      <verse number='46'><strongs number="1161">But</strongs><strongs number="5100">some</strongs><strongs number="1537">of</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>went their <strongs number="565">ways</strongs><strongs number="4314">to</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5330">Pharisees</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="2036">told</strongs><strongs number="846">them</strongs>what <strongs number="3739">things</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs>had <strongs number="4160">done</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='47'><strongs number="3767">Then</strongs><strongs number="4863">gathered</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs>chief <strongs number="749">priests</strongs><strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5330">Pharisees</strongs>a <strongs number="4892">council</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs><strongs number="3004">said</strongs>, <strongs number="5101">What</strongs><strongs number="4160">do</strongs>we? <strongs number="3754">for</strongs><strongs number="3778">this</strongs><strongs number="444">man</strongs><strongs number="4160">doeth</strongs><strongs number="4183">many</strongs><strongs number="4592">miracles</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='50'><strongs number="3761">Nor</strongs><strongs number="1260">consider</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs>it is <strongs number="4851">expedient</strongs>for <strongs number="2254">us</strongs>, <strongs number="2443">that</strongs><strongs number="1520">one</strongs><strongs number="444">man</strongs>should <strongs number="599">die</strongs><strongs number="5228">for</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="2992">people</strongs>, <strongs number="2532">and</strongs>that <strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="3650">whole</strongs><strongs number="1484">nation</strongs><strongs number="622">perish</strongs><strongs number="3361">not</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='51'><strongs number="1161">And</strongs><strongs number="5124">this</strongs><strongs number="2036">spake</strongs>he <strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="575">of</strongs><strongs number="1438">himself</strongs>: <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="5607">being</strongs>high <strongs number="749">priest</strongs><strongs number="1565">that</strongs><strongs number="1763">year</strongs>, he <strongs number="4395">prophesied</strongs><strongs number="3754">that</strongs><strongs number="2424">Jesus</strongs><strongs number="3195">should</strongs><strongs number="599">die</strongs><strongs number="5228">for</strongs>that <strongs number="1484">nation</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='52'><strongs number="2532">And</strongs><strongs number="3756">not</strongs><strongs number="5228">for</strongs>that <strongs number="1484">nation</strongs><strongs number="3440">only</strongs>, <strongs number="235">but</strongs><strongs number="2443">that</strongs><strongs number="2532">also</strongs>he should gather <strongs number="4863">together</strongs><strongs number="1519">in</strongs><strongs number="1520">one</strongs><strongs number="3588">the</strongs><strongs number="5043">children</strongs>of <strongs number="2316">God</strongs>that were scattered <strongs number="1287">abroad</strongs>. </verse>
