      <verse number='1'>And <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>was brought <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>to <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>; and <strongs number="6318">Potiphar</strongs>, an <strongs number="5631">officer</strongs>of <strongs number="6547">Pharaoh</strongs>, <strongs number="8269">captain</strongs>of the <strongs number="2876">guard</strongs>, an <strongs number="376 4713">Egyptian</strongs>, <strongs number="7069">bought</strongs>him of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hands</strongs>of the <strongs number="3459">Ishmaelites</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>had brought him <strongs number="3381">down</strongs><strongs number="8033">thither</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>, and he <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="6743">prosperous</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>; and he <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of his <strongs number="113">master</strongs>the <strongs number="4713">Egyptian</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And his <strongs number="113">master</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, and that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>made <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>to <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="4672">found</strongs><strongs number="2580">grace</strongs>in his <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>, and he <strongs number="8334">served</strongs>him: and he made him <strongs number="6485">overseer</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> that </em>he <strongs number="3426">had</strongs>he <strongs number="5414">put</strongs>into his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 227">time</strongs><em> that </em>he had made him <strongs number="6485 *853">overseer</strongs>in his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="3426">had</strongs>, that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1288">blessed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4713">Egyptian</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>for Joseph's <strongs number="1558 3130">sake</strongs>; and the <strongs number="1293">blessing</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>upon <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="3426">had</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And he <strongs number="5800">left</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he had in <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>'s <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; and he <strongs number="3045">knew</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3972">aught</strongs>he <strongs number="854">had</strongs>, <strongs number="3588 518">save</strongs>the <strongs number="3899">bread</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs>did <strongs number="398">eat</strongs>. And <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><em> a </em><strongs number="3303 8389">goodly</strongs><em> person </em>, and <strongs number="3303">well</strongs><strongs number="4758">favored</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">things</strongs>, that his <strongs number="113">master</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs><strongs number="5375">cast</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs><strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>; and she <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="7901">Lie</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>But he <strongs number="3985">refused</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>his <strongs number="113">master</strongs>'s <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, <strongs number="2005">Behold</strongs>, my <strongs number="113">master</strongs><strongs number="3045">knoweth</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4100">what</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>me in the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and he hath <strongs number="5414">committed</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>he <strongs number="3426">hath</strongs>to my <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='9'><em> There </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs><strongs number="1419">greater</strongs>in <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>I; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>hath he kept <strongs number="2820">back</strongs>any <strongs number="3972">thing</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>me <strongs number="3588 518">but</strongs>thee, <strongs number="834">because</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> art </em>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>: <strongs number="349">how</strongs>then can I <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>, and <strongs number="2398">sin</strongs>against <strongs number="430">God</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as she <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>by <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>, that he <strongs number="8085">hearkened</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her, to <strongs number="7901">lie</strongs><strongs number="681">by</strongs>her, <em> or </em>to <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>her. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>about <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="3117">time</strongs>, that <em> Joseph </em><strongs number="935">went</strongs>into the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>to <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>his <strongs number="4399">business</strongs>; and <em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="369 376">none</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 376">men</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs><strongs number="1004">within</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And she <strongs number="8610">caught</strongs>him by his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="7901">Lie</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me: and he <strongs number="5800">left</strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs>in her <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs>, and <strongs number="3318">got</strongs>him <strongs number="2351">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when she <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>he had <strongs number="5800">left</strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs>in her <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and was <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs><strongs number="2351">forth</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='14'>That she <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>unto the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of her <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">spoke</strongs>unto them, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="7200">See</strongs>, he hath brought <strongs number="935">in</strongs>a <strongs number="376 5680">Hebrew</strongs>unto us to <strongs number="6711">mock</strongs>us; he came <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me to <strongs number="7901">lie</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me, and I <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>with a <strongs number="1419">loud</strongs><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when he <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>I lifted <strongs number="7311">up</strongs>my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>and <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, that he <strongs number="5800">left</strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs><strongs number="681">with</strongs>me, and <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs>, and <strongs number="3318">got</strongs>him <strongs number="2351">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And she laid <strongs number="5117">up</strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs><strongs number="681">by</strongs>her, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>his <strongs number="113">lord</strongs><strongs number="935 413">came</strongs><strongs number="1004">home</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And she <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him according to <strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, The <strongs number="5680">Hebrew</strongs><strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>unto us, came <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me to <strongs number="6711">mock</strongs>me: </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, as I lifted <strongs number="7311">up</strongs>my <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>and <strongs number="7121">cried</strongs>, that he <strongs number="5800">left</strongs>his <strongs number="899">garment</strongs><strongs number="681">with</strongs>me, and <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs><strongs number="2351">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when his <strongs number="113">master</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>she <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, After <strongs number="428">this</strongs><strongs number="1697">manner</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>thy <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs>to me; that his <strongs number="639">wrath</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">kindled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>And <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>'s <strongs number="113">master</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs>him, and <strongs number="5414">put</strongs>him <strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs>, a <strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="834">where</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="615">prisoners</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="631">bound</strongs>: and he <strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>But the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>, and <strongs number="5186 413">showed</strongs>him <strongs number="2617">mercy</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>him <strongs number="2580">favor</strongs>in the <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>of the <strongs number="8269">keeper</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>And the <strongs number="8269">keeper</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs><strongs number="5414">committed</strongs>to <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>'s <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="615">prisoners</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> were </em>in the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs>; and <strongs number="3605 834">whatsoever</strongs>they <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs>the <strongs number="6213">doer</strongs><em> of </em><em> it </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>The <strongs number="8269">keeper</strongs>of the <strongs number="1004 5470">prison</strongs><strongs number="7200">looked</strongs><strongs number="369">not</strongs>to <strongs number="*853"></strongs>any <strongs number="3605 3972">thing</strongs><em> that </em><em> was </em>under his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; <strongs number="834">because</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>was <strongs number="854">with</strongs>him, and <em> that </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>, the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>made <em> it </em>to <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>. </verse>
