      <verse number='2'>Then <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs><strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="1955">Hoshaiah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7143">Kareah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="2086">proud</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><strongs number="1696">speakest</strongs><strongs number="8267">falsely</strongs>: the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>thee to <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="935">Go</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>into <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>to <strongs number="1481">sojourn</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">But</strongs><strongs number="1263">Baruch</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5374">Neriah</strongs>setteth thee <strongs number="5496 *853">on</strongs>against us, <strongs number="4616">for</strongs>to <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>us into the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>, that they might put us to <strongs number="4191 *853">death</strongs>, and carry us away <strongs number="1540 *853">captives</strongs>into <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>So <strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7143">Kareah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the <strongs number="2428">forces</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">obeyed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, to <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>But <strongs number="3110">Johanan</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="7143">Kareah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the <strongs number="2428">forces</strongs>, <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>were <strongs number="7725">returned</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, <strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>they had been <strongs number="5080">driven</strongs>, to <strongs number="1481">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'><em> Even </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1397">men</strongs>, and <strongs number="802">women</strongs>, and <strongs number="2945">children</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="5315">person</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="5018">Nebuzaradan</strongs>the <strongs number="7227">captain</strongs>of the <strongs number="2876">guard</strongs>had <strongs number="5117">left</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="1436">Gedaliah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="296">Ahikam</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="8227">Shaphan</strongs>, and <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, and <strongs number="1263">Baruch</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5374">Neriah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>So they came <strongs number="935">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="8085">obeyed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: thus <strongs number="935">came</strongs>they <em> even </em><strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="8471">Tahpanhes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Then <strongs number="1961">came</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>in <strongs number="8471">Tahpanhes</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3947">Take</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs>in thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="2934">hide</strongs>them in the <strongs number="4423">clay</strongs>in the <strongs number="4404">brickkiln</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em>at the <strongs number="6607">entry</strongs>of <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>in <strongs number="8471">Tahpanhes</strongs>, in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="3064">Judah</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>and <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, my <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>, and will <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>his <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs><strongs number="4480 4605">upon</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="68">stones</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="2934">hid</strongs>; and he shall <strongs number="5186">spread</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his royal <strongs number="8237">pavilion</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And when he <strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, <em> and </em><em> deliver </em><strongs number="834">such</strongs><em> as </em><em> are </em>for <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>to <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>; and <strongs number="834">such</strongs><em> as </em><em> are </em>for <strongs number="7628">captivity</strongs>to <strongs number="7628">captivity</strongs>; and <strongs number="834">such</strongs><em> as </em><em> are </em>for the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>to the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And I will <strongs number="3341">kindle</strongs>a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>of the <strongs number="430">gods</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; and he shall <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs>them, and carry them away <strongs number="7617">captives</strongs>: and he shall array <strongs number="5844">himself</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>a <strongs number="7462">shepherd</strongs>putteth <strongs number="5844">on</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs>; and he shall go <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>He shall <strongs number="7665">break</strongs>also <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4676">images</strongs>of <strongs number="1053">Beth</strongs>-shemesh, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1004">houses</strongs>of the <strongs number="430">gods</strongs>of the <strongs number="4714">Egyptians</strongs>shall he <strongs number="8313">burn</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
