      <verse number='1'>Now <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs><strongs number="7901">slept</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, and was <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. And <strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs>his <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">stead</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And he had <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>, <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>, and <strongs number="3171">Jehiel</strongs>, and <strongs number="2148">Zechariah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5838">Azariah</strongs>, and <strongs number="4317">Michael</strongs>, and <strongs number="8203">Shephatiah</strongs>: <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> were </em>the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And their <strongs number="1">father</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>them <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="4979">gifts</strongs>of <strongs number="3701">silver</strongs>, and of <strongs number="2091">gold</strongs>, and of precious <strongs number="4030">things</strongs>, <strongs number="5973">with</strongs><strongs number="4694">fenced</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>in <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>: but the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs><strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>he to <strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> was </em>the <strongs number="1060">firstborn</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Now when <strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs>was risen <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, he strengthened <strongs number="2388">himself</strongs>, and <strongs number="2026">slew</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, and <em> divers </em><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs>and <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="1121">old</strongs>when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="8083">eight</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And he <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, like <strongs number="834">as</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he <strongs number="1961">had</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>: and he <strongs number="6213">wrought</strongs><em> that </em><em> which </em><em> was </em><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Howbeit the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="14">would</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, because <strongs number="4616">of</strongs>the <strongs number="1285">covenant</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="3772">made</strongs>with <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he <strongs number="559">promised</strongs>to <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>a <strongs number="5216">light</strongs>to him and to his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="3605 3117">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>In his <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>the <strongs number="123">Edomites</strongs><strongs number="6586">revolted</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">dominion</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and <strongs number="4427 5921">made</strongs>themselves a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then <strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs>went <strongs number="5674">forth</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>his <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>him: and he rose <strongs number="1961 6965">up</strongs>by <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>, and <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="123">Edomites</strongs>which <strongs number="5437 413">compassed</strongs>him in, and the <strongs number="8269">captains</strongs>of the <strongs number="7393">chariots</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>So the <strongs number="123">Edomites</strongs><strongs number="6586">revolted</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8478">under</strongs>the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. The <strongs number="1931">same</strongs><strongs number="6256">time</strongs><em> also </em>did <strongs number="3841">Libnah</strongs><strongs number="6586">revolt</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8478">under</strongs>his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>he had <strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="1571">Moreover</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs>high <strongs number="1116">places</strongs>in the <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and caused <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to commit <strongs number="2181">fornication</strongs>, and <strongs number="5080">compelled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs><em> thereto </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And there <strongs number="935">came</strongs>a <strongs number="4385">writing</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him from <strongs number="4480 452">Elijah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, <strongs number="8478 834">Because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>of <strongs number="3092">Jehoshaphat</strongs>thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, nor in the <strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>of <strongs number="609">Asa</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='13'>But hast <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs>in the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and hast made <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to go a <strongs number="2181">whoring</strongs>, like to the <strongs number="2181">whoredoms</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="256">Ahab</strongs>, and <strongs number="1571">also</strongs>hast <strongs number="2026">slain</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="251">brethren</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1">father</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <em> which </em><em> were </em><strongs number="2896">better</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>thyself: </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, with a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="4046">plague</strongs>will the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5062">smite</strongs>thy <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and thy <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>, and thy <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>thy <strongs number="7399">goods</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And <strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> shalt </em><em> have </em><strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="2483">sickness</strongs>by <strongs number="4245">disease</strongs>of thy <strongs number="4578">bowels</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>thy <strongs number="4578">bowels</strongs>fall <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>by reason <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="2483">sickness</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>Moreover the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>stirred <strongs number="5782">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="3088">Jehoram</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>, and of the <strongs number="6163">Arabians</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="5921 3027">near</strongs>the <strongs number="3569">Ethiopians</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And they came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>into <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and broke <strongs number="1234">into</strongs>it, and carried <strongs number="7617">away</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7399">substance</strongs>that was <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>in the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs>, and his <strongs number="802">wives</strongs>; so that there was <strongs number="3808">never</strongs>a <strongs number="1121">son</strongs><strongs number="7604">left</strongs>him, <strongs number="3588 518">save</strongs><strongs number="3059">Jehoahaz</strongs>, the <strongs number="6996">youngest</strongs>of his <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5062">smote</strongs>him in his <strongs number="4578">bowels</strongs>with an <strongs number="369 4832">incurable</strongs><strongs number="2483">disease</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, that in process of <strongs number="3117 4480 3117">time</strongs>, after the <strongs number="6256 3318 7093">end</strongs>of <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="3117">years</strongs>, his <strongs number="4578">bowels</strongs>fell <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>by reason <strongs number="5973">of</strongs>his <strongs number="2483">sickness</strongs>: so he <strongs number="4191">died</strongs>of <strongs number="7451">sore</strongs><strongs number="8463">diseases</strongs>. And his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="6213">made</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="8316">burning</strongs>for him, like the <strongs number="8316">burning</strongs>of his <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="7970">Thirty</strongs>and <strongs number="8147">two</strongs>years <strongs number="1121">old</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>he when he began to <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="8083">eight</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">departed</strongs><strongs number="3808">without</strongs>being <strongs number="2532">desired</strongs>. Howbeit they <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>him in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, but <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in the <strongs number="6913">sepulchers</strongs>of the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>. </verse>
