<verse number='1'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>would take <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>into <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>by a <strongs number="5591">whirlwind</strongs>, that <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>with <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs><strongs number="1537">Gilgal</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='2'>And <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>, <strongs number="3427">Tarry</strongs><strongs number="6311">here</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>me <strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="1008">Bethel</strongs>. And <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><em> unto </em><em> him, </em><em> As </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="2416">liveth</strongs>, and <em> as </em>thy <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs><strongs number="2416">liveth</strongs>, I will <strongs number="518">not</strongs><strongs number="5800">leave</strongs>thee. And <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, let a <strongs number="8147">double</strongs><strongs number="6310">portion</strongs>of thy <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>me. </verse>

<verse number='10'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Thou hast <strongs number="7592">asked</strongs>a hard <strongs number="7185">thing</strongs>: <em> nevertheless </em>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>thou <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>me <em> when </em><em> I </em><em> am </em><strongs number="3947">taken</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>thee, it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="3651">so</strongs>unto thee; but <strongs number="518">if</strongs><strongs number="369">not</strongs>, it shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs><em> so </em>. </verse>

<verse number='11'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as <strongs number="1992">they</strongs>still went <strongs number="1980">on</strongs>, and <strongs number="1696">talked</strongs>, that, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> appeared </em>a <strongs number="7393">chariot</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>of <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and <strongs number="6504">parted</strongs>them <strongs number="8147">both</strongs><strongs number="996">asunder</strongs>; and <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>by a <strongs number="5591">whirlwind</strongs>into <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='12'>And <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><em> it </em>, and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="6817">cried</strongs>, My <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, the <strongs number="7393">chariot</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6571">horsemen</strongs>thereof. And he <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs>: and he took <strongs number="2388">hold</strongs>of his own <strongs number="899">clothes</strongs>, and <strongs number="7167">rent</strongs>them in <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="7168">pieces</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='15'>And when the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> were </em>to <strongs number="4480 5048">view</strongs>at <strongs number="3405">Jericho</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>him, they <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, The <strongs number="7307">spirit</strongs>of <strongs number="452">Elijah</strongs>doth <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs><strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>. And they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs>him, and bowed <strongs number="7812">themselves</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>before him. </verse>

<verse number='16'>And they <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs>, there <strongs number="3426">be</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><strongs number="2572">fifty</strongs><strongs number="1121 2428">strong</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>; let them <strongs number="1980">go</strongs>, we pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="113">master</strongs>: lest <strongs number="6435">peradventure</strongs>the <strongs number="7307">Spirit</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath taken him <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs>him upon <strongs number="259">some</strongs><strongs number="2022">mountain</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs>into <strongs number="259">some</strongs><strongs number="1516">valley</strongs>. And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Ye shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7971">send</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='17'>And when they <strongs number="6484">urged</strongs>him <strongs number="5704">till</strongs>he was <strongs number="954">ashamed</strongs>, he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="7971">Send</strongs>. They <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>therefore <strongs number="2572">fifty</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>; and they <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>, but <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='18'>And when they came <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him, (for <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="3427">tarried</strongs>at <strongs number="3405">Jericho</strongs>,) he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, Did I <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>you, <strongs number="1980">Go</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>? </verse>

<verse number='19'>And the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, the <strongs number="4186">situation</strongs>of this <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">pleasant</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs><strongs number="7200">seeth</strongs>: but the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7451">naught</strongs>, and the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs><strongs number="7921">barren</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='20'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3947">Bring</strongs>me a <strongs number="2319">new</strongs><strongs number="6746">cruse</strongs>, and <strongs number="7760">put</strongs><strongs number="4417">salt</strongs><strongs number="8033">therein</strongs>. And they <strongs number="3947">brought</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="413">to</strongs>him. </verse>

<verse number='21'>And he went <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4161">spring</strongs>of the <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, and <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs>the <strongs number="4417">salt</strongs>in <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I have <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>; there shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs>any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="4194">death</strongs>or <strongs number="7921">barren</strongs><em> land </em>. </verse>

<verse number='22'>So the <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>were <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, according to the <strongs number="1697">saying</strongs>of <strongs number="477">Elisha</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>. </verse>

And there came <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="8147">two</strongs>she <strongs number="1677">bears</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3293">wood</strongs>, and <strongs number="1234">tore</strongs><strongs number="705">forty</strongs>and <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="3206">children</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them. </verse>
