      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>there <strongs number="1096">were</strongs>false <strongs number="5578">prophets</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs><strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2992">people</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">even</strongs><strongs number="5613">as</strongs>there shall <strongs number="2071">be</strongs>false <strongs number="5572">teachers</strongs><strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs>, <strongs number="3748">who</strongs>privily shall bring <strongs number="3919">in</strongs><strongs number="684">damnable</strongs><strongs number="139">heresies</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">even</strongs><strongs number="720">denying</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="1203">Lord</strongs>that <strongs number="59">bought</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>, and bring <strongs number="1863">upon</strongs><strongs number="1438">themselves</strongs><strongs number="5031">swift</strongs><strongs number="684">destruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="4183">many</strongs>shall <strongs number="1811">follow</strongs><strongs number="846">their</strongs>pernicious <strongs number="684">ways</strongs>; by reason <strongs number="1223">of</strongs><strongs number="3739">whom</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3598">way</strongs>of <strongs number="225">truth</strongs>shall be evil spoken <strongs number="987">of</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="1722">through</strongs><strongs number="4124">covetousness</strongs>shall they with <strongs number="4112">feigned</strongs><strongs number="3056">words</strongs>make <strongs number="1710">merchandise</strongs>of <strongs number="5209">you</strongs>: <strongs number="3739">whose</strongs><strongs number="2917">judgment</strongs>now of a long <strongs number="1597">time</strongs><strongs number="691">lingereth</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="846">their</strongs><strongs number="684">damnation</strongs><strongs number="3573">slumbereth</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="5339">spared</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>the <strongs number="32">angels</strongs>that <strongs number="264">sinned</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs>cast <em> them </em>down to <strongs number="5020">hell</strongs>, and <strongs number="3860">delivered</strongs><em> them </em>into <strongs number="4577">chains</strongs>of <strongs number="2217">darkness</strongs>, to be <strongs number="5083">reserved</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="2920">judgment</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="5339">spared</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs>the <strongs number="744">old</strongs><strongs number="2889">world</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="5442">saved</strongs><strongs number="3575">Noah</strongs>the <strongs number="3590">eighth</strongs><em> person, </em>a <strongs number="2783">preacher</strongs>of <strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>, bringing <strongs number="1863">in</strongs>the <strongs number="2627">flood</strongs>upon the <strongs number="2889">world</strongs>of the <strongs number="765">ungodly</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into <strongs number="5077 4172 4670 2532 1116">ashes</strongs><strongs number="2632">condemned</strongs><em> them </em>with an <strongs number="2692">overthrow</strongs>, <strongs number="5087">making</strongs><em> them </em>an <strongs number="5262">example</strongs>unto those that after <strongs number="3195">should</strongs>live <strongs number="764">ungodly</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="4506">delivered</strongs><strongs number="1342">just</strongs><strongs number="3091">Lot</strongs>, <strongs number="2669">vexed</strongs><strongs number="5259">with</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs>filthy <strongs number="1722 766 391">conversation</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="113">wicked</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='9'>The <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="1492">knoweth</strongs>how to <strongs number="4506">deliver</strongs>the <strongs number="2152">godly</strongs>out <strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="3986">temptations</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">and</strongs>to <strongs number="5083">reserve</strongs>the <strongs number="94">unjust</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2250">day</strongs>of <strongs number="2920">judgment</strongs>to be <strongs number="2849">punished</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3122">chiefly</strongs>them that <strongs number="4198">walk</strongs><strongs number="3694">after</strongs>the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the <strongs number="1939">lust</strongs>of <strongs number="3394">uncleanness</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2706">despise</strongs><strongs number="2963">government</strongs>. <strongs number="5113">Presumptuous</strongs><em> are </em><em> they, </em><strongs number="829">self</strongs>-willed, they are <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="5141">afraid</strongs>to speak <strongs number="987">evil</strongs>of <strongs number="1391">dignities</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3699">Whereas</strongs><strongs number="32">angels</strongs>, which <strongs number="5607">are</strongs><strongs number="3187">greater</strongs>in <strongs number="2479">power</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="1411">might</strongs>, <strongs number="5342">bring</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="989">railing</strongs><strongs number="2920">accusation</strongs><strongs number="2596">against</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="3844">before</strongs>the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="3778">these</strongs>, <strongs number="5613">as</strongs><strongs number="5446">natural</strongs><strongs number="249">brute</strongs><strongs number="2226">beasts</strongs>, <strongs number="1080">made</strongs>to be <strongs number="1519 259">taken</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="5356">destroyed</strongs>, speak <strongs number="987">evil</strongs><strongs number="1722">of</strongs>the things <strongs number="3739">that</strongs>they understand <strongs number="50">not</strongs>; and shall utterly <strongs number="2704">perish</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>their <strongs number="848">own</strongs><strongs number="5356">corruption</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And shall <strongs number="2865">receive</strongs>the <strongs number="3408">reward</strongs>of <strongs number="93">unrighteousness</strongs>, <em> as </em>they that <strongs number="2233">count</strongs>it <strongs number="2237">pleasure</strongs>to <strongs number="5172">riot</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the day <strongs number="2250">time</strongs>. <strongs number="4695">Spots</strongs><em> they </em><em> are </em><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3470">blemishes</strongs>, sporting <strongs number="1792">themselves</strongs><strongs number="1722">with</strongs>their <strongs number="848">own</strongs><strongs number="539">deceivings</strongs>while they <strongs number="4910">feast</strongs>with <strongs number="5213">you</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='14'><strongs number="2192">Having</strongs><strongs number="3788">eyes</strongs><strongs number="3324">full</strongs>of <strongs number="3428">adultery</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>that cannot <strongs number="180">cease</strongs>from <strongs number="266">sin</strongs>; <strongs number="1185">beguiling</strongs><strongs number="793">unstable</strongs><strongs number="5590">souls</strongs>: a <strongs number="2588">heart</strongs>they <strongs number="2192">have</strongs><strongs number="1128">exercised</strongs>with covetous <strongs number="4124">practices</strongs>; <strongs number="2671">cursed</strongs><strongs number="5043">children</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='15'>Which have <strongs number="2641">forsaken</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2117">right</strongs><strongs number="3598">way</strongs>, and are gone <strongs number="4105">astray</strongs>, <strongs number="1811">following</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3598">way</strongs>of <strongs number="903">Balaam</strongs><em> the </em><em> son </em>of <strongs number="1007">Bosor</strongs>, <strongs number="3739">who</strongs><strongs number="25">loved</strongs>the <strongs number="3408">wages</strongs>of <strongs number="93">unrighteousness</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>was <strongs number="2192 1649">rebuked</strongs>for <strongs number="2398">his</strongs><strongs number="3892">iniquity</strongs>: the <strongs number="880">dumb</strongs><strongs number="5268">ass</strongs><strongs number="5350">speaking</strongs><strongs number="1722">with</strongs><strongs number="444">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="5456">voice</strongs><strongs number="2967">forbade</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3913">madness</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4396">prophet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3778">These</strongs><strongs number="1526">are</strongs><strongs number="4077">wells</strongs>without <strongs number="504">water</strongs>, <strongs number="3507">clouds</strongs>that are <strongs number="1643">carried</strongs><strongs number="5259">with</strongs>a <strongs number="2978">tempest</strongs>: to <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2217">mist</strongs>of <strongs number="4655">darkness</strongs>is <strongs number="5083">reserved</strongs><strongs number="1519 165">forever</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>when they <strongs number="5350">speak</strongs>great <strongs number="5246">swelling</strongs><em> words </em>of <strongs number="3153">vanity</strongs>, they <strongs number="1185">allure</strongs><strongs number="1722">through</strongs>the <strongs number="1939">lusts</strongs>of the <strongs number="4561">flesh</strongs>, <em> through </em><em> much </em><strongs number="766">wantonness</strongs>, those that were clean <strongs number="668 3689">escaped</strongs>from them who <strongs number="390">live</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs><strongs number="4106">error</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>While they <strongs number="1861">promise</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="1657">liberty</strongs>, <strongs number="846">they</strongs>themselves <strongs number="5225">are</strongs>the <strongs number="1401">servants</strongs>of <strongs number="5356">corruption</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>of <strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>a <strongs number="5100">man</strongs>is <strongs number="2274">overcome</strongs>, of the <strongs number="5129">same</strongs>is <strongs number="*2532">he</strongs>brought in <strongs number="1402">bondage</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="1487">if</strongs>after they have <strongs number="668">escaped</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3393">pollutions</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2889">world</strongs><strongs number="1722">through</strongs>the <strongs number="1922">knowledge</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="4990">Savior</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>, they <strongs number="*1161">are</strongs><strongs number="3825">again</strongs><strongs number="1707">entangled</strongs><strongs number="5125">therein</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2274">overcome</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">the</strongs>latter <strongs number="2078">end</strongs><strongs number="1096">is</strongs><strongs number="5501">worse</strongs>with <strongs number="846">them</strongs>than <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4413">beginning</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>it had <strongs number="2258">been</strongs><strongs number="2909">better</strongs>for <strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>to have <strongs number="1921">known</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3598">way</strongs>of <strongs number="1343">righteousness</strongs>, <strongs number="2228">than</strongs>, after they have <strongs number="1921">known</strongs><em> it, </em>to <strongs number="1994">turn</strongs><strongs number="1537">from</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="40">holy</strongs><strongs number="1785">commandment</strongs><strongs number="3860">delivered</strongs>unto <strongs number="846">them</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs>it is <strongs number="4819">happened</strongs>unto <strongs number="846">them</strongs><strongs number="*3588">according</strongs>to <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="227">true</strongs><strongs number="3942">proverb</strongs>, The <strongs number="2965">dog</strongs><em> is </em>turned to his own vomit <strongs number="1994 1909 2398 1829">again</strongs>; <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>the <strongs number="5300">sow</strongs>that was <strongs number="3068">washed</strongs><strongs number="1519">to</strongs>her <strongs number="2946">wallowing</strongs>in the <strongs number="1004">mire</strongs>. </verse>
