      <verse number='1'><strongs number="3588">If</strongs>there <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="7379">controversy</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs>, and they <strongs number="5066">come</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>, that <em> the </em><em> judges </em>may <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>them; then they shall <strongs number="6663">justify</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs>, and <strongs number="7561">condemn</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, <strongs number="518">if</strongs>the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>man <em> be </em>worthy to be <strongs number="1121 5221">beaten</strongs>, that the <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs>shall cause him to lie <strongs number="5307">down</strongs>, and to be <strongs number="5221">beaten</strongs>before his <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>, according <strongs number="1767">to</strongs>his <strongs number="7564">fault</strongs>, by a certain <strongs number="4557">number</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="705">Forty</strongs>stripes he may <strongs number="5221">give</strongs>him, <em> and </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3254">exceed</strongs>: <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>, <em> if </em>he should <strongs number="3254">exceed</strongs>, and <strongs number="5221">beat</strongs>him <strongs number="5921">above</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs>with <strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="4347">stripes</strongs>, then thy <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>should seem <strongs number="7034">vile</strongs><strongs number="5869">unto</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2629">muzzle</strongs>the <strongs number="7794">ox</strongs>when he treadeth <strongs number="1758">out</strongs><em> the </em><em> corn </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3588">If</strongs><strongs number="251">brethren</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>, and <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, and have <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="1121">child</strongs>, the <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>of the <strongs number="4191">dead</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">marry</strongs><strongs number="2351">without</strongs>unto a <strongs number="376 2114">stranger</strongs>: her husband's <strongs number="2993">brother</strongs>shall go <strongs number="935">in</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>her, and <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>her to him to <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>, and perform the duty of a husband's <strongs number="2992">brother</strongs>unto her. </verse>

      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="518">if</strongs>the <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="2654">like</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his brother's <strongs number="2994">wife</strongs>, then let his brother's <strongs number="2994">wife</strongs>go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to the <strongs number="8179">gate</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, My husband's <strongs number="2993">brother</strongs><strongs number="3985">refuseth</strongs>to raise <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>unto his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>a <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>in <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, he <strongs number="14">will</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>perform the duty of my husband's <strongs number="2992">brother</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Then the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of his <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>shall <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>him, and <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him: and <em> if </em>he <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs><em> to </em><em> it </em>, and <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, I <strongs number="2654">like</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>to <strongs number="3947">take</strongs>her; </verse>

      <verse number='10'>And his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>in <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, The <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of him that hath his <strongs number="5275">shoe</strongs><strongs number="2502">loosed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3588">When</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="5327">strive</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs><strongs number="376">one</strongs>with <strongs number="251">another</strongs>, and the <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>of the <strongs number="259">one</strongs>draweth <strongs number="7126">near</strongs>for to <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="376">husband</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of him that <strongs number="5221">smiteth</strongs>him, and putteth <strongs number="7971">forth</strongs>her <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, and <strongs number="2388">taketh</strongs>him by the <strongs number="4016">secrets</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='12'>Then thou shalt cut <strongs number="7112">off</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="3709">hand</strongs>, thine <strongs number="5869">eye</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="2347">pity</strongs><em> her </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs>in thy <strongs number="3599">bag</strongs>divers <strongs number="68 68">weights</strongs>, a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs>and a <strongs number="6996">small</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1961">have</strongs>in thine <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>divers <strongs number="374 374">measures</strongs>, a <strongs number="1419">great</strongs>and a <strongs number="6996">small</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><em> But </em>thou shalt <strongs number="1961">have</strongs>a <strongs number="8003">perfect</strongs>and <strongs number="6664">just</strongs><strongs number="68">weight</strongs>, a <strongs number="8003">perfect</strongs>and <strongs number="6664">just</strongs><strongs number="374">measure</strongs>shalt thou <strongs number="1961">have</strongs>: <strongs number="4616">that</strongs>thy <strongs number="3117">days</strongs>may be <strongs number="748">lengthened</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs>the <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5414">giveth</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>that <strongs number="6213">do</strongs>such <strongs number="428">things</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>that <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="5766">unrighteously</strongs>, <em> are </em>an <strongs number="8441">abomination</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="2142">Remember</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">what</strongs><strongs number="6002">Amalek</strongs><strongs number="6213">did</strongs>unto thee by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, when ye were come <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 4714">Egypt</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="834">How</strongs>he <strongs number="7136">met</strongs>thee by the <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, and smote the <strongs number="2179">hindmost</strongs>of thee, <em> even </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> that </em><em> were </em><strongs number="2826">feeble</strongs><strongs number="310">behind</strongs>thee, when <strongs number="859">thou</strongs><em> wast </em><strongs number="5889">faint</strongs>and <strongs number="3023">weary</strongs>; and he <strongs number="3372">feared</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>Therefore it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, when the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath given thee <strongs number="5117">rest</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs>thine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>round <strongs number="4480 5439">about</strongs>, in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>thy <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="5414">giveth</strongs>thee <em> for </em>an <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>to <strongs number="3423">possess</strongs>it, <em> that </em>thou shalt blot <strongs number="4229">out</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2143">remembrance</strongs>of <strongs number="6002">Amalek</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8478">under</strongs><strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>; thou shalt <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7911">forget</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
