588 518">Though</strongs>ye <strongs number="5927">offer</strongs>me burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>and your meat <strongs number="4503">offerings</strongs>, I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7521">accept</strongs><em> them </em>: <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>will I <strongs number="5027">regard</strongs>the peace <strongs number="8002">offerings</strongs>of your fat <strongs number="4806">beasts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>Take thou <strongs number="5493">away</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>me the <strongs number="1995">noise</strongs>of thy <strongs number="7892">songs</strongs>; for I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="2172">melody</strongs>of thy <strongs number="5035">viols</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>But let <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>run <strongs number="1556">down</strongs>as <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, and <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>as a <strongs number="386">mighty</strongs><strongs number="5158">stream</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>Have ye <strongs number="5066">offered</strongs>unto me <strongs number="2077">sacrifices</strongs>and <strongs number="4503">offerings</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs><strongs number="705">forty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='26'>But ye have <strongs number="5375">borne</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5522">tabernacle</strongs>of your <strongs number="4432">Moloch</strongs>and <strongs number="3594">Chiun</strongs>your <strongs number="6754">images</strongs>, the <strongs number="3556">star</strongs>of your <strongs number="430">god</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>ye <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>to yourselves. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>Therefore will I cause you to go into <strongs number="1540">captivity</strongs><strongs number="4480 1973">beyond</strongs><strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, whose <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> is </em>The <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
