      <verse number='1'>A good <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">better</strongs>than <strongs number="2896">precious</strongs><strongs number="4480 8081">ointment</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>than the <strongs number="4480 3117">day</strongs>of one's <strongs number="3205">birth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><em> It </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">better</strongs>to <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="60">mourning</strongs>, than to <strongs number="4480 1980">go</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="4960">feasting</strongs>: <strongs number="834">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="5490">end</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="120">men</strongs>; and the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs>will <strongs number="5414">lay</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3708">Sorrow</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">better</strongs>than <strongs number="4480 7814">laughter</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>by the <strongs number="7455">sadness</strongs>of the <strongs number="6440">countenance</strongs>the <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>is made <strongs number="3190">better</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>The <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>of the <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="60">mourning</strongs>; but the <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>of <strongs number="3684">fools</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="8057">mirth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><em> It </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">better</strongs>to <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="1606">rebuke</strongs>of the <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs>, than for a <strongs number="4480 376">man</strongs>to <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="7892">song</strongs>of <strongs number="3684">fools</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>as the <strongs number="6963">crackling</strongs>of <strongs number="5518">thorns</strongs><strongs number="8478">under</strongs>a <strongs number="5518">pot</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7814">laughter</strongs>of the <strongs number="3684">fool</strongs>: <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1892">vanity</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='12'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6738">defense</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3701">money</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="6738">defense</strongs>: but the <strongs number="3504">excellency</strongs>of <strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs><em> is, </em><em> that </em><strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>giveth <strongs number="2421">life</strongs>to them that <strongs number="1167">have</strongs>it. </verse>
