      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="4245">elders</strongs><strongs number="3588">which</strongs>are <strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs>I <strongs number="3870">exhort</strongs>, who am also an <strongs number="4850">elder</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>a <strongs number="3144">witness</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3804">sufferings</strongs>of <strongs number="5547">Christ</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>also a <strongs number="2844">partaker</strongs>of the <strongs number="1391">glory</strongs>that <strongs number="3195">shall</strongs>be <strongs number="601">revealed</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="4165">Feed</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4168">flock</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>which is <strongs number="1722">among</strongs><strongs number="5213">you</strongs>, taking the <strongs number="1983">oversight</strongs><em> thereof, </em><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>by <strongs number="317">constraint</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="1596">willingly</strongs>; <strongs number="3366">not</strongs>for filthy <strongs number="147">lucre</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs>of a ready <strongs number="4290">mind</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3366">Neither</strongs><strongs number="5613">as</strongs>being lords <strongs number="2634">over</strongs><em> God's </em><strongs number="2819">heritage</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="1096">being</strongs><strongs number="5179">examples</strongs>to <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4168">flock</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>when <strongs number="3588">the</strongs>chief <strongs number="750">Shepherd</strongs>shall <strongs number="5319">appear</strongs>, ye shall <strongs number="2865">receive</strongs>a <strongs number="4735">crown</strongs>of <strongs number="1391">glory</strongs>that fadeth not <strongs number="262">away</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3668">Likewise</strongs>, ye <strongs number="3501">younger</strongs>, submit <strongs number="5293">yourselves</strongs>unto the <strongs number="4245">elder</strongs>. <strongs number="1161">Yea</strongs>, <strongs number="3956">all</strongs><em> of </em><em> you </em>be <strongs number="5293">subject</strongs>one to <strongs number="240">another</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>be clothed <strongs number="1463">with</strongs><strongs number="5012">humility</strongs>: <strongs number="3754">for</strongs><strongs number="2316">God</strongs><strongs number="498">resisteth</strongs>the <strongs number="5244">proud</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">and</strongs><strongs number="1325">giveth</strongs><strongs number="5485">grace</strongs>to the <strongs number="5011">humble</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Humble <strongs number="5013">yourselves</strongs><strongs number="3767">therefore</strongs><strongs number="5259">under</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2900">mighty</strongs><strongs number="5495">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>, <strongs number="2443">that</strongs>he may <strongs number="5312">exalt</strongs><strongs number="5209">you</strongs><strongs number="1722">in</strongs>due <strongs number="2540">time</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="1977">Casting</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs><strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="3308">care</strongs><strongs number="1909">upon</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>; <strongs number="3754">for</strongs><strongs number="846">he</strongs><strongs number="3199">careth</strongs><strongs number="4012">for</strongs><strongs number="5216">you</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Be <strongs number="3525">sober</strongs>, be <strongs number="1127">vigilant</strongs>; <strongs number="3754">because</strongs><strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="476">adversary</strongs>the <strongs number="1228">devil</strongs>, <strongs number="5613">as</strongs>a <strongs number="5612">roaring</strongs><strongs number="3023">lion</strongs>, walketh <strongs number="4043">about</strongs>, <strongs number="2212">seeking</strongs><strongs number="5101">whom</strongs>he may <strongs number="2666">devour</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='9'><strongs number="3739">Whom</strongs><strongs number="436">resist</strongs><strongs number="4731">steadfast</strongs>in <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>, <strongs number="1492">knowing</strongs>that <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="846">same</strongs><strongs number="3804">afflictions</strongs>are <strongs number="2005">accomplished</strongs>in <strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="81">brethren</strongs>that are <strongs number="1722">in</strongs>the <strongs number="2889">world</strongs>. </verse>
