      <verse number='1'>Now when <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>had made an <strongs number="3615">end</strongs>of <strongs number="6419">praying</strongs>, the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8064">heaven</strongs>, and <strongs number="398">consumed</strongs>the burnt <strongs number="5930">offering</strongs>and the <strongs number="2077">sacrifices</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="4390">filled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs><strongs number="3201">could</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="935">enter</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="4390">filled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And when <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>how the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, they <strongs number="3766">bowed</strongs>themselves with their <strongs number="639">faces</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="7531">pavement</strongs>, and <strongs number="7812">worshiped</strongs>, and <strongs number="3034">praised</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="3588">For</strongs><em> he </em><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>his <strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs><em> endureth </em><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='5'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="2076">offered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>of <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs>and <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="1241">oxen</strongs>, and a <strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs>and <strongs number="6242">twenty</strongs><strongs number="505">thousand</strongs><strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>: so the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="2596">dedicated</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs><strongs number="5975">waited</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>their <strongs number="4931">offices</strongs>: the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>also with <strongs number="3627">instruments</strongs>of <strongs number="7892">music</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>to <strongs number="3034">praise</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>his <strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs><em> endureth </em><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>, when <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="1984">praised</strongs>by their <strongs number="3027">ministry</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs><strongs number="2690">sounded</strongs>trumpets <strongs number="5048">before</strongs>them, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Moreover <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="6942">hallowed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8432">middle</strongs>of the <strongs number="2691">court</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>he <strongs number="6213">offered</strongs>burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2459">fat</strongs>of the peace <strongs number="8002">offerings</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="5178">brazen</strongs><strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>had <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>was not <strongs number="3201 3808">able</strongs>to <strongs number="3557">receive</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>, and the meat <strongs number="4503">offerings</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2459">fat</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Also at the <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="6213">kept</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2282">feast</strongs><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him, a <strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs>, from the entering <strongs number="4480 935">in</strongs>of <strongs number="2574">Hamath</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="5158">river</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And in the <strongs number="8066">eighth</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>they <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>a solemn <strongs number="6116">assembly</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="6213">kept</strongs>the <strongs number="2598">dedication</strongs>of the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, and the <strongs number="2282">feast</strongs><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='11'>Thus <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="3615">finished</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>that <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5921">into</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>'s <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and in his own <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, he prosperously <strongs number="6743">effected</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, I have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs>, and have <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>to myself for a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="2077">sacrifice</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="2005">If</strongs>I shut <strongs number="6113">up</strongs><strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>that there <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>, or <strongs number="2005">if</strongs>I <strongs number="6680 5921">command</strongs>the <strongs number="2284">locusts</strongs>to <strongs number="398">devour</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, or <strongs number="518">if</strongs>I <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>among my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='14'>If my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>are <strongs number="7121 5921">called</strongs>by my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, shall humble <strongs number="3665">themselves</strongs>, and <strongs number="6419">pray</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>, and <strongs number="7725">turn</strongs>from their <strongs number="7451">wicked</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">ways</strongs>; then will <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and will <strongs number="5545">forgive</strongs>their <strongs number="2403">sin</strongs>, and will <strongs number="7495">heal</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="6605">open</strongs>, and mine <strongs number="241">ears</strongs><strongs number="7183">attent</strongs>unto the <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs><em> that </em><em> is </em><em> made </em>in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>For <strongs number="6258">now</strongs>have I <strongs number="977">chosen</strongs>and <strongs number="6942">sanctified</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, that my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>may <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>: and mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>and mine <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="3605 3117">perpetually</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And as for <strongs number="859">thee</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>thou wilt <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>me, <strongs number="834">as</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>according to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>thee, and shalt <strongs number="8104">observe</strongs>my <strongs number="2706">statutes</strongs>and my <strongs number="4941">judgments</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Then will I <strongs number="6965">establish</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of thy <strongs number="4438">kingdom</strongs>, according <strongs number="834">as</strongs>I have <strongs number="3772">covenanted</strongs>with <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, There shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3772">fail</strongs>thee a <strongs number="376">man</strongs><em> to </em><em> be </em><strongs number="4910">ruler</strongs>in <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="859">ye</strongs>turn <strongs number="7725">away</strongs>, and <strongs number="5800">forsake</strongs>my <strongs number="2708">statutes</strongs>and my <strongs number="4687">commandments</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="5414">set</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>you, and shall <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>and <strongs number="5647">serve</strongs><strongs number="312">other</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>, and <strongs number="7812">worship</strongs>them; </verse>
      <verse number='20'>Then will I pluck them up by the <strongs number="5428">roots</strongs>out <strongs number="4480 5921">of</strongs>my <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="5414">given</strongs>them; and <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I have <strongs number="6942">sanctified</strongs>for my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, will I cast <strongs number="7993">out</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">of</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">sight</strongs>, and will <strongs number="5414">make</strongs>it <em> to </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="4912">proverb</strongs>and a <strongs number="8148">byword</strongs>among <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="5971">nations</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1961">is</strongs><strongs number="5945">high</strongs>, shall be an <strongs number="8074">astonishment</strongs>to every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that <strongs number="5674">passeth</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>it; so that he shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">Why</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="3602">thus</strongs>unto <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and unto <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And it shall be <strongs number="559">answered</strongs>, <strongs number="5921 834">Because</strongs>they <strongs number="5800">forsook</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>brought them <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, and laid <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>on <strongs number="312">other</strongs><strongs number="430">gods</strongs>, and <strongs number="7812">worshiped</strongs>them, and <strongs number="5647">served</strongs>them: <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>hath he <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them. </verse>
