      <verse number='2'><strongs number="6680">Command</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, that they <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>unto the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs>of the <strongs number="4480 5159">inheritance</strongs>of their <strongs number="272">possession</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>to dwell <strongs number="3427">in</strongs>; and ye shall <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><em> also </em>unto the <strongs number="3881">Levites</strongs><strongs number="4054">suburbs</strongs>for the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>round <strongs number="5439">about</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>shall they <strongs number="1961">have</strongs>to dwell <strongs number="3427">in</strongs>; and the <strongs number="4054">suburbs</strongs>of them shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for their <strongs number="929">cattle</strongs>, and for their <strongs number="7399">goods</strongs>, and for <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="2416">beasts</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='14'>Ye shall <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>on this <strongs number="4480 5676">side</strongs><strongs number="3383">Jordan</strongs>, and <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>shall ye <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="3667">Canaan</strongs>, <em> which </em>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="428">These</strongs><strongs number="8337">six</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>, <em> both </em>for the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="1616">stranger</strongs>, and for the <strongs number="8453">sojourner</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>them: that every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that <strongs number="5221">killeth</strongs>any <strongs number="5315">person</strongs><strongs number="7684">unawares</strongs>may <strongs number="5127">flee</strongs><strongs number="8033">thither</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And <strongs number="518">if</strongs>he <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him with an <strongs number="3627">instrument</strongs>of <strongs number="1270">iron</strongs>, so that he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>: the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>shall surely be put to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And <strongs number="518">if</strongs>he <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him with <strongs number="3027">throwing</strongs>a <strongs number="68">stone</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs>he may <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>: the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>shall surely be put to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="176">Or</strongs><em> if </em>he <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him with a <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="3627">weapon</strongs>of <strongs number="6086">wood</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs>he may <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, and he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>: the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>shall surely be put to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>The <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="1931">himself</strongs>shall <strongs number="4191">slay</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>: when he <strongs number="6293">meeteth</strongs>him, <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>shall <strongs number="4191">slay</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>he <strongs number="1920">thrust</strongs>him of <strongs number="8135">hatred</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs><strongs number="7993">hurl</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>him by laying of <strongs number="6660">wait</strongs>, that he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="176">Or</strongs>in <strongs number="342">enmity</strongs><strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>him with his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, that he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>: he that <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><em> him </em>shall surely be put to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>; <em> for </em><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>: the <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>shall <strongs number="4191">slay</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>, when he <strongs number="6293">meeteth</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>he <strongs number="1920">thrust</strongs>him <strongs number="6621">suddenly</strongs><strongs number="3808">without</strongs><strongs number="342">enmity</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs>have <strongs number="7993">cast</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him any <strongs number="3605 3627">thing</strongs><strongs number="3808">without</strongs>laying of <strongs number="6660">wait</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='23'><strongs number="176">Or</strongs>with <strongs number="3605">any</strongs><strongs number="68">stone</strongs>, <strongs number="834">wherewith</strongs>a man may <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, <strongs number="7200">seeing</strongs><em> him </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, and <strongs number="5307">cast</strongs><em> it </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, that he <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>, and <em> was </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>his <strongs number="341">enemy</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>his <strongs number="7451">harm</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='24'>Then the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>shall <strongs number="8199">judge</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>the <strongs number="5221">slayer</strongs>and the <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>according <strongs number="5921">to</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgments</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>shall <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7523">slayer</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>of the <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5712">congregation</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">restore</strongs>him <strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of his <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>, <strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>he was <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="3427">abide</strongs>in it <strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>of the <strongs number="1419">high</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>was <strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs>with the <strongs number="6944">holy</strongs><strongs number="8081">oil</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>the <strongs number="7523">slayer</strongs>shall at any time come <strongs number="3318 3318">without</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1366">border</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of his <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>, <strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>he was <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And the <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="4672">find</strongs>him <strongs number="4480 2351">without</strongs>the <strongs number="1366">borders</strongs>of the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of his <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1350">revenger</strongs>of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="7523">kill</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7523">slayer</strongs>; he shall <strongs number="369">not</strongs>be guilty of <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='28'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>he should have <strongs number="3427">remained</strongs>in the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of his <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs><strongs number="5704">until</strongs>the <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>of the <strongs number="1419">high</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>: but <strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>of the <strongs number="1419">high</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>the <strongs number="7523">slayer</strongs>shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of his <strongs number="272">possession</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'>So <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> things </em>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for a <strongs number="2708">statute</strongs>of <strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>unto you throughout your <strongs number="1755">generations</strongs>in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>your <strongs number="4186">dwellings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'><strongs number="3605">Whoso</strongs><strongs number="5221">killeth</strongs>any <strongs number="5315">person</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>shall be put to <strongs number="7523">death</strongs>by the <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>of <strongs number="5707">witnesses</strongs>: but <strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="5707">witness</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6030">testify</strongs>against any <strongs number="5315">person</strongs><em> to </em><em> cause </em><em> him </em>to <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'>Moreover ye shall <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="3724">satisfaction</strongs>for the <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>of a <strongs number="7523">murderer</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="7563">guilty</strongs>of <strongs number="4191">death</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">but</strongs>he shall be surely put to <strongs number="4191 4191">death</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='32'>And ye shall <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="3724">satisfaction</strongs>for him that is <strongs number="5127">fled</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>of his <strongs number="4733">refuge</strongs>, that he should come <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>to <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>the <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>of the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>. </verse>
