      <verse number='6'><strongs number="6213">Do</strongs>therefore according to thy <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>, and let <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>his hoar <strongs number="7872">head</strongs>go <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to the <strongs number="7585">grave</strongs>in <strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>But <strongs number="6213">show</strongs><strongs number="2617">kindness</strongs>unto the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="1271">Barzillai</strongs>the <strongs number="1569">Gileadite</strongs>, and let them <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>of those that <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>at thy <strongs number="7979">table</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3651">so</strongs>they <strongs number="7126">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>me when I <strongs number="1272">fled</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of <strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs>thy <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> thou </em><em> hast </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="1617">Gera</strongs>, a <strongs number="1145">Benjamite</strongs>of <strongs number="4480 980">Bahurim</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">which</strongs><strongs number="7043">cursed</strongs>me with a <strongs number="4834">grievous</strongs><strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>when I <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="4266">Mahanaim</strongs>: but <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>came <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs>me at <strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>, and I <strongs number="7650">swore</strongs>to him by the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, I will <strongs number="518">not</strongs>put thee to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>with the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='11'>And the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="705">forty</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>: <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>he in <strongs number="2275">Hebron</strongs>, and <strongs number="7970">thirty</strongs>and <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs><strongs number="4427">reigned</strongs>he in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Then <strongs number="3427">sat</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>; and his <strongs number="4438">kingdom</strongs>was <strongs number="3559">established</strongs><strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="2294">Haggith</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1339">Bath</strongs>-sheba the <strongs number="517">mother</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. And she <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="935">Comest</strongs>thou <strongs number="7965">peaceably</strongs>? And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="7965">Peaceably</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>He <strongs number="559">said</strongs>moreover, I have somewhat to <strongs number="1697">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>thee. And she <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Say <strongs number="1696">on</strongs>. </verse>

And she <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, Say <strongs number="1696">on</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="559">Speak</strongs>, I pray <strongs number="4994">thee</strongs>, unto <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, ( <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>he will <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>say thee <strongs number="7725 *853 6440">nay</strongs>,) that he <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>me <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="49">Abishag</strongs>the <strongs number="7767">Shunammite</strongs>to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And <strongs number="1339">Bath</strongs>-sheba <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2896">Well</strongs>; <strongs number="595">I</strongs>will <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>thee <strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="1339">Bath</strongs>-sheba therefore <strongs number="935">went</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>, to <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>unto him <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>.       <verse number='23'>Then <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="7650">swore</strongs>by the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="3541">so</strongs>to me, and <strongs number="3254">more</strongs><strongs number="3541">also</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">if</strongs><strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>have not <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">word</strongs>against his own <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore, <em> as </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="2416">liveth</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>hath <strongs number="3559">established</strongs>me, and <strongs number="3427">set</strongs>me <strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>, and <strongs number="834">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>me a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, <strongs number="834">as</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">promised</strongs>, <strongs number="138">Adonijah</strongs>shall be put to <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>this <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>by the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>; and he <strongs number="6293">fell</strongs>upon him that he <strongs number="4191">died</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='27'>So <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>thrust <strongs number="1644">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="54">Abiathar</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1961">being</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; that he might <strongs number="4390">fulfill</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="5941">Eli</strongs>in <strongs number="7887">Shiloh</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='29'>And it was <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="3097">Joab</strongs>was <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="168">tabernacle</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <em> he </em><em> is </em><strongs number="681">by</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altar</strongs>.       <verse number='31'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="6213">Do</strongs><strongs number="834">as</strongs>he hath <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>, and <strongs number="6293">fall</strongs>upon him, and <strongs number="6912">bury</strongs>him; that thou mayest take <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>the <strongs number="2600">innocent</strongs><strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3097">Joab</strongs><strongs number="8210">shed</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>me, and <strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='33'>Their <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>shall therefore <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>upon the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>of <strongs number="3097">Joab</strongs>, and upon the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>of his <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs><strongs number="5769">forever</strongs>: but upon <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and upon his <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>, and upon his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and upon his <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>, shall there <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs><strongs number="4480 5973">from</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>So <strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="6293">fell</strongs>upon him, and <strongs number="4191">slew</strongs>him: and he was <strongs number="6912">buried</strongs>in his own <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='35'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5414">put</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>in his <strongs number="8478">room</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>: and <strongs number="6659">Zadok</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>did the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5414">put</strongs>in the <strongs number="8478">room</strongs>of <strongs number="54">Abiathar</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>for <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, <strongs number="1129">Build</strongs>thee a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, and go not <strongs number="3808 3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="4480 8033">thence</strongs><strongs number="575">any</strongs><strongs number="575">whither</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>For it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <em> that </em>on the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>thou goest <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, and passest <strongs number="5674">over</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="5158">brook</strongs><strongs number="6939">Kidron</strongs>, thou shalt <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>for <strongs number="3045">certain</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou shalt surely <strongs number="4191 4191">die</strongs>: thy <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>upon thine own <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>And <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>, The <strongs number="1697">saying</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>: <strongs number="834">as</strongs>my <strongs number="113">lord</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>hath <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>will thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="6213">do</strongs>. And <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwelt</strongs>in <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='39'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 7093">end</strongs>of <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="8141">years</strongs>, that <strongs number="8147">two</strongs>of the <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>of <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>ran <strongs number="1272">away</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="397">Achish</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4601">Maachah</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>. And they <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, thy <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs><em> be </em>in <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='40'>And <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs><strongs number="6965">arose</strongs>, and <strongs number="2280">saddled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="2543">ass</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">went</strongs>to <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="397">Achish</strongs>to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>: and <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">brought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5650">servants</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1661">Gath</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='41'>And it was <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>had <strongs number="1980">gone</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>to <strongs number="1661">Gath</strongs>, and was come <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='42'>And the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>and <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>for <strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, Did I <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>make thee to <strongs number="7650">swear</strongs>by the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="5749">protested</strongs>unto thee, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Know for a <strongs number="3045 3045">certain</strongs>, on the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>thou goest <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, and walkest <strongs number="1980">abroad</strongs><strongs number="575">any</strongs><strongs number="575">whither</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs>thou shalt surely <strongs number="4191 4191">die</strongs>? and thou <strongs number="559">saidst</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, The <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><em> that </em>I have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='43'><strongs number="4069">Why</strongs>then hast thou <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8104">kept</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7621">oath</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4687">commandment</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I have <strongs number="6680">charged</strongs><strongs number="5921">thee</strongs>with? </verse>
      <verse number='44'>The <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>moreover <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8096">Shimei</strongs>, <strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><strongs number="3045">knowest</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>thine <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>is privy <strongs number="3045">to</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>thou <strongs number="6213">didst</strongs>to <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>my <strongs number="1">father</strongs>: therefore the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>upon thine own <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='45'>And <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3678">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="3559">established</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5704 5769">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='46'>So the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1141">Benaiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3077">Jehoiada</strongs>; which went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>, and <strongs number="6293">fell</strongs>upon him, that he <strongs number="4191">died</strongs>. And the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>was <strongs number="3559">established</strongs>in the <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="8010">Solomon</strongs>. </verse>
