      <verse number='3'>To <strongs number="3947">receive</strongs>the <strongs number="4148">instruction</strongs>of <strongs number="7919">wisdom</strongs>, <strongs number="6664">justice</strongs>, and <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>, and <strongs number="4339">equity</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='4'>To <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="6195">subtlety</strongs>to the <strongs number="6612">simple</strongs>, to the young <strongs number="5288">man</strongs><strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>and <strongs number="4209">discretion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>A <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> man </em>will <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>, and will <strongs number="3254">increase</strongs><strongs number="3948">learning</strongs>; and a man of <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs>shall <strongs number="7069">attain</strongs>unto wise <strongs number="8458">counsels</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='6'>To <strongs number="995">understand</strongs>a <strongs number="4912">proverb</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4426">interpretation</strongs>; the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs>, and their dark <strongs number="2420">sayings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>The <strongs number="3374">fear</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7225">beginning</strongs>of <strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>: <em> but </em><strongs number="191">fools</strongs><strongs number="936">despise</strongs><strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>and <strongs number="4148">instruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>My <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="4148">instruction</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, and <strongs number="5203">forsake</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>of thy <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='11'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>they <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">Come</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>us, let us lay <strongs number="693">wait</strongs>for <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>, let us lurk <strongs number="6845">privily</strongs>for the <strongs number="5355">innocent</strongs>without <strongs number="2600">cause</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='14'>Cast <strongs number="5307">in</strongs>thy <strongs number="1486">lot</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>us; let us <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="3599">purse</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>My <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>thou in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>them; <strongs number="4513">refrain</strongs>thy <strongs number="7272">foot</strongs>from their <strongs number="4480 5410">path</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>their <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs><strongs number="7323">run</strongs>to <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, and make <strongs number="4116">haste</strongs>to <strongs number="8210">shed</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3588">Surely</strongs>in <strongs number="2600">vain</strongs>the <strongs number="7568">net</strongs>is <strongs number="2219">spread</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">any</strongs><strongs number="1167 3671">bird</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>lay <strongs number="693">wait</strongs>for their <em> own </em><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>; they lurk <strongs number="6845">privily</strongs>for their <em> own </em><strongs number="5315">lives</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="3651">So</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="734">ways</strongs>of every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that is <strongs number="1214">greedy</strongs>of <strongs number="1215">gain</strongs>; <em> which </em>taketh <strongs number="3947">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>of the <strongs number="1167">owners</strongs>thereof. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="2454">Wisdom</strongs><strongs number="7442">crieth</strongs><strongs number="2351">without</strongs>; she <strongs number="5414">uttereth</strongs>her <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>in the <strongs number="7339">streets</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='21'>She <strongs number="7121">crieth</strongs>in the <strongs number="7218">chief</strongs>place of <strongs number="1993">concourse</strongs>, in the <strongs number="6607">openings</strongs>of the <strongs number="8179">gates</strongs>: in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>she <strongs number="559">uttereth</strongs>her <strongs number="561">words</strongs>, <em> saying </em>, </verse>
      <verse number='22'>How <strongs number="5704 4970">long</strongs>, ye simple <strongs number="6612">ones</strongs>, will ye <strongs number="157">love</strongs><strongs number="6612">simplicity</strongs>? and the <strongs number="3887">scorners</strongs><strongs number="2530">delight</strongs>in their <strongs number="3944">scorning</strongs>, and <strongs number="3684">fools</strongs><strongs number="8130">hate</strongs><strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="7725">Turn</strongs>you at my <strongs number="8433">reproof</strongs>: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I will pour <strongs number="5042">out</strongs>my <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>unto you, I will make <strongs number="3045">known</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>unto you. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="3282">Because</strongs>I have <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="3985">refused</strongs>; I have stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs>my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and no <strongs number="369">man</strongs><strongs number="7181">regarded</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='25'>But ye have set at <strongs number="6544">naught</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>, and <strongs number="14">would</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs>of my <strongs number="8433">reproof</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='26'><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>will <strongs number="7832">laugh</strongs>at your <strongs number="343">calamity</strongs>; I will <strongs number="3932">mock</strongs>when your <strongs number="6343">fear</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='27'>When your <strongs number="6343">fear</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs>as <strongs number="7722">desolation</strongs>, and your <strongs number="343">destruction</strongs><strongs number="857">cometh</strongs>as a <strongs number="5492">whirlwind</strongs>; when <strongs number="6869">distress</strongs>and <strongs number="6695">anguish</strongs><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='28'><strongs number="227">Then</strongs>shall they call <strongs number="7121">upon</strongs>me, but I will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6030">answer</strongs>; they shall seek me <strongs number="7836">early</strongs>, but they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4672">find</strongs>me: </verse>
      <verse number='29'>For <strongs number="8478 3588">that</strongs>they <strongs number="8130">hated</strongs><strongs number="1847">knowledge</strongs>, and did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="977">choose</strongs>the <strongs number="3374">fear</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='30'>They <strongs number="14">would</strongs><strongs number="3808">none</strongs>of my <strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>: they <strongs number="5006">despised</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="8433">reproof</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'>Therefore shall they <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 6529">fruit</strongs>of their own <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and be <strongs number="7646">filled</strongs>with their own <strongs number="4480 4156">devices</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the turning <strongs number="4878">away</strongs>of the <strongs number="6612">simple</strongs>shall <strongs number="2026">slay</strongs>them, and the <strongs number="7962">prosperity</strongs>of <strongs number="3684">fools</strongs>shall <strongs number="6">destroy</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='33'>But whoso <strongs number="8085">hearkeneth</strongs>unto me shall <strongs number="7931">dwell</strongs><strongs number="983">safely</strongs>, and shall be <strongs number="7599">quiet</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 6343">fear</strongs>of <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>. </verse>
