      <verse number='1'>And in the <strongs number="7637">seventh</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs><strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>strengthened <strongs number="2388">himself</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3395">Jeroham</strongs>, and <strongs number="3458">Ishmael</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3076">Jehohanan</strongs>, and <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5744">Obed</strongs>, and <strongs number="4641">Maaseiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5718">Adaiah</strongs>, and <strongs number="478">Elishaphat</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2147">Zichri</strongs>, into <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And they went <strongs number="5437">about</strongs>in <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="6908">gathered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7218">chief</strongs>of the <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and they <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6951">congregation</strongs><strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>shall <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="1696">said</strongs><strongs number="5921">of</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="1697">thing</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>ye shall <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>; A third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>you <strongs number="935">entering</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>, of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>and of the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, <em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="7778">porters</strongs>of the <strongs number="5592">doors</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And a third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>at the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>; and a third <strongs number="7992">part</strongs>at the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>of the <strongs number="3247">foundation</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>in the <strongs number="2691">courts</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>But let <strongs number="408">none</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">save</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, and they that <strongs number="8334">minister</strongs>of the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>; <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>shall go <strongs number="935">in</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="6944">holy</strongs>: but <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>the <strongs number="4931">watch</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>shall <strongs number="5362">compass</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>with his <strongs number="3627">weapons</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; and whosoever <em> else </em><strongs number="935">cometh</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, he shall be put to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>: but <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>ye <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>when he cometh <strongs number="935">in</strongs>, and when he goeth <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>So the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>according to all <strongs number="3605">things</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>had <strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>, and <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="376">men</strongs>that were to come <strongs number="935">in</strongs>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>, <strongs number="5973">with</strongs>them that were to <strongs number="3318">go</strongs><em> out </em>on the <strongs number="7676">sabbath</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="6362">dismissed</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4256">courses</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Moreover <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="5414">delivered</strongs>to the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2595">spears</strongs>, and <strongs number="4043">bucklers</strongs>, and <strongs number="7982">shields</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> had </em><em> been </em><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>'s, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And he <strongs number="5975">set</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>having his <strongs number="7973">weapon</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, from the <strongs number="3233">right</strongs><strongs number="4480 3802">side</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">temple</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="8042">left</strongs><strongs number="3802">side</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">temple</strongs>, along by the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>and the <strongs number="1004">temple</strongs>, <strongs number="5921">by</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Then they brought <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">put</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5145">crown</strongs>, and <em> gave </em><em> him </em>the <strongs number="5715">testimony</strongs>, and made him <strongs number="4427 *853">king</strongs>. And <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>and his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs>him, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, God <strongs number="2421">save</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Now when <strongs number="6271">Athaliah</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6963">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7323">running</strongs>and <strongs number="1984">praising</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, she <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And she <strongs number="7200">looked</strongs>, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>his <strongs number="5982">pillar</strongs>at the entering <strongs number="3996">in</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>and the <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>: and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="8056">rejoiced</strongs>, and <strongs number="8628">sounded</strongs>with <strongs number="2689">trumpets</strongs>, also the <strongs number="7891">singers</strongs>with <strongs number="3627">instruments</strongs>of <strongs number="7892">music</strongs>, and such as <strongs number="3045">taught</strongs>to sing <strongs number="1984">praise</strongs>.       <verse number='14'>Then <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>brought <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>that were set <strongs number="6485">over</strongs>the <strongs number="2428">host</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, Have her <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>of the <strongs number="413 4480 1004 7713">ranges</strongs>: and whoso <strongs number="935 310">followeth</strongs>her, let him be <strongs number="4191">slain</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. <strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="4191">Slay</strongs>her <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>So they <strongs number="7760">laid</strongs><strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>on her; and when she was <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="3996">entering</strongs>of the <strongs number="5483">horse</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>by the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, they <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs>her <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs><strongs number="3772">made</strongs>a <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>him, and <strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and <strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, that they should <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>Then <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>went <strongs number="935">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and broke it <strongs number="5422">down</strongs>, and broke his <strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>and his <strongs number="6754">images</strongs>in <strongs number="7665">pieces</strongs>, and <strongs number="2026">slew</strongs><strongs number="4977">Mattan</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>of <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Also <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs><strongs number="7760">appointed</strongs>the <strongs number="6486">offices</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>had <strongs number="2505">distributed</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, to <strongs number="5927">offer</strongs>the burnt <strongs number="5930">offerings</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, as <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="3789">written</strongs>in the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>of <strongs number="4872">Moses</strongs>, with <strongs number="8057">rejoicing</strongs>and with <strongs number="7892">singing</strongs>, <em> as </em><em> it </em><em> was </em><em> ordained </em><strongs number="5921 3027">by</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And he <strongs number="5975">set</strongs>the <strongs number="7778">porters</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="8179">gates</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that <strongs number="3808">none</strongs><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="2931">unclean</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">any</strongs><strongs number="1697">thing</strongs>should enter <strongs number="935">in</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And he <strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of <strongs number="3967">hundreds</strongs>, and the <strongs number="117">nobles</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4910">governors</strongs>of the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and brought <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 1004">house</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and they <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="8432">through</strongs>the <strongs number="5945">high</strongs><strongs number="8179">gate</strongs>into the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">set</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>. </verse>
