<verse number='2'><strongs number="6965">Arise</strongs>, and go <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to the <strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>I will cause thee to <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='3'>Then I went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to the <strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, he <strongs number="6213">wrought</strongs>a <strongs number="4399">work</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="70">wheels</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='4'>And the <strongs number="3627">vessel</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs>of <strongs number="2563">clay</strongs>was <strongs number="7843">marred</strongs>in the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>: so he <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>it <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="312">another</strongs><strongs number="3627">vessel</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs><strongs number="5869">seemed</strongs><strongs number="3474">good</strongs>to the <strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">make</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>

<verse number='6'>O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="3808 3201">cannot</strongs>I <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>with you as <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, as the <strongs number="2563">clay</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="3335">potter</strongs>'s <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>in mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, O <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='7'><em> At </em><em> what </em><strongs number="7281">instant</strongs>I shall <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>a <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>a <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>, to pluck <strongs number="5428">up</strongs>, and to pull <strongs number="5422">down</strongs>, and to <strongs number="6">destroy</strongs><em> it </em>; </verse>

<verse number='8'>If <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="834">whom</strongs>I have <strongs number="1696">pronounced</strongs>, <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>from their <strongs number="4480 7451">evil</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5162">repent</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="2803">thought</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>unto them. </verse>

<verse number='9'>And <em> at </em><em> what </em><strongs number="7281">instant</strongs>I shall <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>a <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>a <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>, to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>and to <strongs number="5193">plant</strongs><em> it </em>; </verse>

<verse number='10'>If it <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in my <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>, that it <strongs number="8085">obey</strongs><strongs number="1115">not</strongs>my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, then I will <strongs number="5162">repent</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs>I <strongs number="559">said</strongs>I would <strongs number="3190">benefit</strongs>them. </verse>

<verse number='11'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="4994">go</strongs>to, <strongs number="559">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="3335">frame</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you, and <strongs number="2803">devise</strongs>a <strongs number="4284">device</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>you: <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>ye <strongs number="4994">now</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>from his <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">way</strongs>, and make your <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>and your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs><strongs number="3190">good</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='12'>And they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, There is no <strongs number="2976">hope</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>we will <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>our own <strongs number="4284">devices</strongs>, and we will every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="6213">do</strongs>the <strongs number="8307">imagination</strongs>of his <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='13'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="7592">Ask</strongs>ye <strongs number="4994">now</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="428">such</strongs>things: the <strongs number="1330">virgin</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>hath <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>a <strongs number="3966">very</strongs>horrible <strongs number="8186">thing</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='14'>Will <em> a </em><em> man </em><strongs number="5800">leave</strongs>the <strongs number="7950">snow</strongs>of <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs><em> which </em><em> cometh </em>from the <strongs number="4480 6697">rock</strongs>of the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>? <em> or </em>shall the <strongs number="7119">cold</strongs><strongs number="5140">flowing</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>that come from another <strongs number="2114">place</strongs>be <strongs number="5428">forsaken</strongs>? </verse>

<verse number='15'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>hath <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>me, they have burned <strongs number="6999">incense</strongs>to <strongs number="7723">vanity</strongs>, and they have caused them to <strongs number="3782">stumble</strongs>in their <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs><em> from </em>the <strongs number="5769">ancient</strongs><strongs number="7635">paths</strongs>, to <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>in <strongs number="5410">paths</strongs>, <em> in </em>a <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>cast <strongs number="5549">up</strongs>; </verse>

<verse number='16'>To <strongs number="7760">make</strongs>their <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8047">desolate</strongs>, <em> and </em>a <strongs number="5769">perpetual</strongs><strongs number="8292">hissing</strongs>; every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that <strongs number="5674">passeth</strongs><strongs number="5921">thereby</strongs>shall be <strongs number="8074">astonished</strongs>, and <strongs number="5110">wag</strongs>his <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='17'>I will <strongs number="6327">scatter</strongs>them as with an <strongs number="6921">east</strongs><strongs number="7307">wind</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>; I will <strongs number="7200">show</strongs>them the <strongs number="6203">back</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>, in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of their <strongs number="343">calamity</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='18'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs>they, <strongs number="1980">Come</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="2803">devise</strongs><strongs number="4284">devices</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6">perish</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3548">priest</strongs>, nor <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 2450">wise</strongs>, nor the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 5030">prophet</strongs>. <strongs number="1980">Come</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him with the <strongs number="3956">tongue</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="408">not</strongs>give <strongs number="7181">heed</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3605">any</strongs>of his <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='19'>Give <strongs number="7181">heed</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me, O <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="8085">hearken</strongs>to the <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of them that <strongs number="3401">contend</strongs>with me. </verse>

<verse number='20'>Shall <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>be <strongs number="7999">recompensed</strongs><strongs number="8478">for</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>? <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they have <strongs number="3738">digged</strongs>a <strongs number="7745">pit</strongs>for my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>. <strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs>that I <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee to <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>them, <em> and </em>to turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="2534">wrath</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>them. </verse>

<verse number='21'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>deliver <strongs number="5414">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>to the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>, and pour <strongs number="5064">out</strongs>their <em> blood </em><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">force</strongs>of the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>; and let their <strongs number="802">wives</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>bereaved of their <strongs number="7909">children</strongs>, and <em> be </em><strongs number="490">widows</strongs>; and let their <strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="2026">put</strongs>to <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>; <em> let </em>their young <strongs number="970">men</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="5221">slain</strongs>by the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>in <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='22'>Let a <strongs number="2201">cry</strongs>be <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>from their <strongs number="4480 1004">houses</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">when</strongs>thou shalt <strongs number="935">bring</strongs>a <strongs number="1416">troop</strongs><strongs number="6597">suddenly</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they have <strongs number="3738">digged</strongs>a <strongs number="7745">pit</strongs>to <strongs number="3920">take</strongs>me, and <strongs number="2934">hid</strongs><strongs number="6341">snares</strongs>for my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='23'>Yet, <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="859">thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>me to <strongs number="4194">slay</strongs><em> me </em>: <strongs number="3722">forgive</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>their <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>, <strongs number="408">neither</strongs>blot <strongs number="4229">out</strongs>their <strongs number="2403">sin</strongs>from thy <strongs number="4480 6440">sight</strongs>, but let them <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="3782">overthrown</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee; <strongs number="6213">deal</strongs><em> thus </em>with them in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of thine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>. </verse>
