      <verse number='1'><strongs number="7592">Ask</strongs>ye of the <strongs number="4480 3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of the latter <strongs number="4456">rain</strongs>; <em> so </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="6213">make</strongs>bright <strongs number="2385">clouds</strongs>, and <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>them <strongs number="1653">showers</strongs>of <strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>, to every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="6212">grass</strongs>in the <strongs number="7704">field</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="8655">idols</strongs>have <strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="205">vanity</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7080">diviners</strongs>have <strongs number="2372">seen</strongs>a <strongs number="8267">lie</strongs>, and have <strongs number="1696">told</strongs><strongs number="7723">false</strongs><strongs number="2472">dreams</strongs>; they <strongs number="5162">comfort</strongs>in <strongs number="1892">vain</strongs>: <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>they went their <strongs number="5265">way</strongs><strongs number="3644">as</strongs>a <strongs number="6629">flock</strongs>, they were <strongs number="6031">troubled</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs><em> there </em><em> was </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="7462">shepherd</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Mine <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>was <strongs number="2734">kindled</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="7462">shepherds</strongs>, and I <strongs number="6485 5921">punished</strongs>the <strongs number="6260">goats</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>hath <strongs number="6485">visited</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5739">flock</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and hath <strongs number="7760">made</strongs>them as his <strongs number="1935">goodly</strongs><strongs number="5483">horse</strongs>in the <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>him came <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>the <strongs number="6438">corner</strongs>, out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>him the <strongs number="3489">nail</strongs>, out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>him the <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs><strongs number="7198">bow</strongs>, out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>him <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="5065">oppressor</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as <strongs number="1368">mighty</strongs><em> men </em>, which tread <strongs number="947">down</strongs><em> their </em><em> enemies </em>in the <strongs number="2916">mire</strongs>of the <strongs number="2351">streets</strongs>in the <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="3898">fight</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>them, and the <strongs number="7392">riders</strongs>on <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>shall be <strongs number="954">confounded</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And I will <strongs number="1396">strengthen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and I will <strongs number="3467">save</strongs>the <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>of <strongs number="3130">Joseph</strongs>, and I will bring them <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><em> to </em><em> place </em><em> them </em>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I have mercy <strongs number="7355">upon</strongs>them: and they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as <strongs number="834">though</strongs>I had <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>cast them <strongs number="2186">off</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and will <strongs number="6030">hear</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <em> they </em><em> of </em><strongs number="669">Ephraim</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>like a <strongs number="1368">mighty</strongs><em> man </em>, and their <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>shall <strongs number="8055">rejoice</strongs>as <strongs number="3644">through</strongs><strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>: yea, their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>shall <strongs number="7200">see</strongs><em> it </em>, and be <strongs number="8055">glad</strongs>; their <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>shall <strongs number="1523">rejoice</strongs>in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>I will <strongs number="8319">hiss</strongs>for them, and <strongs number="6908">gather</strongs>them; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I have <strongs number="6299">redeemed</strongs>them: and they shall <strongs number="7235">increase</strongs><strongs number="3644">as</strongs>they have <strongs number="7235">increased</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And I will <strongs number="2232">sow</strongs>them among the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="2142">remember</strongs>me in far <strongs number="4801">countries</strongs>; and they shall <strongs number="2421">live</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>their <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>, and turn <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>I will bring them <strongs number="7725">again</strongs>also out of the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>, and <strongs number="6908">gather</strongs>them out of <strongs number="4480 804">Assyria</strongs>; and I will <strongs number="935">bring</strongs>them <strongs number="413">into</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="1568">Gilead</strongs>and <strongs number="3844">Lebanon</strongs>; and <em> place </em>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>for them. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And he shall <strongs number="5674">pass</strongs>through the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>with <strongs number="6869">affliction</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs>the <strongs number="1530">waves</strongs>in the <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4688">deeps</strongs>of the <strongs number="2975">river</strongs>shall dry <strongs number="3001">up</strongs>: and the <strongs number="1347">pride</strongs>of <strongs number="804">Assyria</strongs>shall be brought <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7626">scepter</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>shall depart <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And I will <strongs number="1396">strengthen</strongs>them in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and they shall walk up and <strongs number="1980">down</strongs>in his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
