      <verse number='1'><strongs number="5105">Wherefore</strongs>seeing <strongs number="2249">we</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>are compassed <strongs number="*4029">about</strongs><strongs number="*2254">with</strongs>so <strongs number="5118">great</strongs>a <strongs number="3509">cloud</strongs>of <strongs number="3144">witnesses</strongs>, let us lay <strongs number="659">aside</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="3591">weight</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>the <strongs number="266">sin</strongs>which doth so easily <strongs number="2139">beset</strongs><em> us, </em><strongs number="2532">and</strongs>let us <strongs number="5143">run</strongs><strongs number="1223">with</strongs><strongs number="5281">patience</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="73">race</strongs>that is set <strongs number="4295">before</strongs><strongs number="2254">us</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="872">Looking</strongs><strongs number="1519">unto</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="747">author</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="5051">finisher</strongs>of <em> our </em><strongs number="4102">faith</strongs>; <strongs number="3739">who</strongs><strongs number="473">for</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5479">joy</strongs>that was set <strongs number="4295">before</strongs><strongs number="848">him</strongs><strongs number="5278">endured</strongs>the <strongs number="4716">cross</strongs>, <strongs number="2706">despising</strongs>the <strongs number="152">shame</strongs>, <strongs number="5037">and</strongs>is set <strongs number="2523">down</strongs><strongs number="1722">at</strongs>the right <strongs number="1188">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2362">throne</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="357">consider</strongs>him that <strongs number="5278">endured</strongs><strongs number="5108">such</strongs><strongs number="485">contradiction</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="268">sinners</strongs><strongs number="1519">against</strongs><strongs number="848">himself</strongs>, <strongs number="3363">lest</strongs>ye be <strongs number="2577">wearied</strongs>and <strongs number="1590">faint</strongs>in <strongs number="5216">your</strongs><strongs number="5590">minds</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Ye have not <strongs number="3768">yet</strongs><strongs number="478">resisted</strongs><strongs number="3360">unto</strongs><strongs number="129">blood</strongs>, <strongs number="464">striving</strongs><strongs number="4314">against</strongs><strongs number="266">sin</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>ye have <strongs number="1585">forgotten</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3874">exhortation</strongs><strongs number="3748">which</strongs><strongs number="1256">speaketh</strongs>unto <strongs number="5213">you</strongs><strongs number="5613">as</strongs>unto <strongs number="5207">children</strongs>, <strongs number="3450">My</strongs><strongs number="5207">son</strongs>, <strongs number="3643">despise</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>thou the <strongs number="3809">chastening</strongs>of the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>, <strongs number="3366">nor</strongs><strongs number="1590">faint</strongs>when thou art <strongs number="1651">rebuked</strongs><strongs number="5259">of</strongs><strongs number="846">him</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs><strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>the <strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs><strongs number="25">loveth</strongs>he <strongs number="3811">chasteneth</strongs>, <strongs number="1161">and</strongs><strongs number="3146">scourgeth</strongs><strongs number="3956">every</strongs><strongs number="5207">son</strongs><strongs number="3739">whom</strongs>he <strongs number="3858">receiveth</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'><strongs number="1377">Follow</strongs><strongs number="1515">peace</strongs><strongs number="3326">with</strongs><strongs number="3956">all</strongs><em> men, </em><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="38">holiness</strongs>, <strongs number="5565">without</strongs><strongs number="3739">which</strongs>no <strongs number="3762">man</strongs>shall <strongs number="3700">see</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2962">Lord</strongs>: </verse>

      <verse number='17'><strongs number="1063">For</strongs>ye <strongs number="2467">know</strongs>how <strongs number="3754">that</strongs><strongs number="3347">afterward</strongs>, when he <strongs number="2309">would</strongs>have <strongs number="2816">inherited</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2129">blessing</strongs>, he was <strongs number="593">rejected</strongs>: <strongs number="1063">for</strongs>he <strongs number="2147">found</strongs><strongs number="3756">no</strongs><strongs number="5117">place</strongs>of <strongs number="3341">repentance</strongs>, <strongs number="2539">though</strongs>he sought it <strongs number="1567 846">carefully</strongs><strongs number="3326">with</strongs><strongs number="1144">tears</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='19'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs>the <strongs number="2279">sound</strongs>of a <strongs number="4536">trumpet</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>the <strongs number="5456">voice</strongs>of <strongs number="4487">words</strongs>; <strongs number="3739">which</strongs><em> voice </em>they that <strongs number="191">heard</strongs><strongs number="3868">entreated</strongs>that the <strongs number="3056">word</strongs>should <strongs number="3361">not</strongs>be spoken to them any <strongs number="4369 846">more</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='20'>( <strongs number="1063">For</strongs>they could <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="5342">endure</strongs>that which was <strongs number="1291">commanded</strongs>, And if so much <strongs number="2579">as</strongs>a <strongs number="2342">beast</strongs><strongs number="2345">touch</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3735">mountain</strongs>, it shall be <strongs number="3036">stoned</strongs>, or thrust <strongs number="2700">through</strongs>with a <strongs number="1002">dart</strongs>: </verse>
